So many tents... so what's the difference?

Tent tops should always be made out of flame retardant material. There aretwo primary types of material – translucent and blackout. Translucent is alighter material that allows light to pass through. Blackout is usually a heaviermaterial that blocks light and thus more heat than translucent.

Most striped tents use translucent material. Pure white tents can use eithertranslucent or blackout material. In Texas, blackout material is typically pre-ferred to assist in decreasing the heat load on guests.

Almost all of Rental World’s white tents use the upgraded blackout material.

Rental World has hundreds of colorful, eye-catchingbooths and tents to satisfy almost any event's boothand tent requirements.

Our 8x8 and 10x10 festival booths come in a variety of bright colors. Eachbooth has a large front area for signage and a rearward sloping roof for a sharpclean look. Each booth may be set up as an independent unit or clustered to-gether into colorful pods.

Our versatile booths may be set up with open or countered fronts. Full meshor solid sidewalls can be added instead of or in addition to the standard coloredhalf sidewalls to meet your event's specific requirements.

Along with our standard line of festival booths, each of our frame andframe/cable tents can be set up as a booth with or without counters. In addi-

tion, Rental World recently added a line of aluminum 42”x42” ticket booths

with lockable doors and available AC.

Our lessons learned, along with industry training, and competitive benchmark-ing have lead to the development of industry leading tent-related processes.These Rental World standards and processes help ensure that our cus-tomers receive high quality, clean tents each and every rental.

TENT CLEANING - Between each rental, each tent is washed and dried,checked for damage, and repaired as needed. All but our very largest tentsare washed in one of our giantindustrial washing machines.

Most tent companies do notwash their tents after everyrental. When they do washtheir tents, most companiesuse pressure washers,brooms, and sometimes floorbuffers. Although RentalWorld used this samemethod for over 20 years, thismanual method simply does not provide the samequality washing as our industrial washers. RentalWorld’s cleaning methods keep our tents whiterand brighter than the competition.

Rental World utilizes cleaners engineered specif-ically for tents. These tent specific chemicals provide optimum clean-ing performance, while maintaining tent luster and material integrity. Standardchemicals such as bleach and degreasers, used by most rental companies,deteriorate the tent material and lead to tents becoming dull and brittle.

TENT STORAGE & INSTALLA-TION - To ensure that our cleantents remain clean and undam-aged, Rental World storeseach tent in labeled dust freestorage boxes. These boxeskeep our tents clean, dry, andprotected during storage, load-ing, and transport. Finally, dur-ing installation grounds tarpsare placed under the tents tohelp ensure that your tents re-main as clean as possible foryour event.

Tension tents provide high sweeping peeksfor dramatic effects!

Tension tents are similar to poletents in that they also have centerpoles. Tension tents do not havequarter poles, but sometimesthey do have twin center poles as pictured by our100x below. Like pole tents, tensions tents must be staked or anchored withbolts. Like pole tents, tension tents can be setup in almost any length.

Tension tents are noted for their sleek elegant lines, high sweeping slopes, andare most often white. They are used extensively for weddings and other higher-end events. Tension tents generally hold-up better in windy conditions, andsome tension tents are engineered.

Along with a standard line of white tension tents, Rental World designed a

custom line of promotional tents in various designs and colors as shown onpage 35.

Pole tents are one of the oldest and most utilized tent designs in the industry.Pole tents range in size from 10x to 120x and come in a full range of colors.Pole tents typically provide the most affordable tenting solution. The most com-mon sizes are 40x and 60x.

Kedar Frame tentsoffer unobstructedinteriors in almostany length!

Essentially, Kedar Frametents are a hybrid betweena frame tent and a structuretent.

Like a frame tent, an aluminum skeleton is erected. Instead of standard tubularrafters, the rafters are typically twin tube and contain channels to secure thetent tops. The tent tops have ridges along each side that feed into the channelssimilar to a structure tent.

