the challenge is to become a better version of your-self and make the world a better place. there are no shortcuts when it comes to personal growth. it is a journey which requires effort yet leads to a future richer in opportunities.

in an increasingly interconnected world, we need to maintain a long-term strategic vision, to be capable of leading and believing, not only in our core values and sound judgement, but in our ability to question the status quo. the creativity to meet the challenges that await us will be decisive in facing the present and future successfully.

the new leader must achieve the highest degree of professionalism and self-motivation to embark on the constant quest for excellence and personal and pro-fessional fulfilment. At the same time, the new leader must be capable of generosity in placing all this effort at the service of others, of society and of the world. if you consider yourself a demanding non-conformist who wants to better yourself, if you think you have far more to give to make a real and lasting impact, then you are an AeSe executive MBA candidate.

“Over the last 19 years, the AeSe executive MBA has led to numerous success sto-ries among its participants. From the beginning of the Programme, this is the best proof of its effectiveness! We look forward to working with you on the next step in your career.”

Taking an MBA was something that was part of my plans for a long time. It was a goal I aspired to achieve. After I went to an AESE Open Day, I had no doubt that it was the right time and place to tackle this goal. The AESE Executive MBA gave me tools to be a better professional, allowing me to put my knowledge and experiences into practice on a daily basis. It was a remarkable experience that is reflected in the professional opportunities that have since allowed me to face new challenges within the international group I belong to.

We all aspire to be remembered. Many even look for something more than mere recognition and reward, for something more profound, something we can say we are certain of.

During my two years in the 8th AESE Executive MBA I built up a comprehensive understanding of the basis of organisational success, with human capital and well-being at its centre. To give a small example, I learned about the importance of universal ethics, the advantage of being the first mover, the relevance of speed of execution, the impact of good communication and the ability to lead, all of which I currently use in my day-to-day job. Through an array of subjects ranging from fundamental disciplines in management to the world of entrepreneurship, the AESE EMBA has been a catalyst to my personal and professional growth.

The AESE Executive MBA was a remarkable and memorable experience. During the two-year course and with the very different experiences of colleagues and professors, I gained knowledge in several fields which enabled tremendous growth for me at both the professional and personal level. The case study methodology used during lectures facilitated constructive and practical discussions that helped me develop and refine the critical thinking methods and managerial approach I use in my day-to-day professional duties. I highly recommend AESE’s Executive MBA as it forces attendees to go the extra mile and improve their capabilities.

Challenge yourself

Whether analysing the challenges faced by a construction company, an amusement park, a ceramic manufacturer or an airline in difficulty, the case method asks the participant to put him or herself in the place of the manager: How can i increase sales in a negative cycle? How can the company improve its results in a new competitive environment? What incentive policies will work in a fast-moving industry?

1Read the case on your own, re-flecting on the main issues: What is the biggest problem? What are the alternative options for action? What would you do if you were the manager in question?

2Before class, participants meet in small working groups to discuss and compare their analysis and contrasting points of view.

3the discussion is then taken to the classroom context, with the teacher facilitating and conduct-ing a more comprehensive dis-cussion of the case. together in a plenary session, the issues raised in the case are analysed and the different courses of action are evaluated with conclusions and learning frameworks.

the case may be recent or a dilemma faced by a company two decades ago. However, the issues highlighted in each case are relevant and universal. More than 250 renowned national and international cases are analysed.

in contrast to lecture-based teaching methods, with the case Method the partici-pants do most of the talk-ing. the teacher facilitates and guides the discussion within a theoretical frame-work, asking questions and encouraging the participa-tion of the whole class to enrich the discussion with contrasting points of view, different experiences and cultural backgrounds.

A way to learn

The AESE Executive MBA teaches us to understand complex subjects, extract and analyse essential information, understand opportunities and make informed decisions in a short period of time. But a Leader who cannot work as a team is not a leader. It is necessary to bring together people with different skills and align them to common goals. It takes emotional intelligence to create a work environment that generates innovative ideas and solutions efficiently through team cohesion and motivation. That is what we learn in the AESE Executive MBA. That’s how successful companies work.

At AeSe, you will develop the entrepreneurial mindset and skillset needed to excel in both start-up and enterprise environments. those interested in launching new ventures will find an encouraging and supportive ecosystem to transform their ideas into businesses.

Promoting Entrepreneurs

Analysis of Business Problems (ABP)During the first year of the AeSe executive MBA, participants are challenged to develop a research project focused on a current is-sue relating to business practice within a real organisation.the choice of topic and company or organisation to be investi-gated is up to the participants. Within the ABP, participants will hold meetings with Manage-ment and Administration of the company in question, always within a framework guided and coordinated by an AeSe Professor.

Entrepreneurial initiativethe entrepreneurial initiative module develops the knowledge and skills needed to create new businesses, using a multidisci-plinary approach common to several areas of business.this module includes the analysis of cases of companies created on the basis of individual initiatives, but also offers direct contact with successful entre-preneurs and other economic entities.in the last two semesters of the Programme, participants are organised into groups with the aim of exploring the complexities underlying the creation, planning and structuring of new projects, culminating with the launch and public presentation of their busi-ness initiatives to AeSe Alumni, investors and venture capital companies.

Several projects developed in the various editions of the executive MBA have been financially sup-ported by venture capital com-panies and investors, supporting the creation of companies in areas such as energy, health, sports and services. the following projects were also awarded inter-national prizes: AgriMarketPlace, inocrowd, Hopecare.

The AESE Executive MBA was a career changer. The learning and experiences offered by this programme were the drive for my knowledge creation process, which has seamlessly complemented my engineering background. The AESE Executive MBA empowered me with a strong business mindset and immensely influenced my decision to pursue an international career.
