ExecutiveSurf was founded in 2000 as a d i rec t response to the cha l lenges and oppor tun i t ies presented to executive search by the internet. Today, ExecutiveSurf has a global search capability with recruitment experience in 50 countries and a closely connected community of more t h a n 9 0 0 , 0 0 0 e x e c u t i v e s . ExecutiveSurf is a web-enabled recruiting firm which applies web technologies to candidate sourcing. Through its Global Talent Gateway, ExecutiveSurf provides companies and executives with information, knowledge and support in the field of talent: identifying it, attracting it, hiring it. We work at all executive levels, in all business sectors and in all disciplines across the globe.
Talent sourcing made simple ExecutiveSurf is on a mission to master the maze of channels to identify and attract talent. We are keenly aware that recruitment approaches vary from country to country - even city to city, sector to sec to r, ro le to ro le . And no recruitment market stands still. We believe in recording the lessons learnt from each individual search and sharing our learning with our stakeholders: clients, candidates and colleagues alike. Some lessons are universal, others are entirely market and time specific. It is this combination of a profound understanding of local issues and a culture of shared knowledge that makes us unique.

ExecutiveSurf has few off limits agreements with global accounts that may reduce its effectiveness as a supplier for other clients. ExecutiveSurf complies with the highest standards from the executive search industry in terms of confidentiality, privacy and CRM protocols. Its powerful technological platform minimises the use of emails and other forms of uncontrolled means of delivery. In addition, as stakeholders in the talent market, the firm believes all its partners should be treated equally, be they companies, executives or interim managers. ExecutiveSurf is uncompromisingly internationalist. Rod Bailey, CEO, speaks four languages fluently and has lived and worked internationally for over two decades. ExecutiveSurf currently employs over 20 nationalities with linguistic capability to carry out worldwide research. The ExecutiveSurf culture embraces cultural differences: our multi-lingual research staff are based in the Global Delivery Hub in London where all process takes form, reducing the delivery time of each assignment.

Generally our fee is around 20% of total cash compensation for a basic search, and 25% for a full search which includes customised assessment and reference checks. The fee is divided into three tranches: retainer fee, shortlist fee, placement fee. We have a different pricing scheme depending on the scope of the search. Single country searches and multi-country searches require different approaches from our mother tongue recruiters who are on the project. Global agreements are linked to volume and forecast discounts are calculated at the end of the period. Additional modules, such as pre-employment screening, market mapping and background checks, are quoted separately. We have an organisational model which splits origination and delivery: • from the Global Delivery hub in London, senior consultants work on a country basis originating engagements.
They are responsible for search strategy and project set up; they also supervise the assignment and deliver add-on modules when requested.
• research associates are responsible for project execution and candidate relationships. Once again, processes are centralised, leaving the relationship with the client to the most effective consultant for each assignment, regardless of their origin.
