The Damen mind-set during the design process is to
reduce the impact vessels have on the environment.
The starting point here is the right hull because this
is vital in reducing fuel consumption. Every tonne
of fuel saved translates to a reduction of emissions.
In addition, the vessels fulfil the latest requirementsof DNV
Clean Design and Lloyds Register
Environmental Protection.
The location of oil tanks, hull coatings, refrigerants,
ballast water, waste heat recovery and other
environmental aspects were given great attention.

The Damen range of Platform Supply vessels consist of five
designs,
each dedicated for transport of supplies to and from oil and gas
rigs.
All vessels are designed to perform safely and economically in
adverseweather conditions.
A unique eye-catching design, with a well-designed, sleek
bow
ensures distinctive vessels which stand out from anything else
in
the market. All vessels are designed with a strong emphasize
on
cargo intake combined with a good fuel economy. Other
important
design aspects are a good sea keeping behavior, clever
designed
anti-roll tanks, azimuth stern drive propulsion, safety and
high
level of comfort.

ENVIRONMENTALLY
OPERATIONAL PROFILE
The new vessel type has benefited from input from clients
and from operational studies carried out on operational
Damen PSV 7216 vessels. We examined the logbooks and
asked the crew to fill in questionnaires. We really looked
at how these vessels were being used and all of this input
was fed into the new PSV design. This added to extensive
experience we had already built from our designs for the
Brazilian market, where more than 15 of these vessels are
operating to the full satisfaction of their owners.

in the world.
We provide you with a prefabricated shipbuilding kit and can, on
request,
combine this with expert assistance, training and backup. By
using standardised
components it is possible to make a custom-built design,
fulfilling the specific
local requirements. One in five Damen vessels are built on-site
by DTC.
