Sketches of Sciences Photo Sessions with Nobel Laureates

The project “Sketches of Science” encloses more than 60 photographs of Nobel Laureates,

taken by German photographer Volker Steger over the course of several years. The central idea

behind it: All Laureates were asked to draw their research or invention which got them the

Nobel Prize. Thereafter, they were photographed – freestyle.

The travelling exhibition “Sketches of Science”, which has been realised as a collaboration

between the Nobel Museum, Stockholm, and the Foundation Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings,

with support from the Klaus Tschira Stiftung, presents selected photographs – and tells the

interesting stories behind them.