Kedar frame tents are heavier than frame tents, and typically stronger. How-ever, most are not engineered. Like a frame tent, kedar frame tents may besecured with stakes, anchors, or ballasts. One big advantage of kedar frametents are that they can be set-up in any length.

Frame tents provide unobstructed interiors for maximum design flexibility!

Frame tents look quite sim-ilar to pole tents. Theyeach have constant slopedroofs. However, frametents have an aluminumskeleton that supports thetent canvas providing anunobstructed interior. Thealuminum skeleton pro-vides points to easilyhang small items such aslights and drapes.

Because of the aluminumframe and assembly labor,frame tents cost more thanpole and tension tents.Frame tents can be staked,anchored, and unlike poleand tension tents ballasted.Frame tents are generally

not engineered but can typi-cally take wind loads on par with tension tents.

Frame tents typically range in size from 10x to 40x. Continuous lengths offrame tents are typically limited to about 120 feet.

Rental World carriesthe largest line of structure tents in South Texas!Structure tents are consideredthe ultimate in tenting. A true structure tent is engineered.With proper installation, many structure tents can handle wind loads from 50to even 90mph. Most are rated around 60 to 70mph.

Structure tents use large aluminum beams with base plates. The base platesare typically staked straight down. Each frame section is constructed on the

ground, attached, to the baseplates, and then rotated into the air.Once several frame sections are inthe air, the tops can be pulledacross the frame through kedarslots similar to kedar/frame tentsmentioned previously.

Structure tents do not use exte-rior guy straps, just the anchorsthrough the base plates. Struc-tures can be ballasted withwater boxes or concrete bal-lasts.

Structure tents can be constructed in any length.

They are available in sizes ranging from 10x to even 200x! All of Rental

World’s structure tents come standard on 10’ legs.

Great looking high-peak tents with unobstructed interiors!Frame/Cable tents (marqueetents) are a hybrid between aframe tent and tension tent.Frame/cable tents have highsweeping peaks like a tensiontent but without center poles.

Frame/cable tents have perime-ter frames similar to frame tents.In place of rafters, frame/cabletents use cross cables betweenthe frame’s corners. The cablessupport “flying” center poles.

Some frame/cable tents are en-gineered. Frame/cable tentstypically can handle winds a littlehigher than frame tents.

Event Design - Partycad LayoutThe key to almost every successful event is planning.

Rental World understands that technology can be a very powerful tool whenused properly to greatly improve the planning process. Rental World designsand lays out most events using our PartyCAD software.

With PartyCAD, we are able to digitally design and layout each event in amaz-ing 3-dimensional detail. From simple backyard parties, to large weddings, tomulti-acre fairs and festivals, our Party-CAD software allows us to provide de-tailed, scaled drawings and renderings.Our software even allows virtual 3-dime-sional color walk-thrus that truly allowevent planners to gain a unique per-spective.

For simple layouts, we can quickly lay-out tents, tables, chairs, and otheritems based on estimated dimensionsor actual measurements. We can

also import AutoCad files,.jpgs, and other graphic files. Mostoften, we download scaled satelliteimages to facilitate design. Ofcourse, on-site visits are always rec-ommended to check for unseen ob-stacles and opportunities.

Many of our events have found itextremely useful to have a RentalWorld event planner attend eventmeetings. We can show and dis-cuss the event design on a large

screen via computerprojector and make lay-

out changes on the fly during the meeting.At minimum, e-mailing diagrams for re-view, discussion, and approval proves tobe an extremely valuable tool.

Rental World carries a line of 4x4 staging that can be configured in almostany size. Heights typically range from 1.5ft to 3ft to 4ft and sometimes 6ft.

Typical stage sizes for presentations and speaking engagements are 8x12,12x16, and 16x20. For concerts, stages usually start at 20x32 and go up to40x60, although almost any size is possible.

Small Generators

As a Honda Power Equipment dealer, Rental World carries Honda’s full line
