ZZM Familie Trust of Sakkie and Zel-Mari Coetzee from Stell.a In the Nor th West Province have done just that breeding up their commercial herd into a really impressive stud unit in just six good years.
Step 1: Commit to breeding Stud Cattle
Step 2: Reorganize the entire farming operation into farming stud cattle. Step 3: Inspect and pass. All potential commercial cows into F1 cums using the Simbra Herd inspectors.
Step 4: Purchasing good, right type Simbra bulls, Semen and cows that will take you and your cattle to your intended phenotypical goal.

ZZM Familie Trust Simbra’s best kept secret!
Six years ago we star ted with a solid base of good commercial cattle that had been bred up from Simmentaler and Brahman Bulls
We had these inspected and made into F1 Cum Cattle. We used the Ex-celsus bulls, Viju, a Vegkop son and then purchased Excelsus Zeke, Oogies,
Masker, Mc Ally, Jethro and Brus These bulls laid a foundation of top quality F2 females that really star ted looking like the type of cattle that we wanted to breed..
We then bought the two Excelsus show bulls Zamugo Socrates and Za-mugo Plato which were named after the wise men of old..
Their calves fur ther improved our herd!

Top bulls breed top calves!
The transformation of these Brahman Type females into a right type Simbra was astonishing! GC The sheer weight at weaning of these Simbra proves that Simbra bulls can be used in the Vryburg area.!
Again just simple no fuss breeding!

Enter the Professional
We then borrowed Excelsus Professional for a season and Pro had an immediate impact breeding a batch of strong bulls from a group of young heifers. The pictures below are Pro’s first calve at about two weeks of age. The young bull on the bottom right is Z1009 Bosch and can be seen as the far left calf in the far left picture
Here Z1009 stands with his first batch of calves. Professional has bred some useful bulls for Excelsus in one season here for us before heading up WG Oliviers Studs bull Battery. Professional will be up for sale on our 15 August Sale 2013 for WG and
Alta Olivier. GC

Excelsus Bulls Calves in the Kalahari!!
One of the main strengths of using Simbra bulls is that you get all the great qualities of the two parent breeds, hardiness from the Brahman and growth and Milk from the Simmentaler all in one animal.
i.e, Simbra the perfect all-rounder !!

Bosch Herd Consultation 2103
June 2013 saw our latest consultation happen at Buffels Bosch in the Stella district. This was for me by far the best of these yearly visits to this up and coming herd. The improvement from wild cattle waiting at the closed off. water troughs and chasing me and my camera to the organized calm kraals and beautiful cattle is
truly remarkable. Well done Oom Sakkie and Zelmarie Coetzee!!
