1 Global Village - Dubai.

Park Location: Google Maps.

Dubai Global Village is the Biggest Cultural event, family entertainment, leisure and shopping event

in the Middle East. It is held in Dubai each year during more than 5 months a year since 1996.

Global Village attracts over 5 million visitors among locals and resident of UAE, visitors from

neighboring countries and a percentage of the 12 million tourists that visit Dubai every year.

It occupies an area of 1.6 million m2, with parking for over 20,000 vehicles, Fun Park, concert stage,

international restaurants and nearly 40 country pavilions.

Global Village also has the following facilities:

- Medical attention for emergencies.

- DUBAI POLICE permanent office.

- Permanent Bureau of DUBAI MUNICIPALITY

2. EVENT DURATION AND TIMINGS

The event runs for 157 consecutive days from November 6, 2014 to April 11, 2015.

Opening hours.

The park is open to the public from 16: 00h to 24:00 h. Saturday to Wednesday

16: 00h to 01:00 h. Thursday and Friday.

16: 00h to 02: 00h. Public holidays.

Entrance. 15 Dirhams (for visitors)

Family Day. Monday. (Entry not allowed to men only)

The shops inside pavilions should be open and served throughout the opening hours of the park.

Timings for replenishment of product in shops.

Every day until 14:00 h

Timings for Set up and dismantling of shops.

Set up of shops:

From October 25th to October 30th, 2014 for external contractors.

If you need help hiring services of construction and installation of decorative and functional items in

your shop, please contact us.

From November 1 to November 5, 2014 to arrange and display product in each of the stores.

Dismantling of Shops:

3 days from the closing date of the event.

Note. These times are marked by the Organization of the Global Village, any changes will be

communicated to each of the participants within the next business day once the official

communication from the Global Village is received.

3 Access to the park and work permits.

The Organization of Spain at Global Village provides 2 Access Passes for each Shop.

People operating each of the stores shall wear them in a visible place throughout the opening hours.

These passes are personal and not transferable.

Work permits. All workers will require visa and work permit under the labor legislation of the United

Arab Emirates to work in Global village.

The organization of Spain at Global Village will obtain these permits on behalf of each of the

participants.

The cost of work permits shall be borne by each of the participants.

This cost varies depending on the employment status of each person applying for the permit, the

cases are:

Case 1) The applicant has a valid work visa in UAE. Cost 100 Dirhams.

Case 2) The Applicant has visa but no work permit, example. Husband Visa, student visa, etc. Cost:

1200 Dirhams. Note: Global Village will grant temporary work permits to visa holders whose

sponsor is from Dubai only

Case.3) The applicant does not have Valid Visa in UAE. (Normal case). Cost. 2500 Dirhams plus

deposit returnable of 3000 Dirhams.

Deadline for visa application: October 10th.

Required Documentation for visa application and Access Passes:

• Copy of passport scanned in color. (The passport must be valid for at least 7 months.)

• Current scanned Photograph, passport size.

• Proof of payment of visa costs + returnable deposit.

• GV Rental Agreement.

In cases where the applicant already has visa / work permit, the following additional documentation

is required:

• No Objection Letter (NOC Letter) signed by the authorized employer.

• Copy of passport of the employer, if individual.

• Business license if the employer if is a company along with Signatory card of the company.

Note. The Signatory Card is an official document of each company where the signatures of the

persons authorized to sign on behalf of the same are registered.

4 Customer services.

The staff of every store undertakes to exercise courtesy and respect to pavilion visitors, especially in

relation to the traditions and culture of a respectful Islamic country.

For Shops selling food items and / or cosmetics Spain at Global Village will provide each of the stores

a temporary permit for the sale of these products issued by Dubai Municipality.

This permit must be visible to the visitor at all times in the shop.

Customer Receipts. Each of the shops shall issue a receipt on purchase to each customer. The name

and number of each store in the Spanish pavilion should be mentioned in the Receipt.

Every Shop may use the system he sees fit to issue this receipt. The organization of Spain at Global

Village will provide each participant receipt book if required.

Cases of petty theft are rare but may exist, in such cases the organization of Spain at Global Village

will mediate to initiate the appropriate claim procedure with authorities. It is recommended in any

case to display the product at each shop in a manner that it is difficult to steal.

5 Global Village Regulation and Fines.

The organization of the Global Village has inspectors walking on facilities on a daily bases to ensure

compliance with its regulations, especially regarding opening and closing times of each of the stores,

staff access pass, smooth operation, etc.

Each of the Spanish Pavilion stores are responsible for compliance with regulations and fines

imposed by GV will be borne by each shop owner.

6 Spanish Pavilion - Services.

In this edition (4th edition) we celebrate the 400th anniversary of the publication of the second part

of "The Adventures of Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha." This is the novel translated into more

languages in history.

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza will be present in our decor and in our program of shows and

cultural events.

All this to surprise the more than 5 million visitors Global Village in its 19th edition and bring them a

little closer to our culture, our lifestyle and our products.

The Spain pavilion offers the following services to participants.

• Office for exhibitor’s care inside the pavilion.

• Service of CCTV video surveillance

• Security 24 hours.

• Housekeeping of common areas.

• Internet access in Office of the Pavilion.

• Common storage space in the pavilion (1 m3 per store) and in the park (1 m3 per store). These

stores are at ambient temperature.

• Name on the front of the store. (Homogeneous Decoration)

• Support in finding staff for the shops in Dubai.

Here are the characteristics of the staff that we can access in Dubai and the selection

criteria we use.

Nationality: Filipino. Fluent in English.

Experience in UAE in positions of Sales and / or customer service.

Working hours: six days a week at Global Village timings.

Monthly Salary: 3000 AED per month including transportation to Global Village.

Employment relationship, strictly between the participating company and the person hired.

• Raffles of Global Village. The Spanish pavilion collaborates with weekly raffles organized Global

Village. Each participant will have a number of coupons that can be delivered to its customers as

they seem fit, but may not charge for them.

• Weather Information Service. The organization of the Global Village will communicate by means of

conventional diffusion and through Spain at Global Village any weather issues which might affect the

normal operation of the park.

In the event that this communication does not occur the park will remain open to the public with all

its implications.

• No running water in stores.

• Basic furniture and additional elements of each of the Shop:

LED interior lighting.

1 Plug/socket.

Shop Closing elements.

2. IKEA Billy shelving type.

1 Counter.

1 rubbish bin.

1 stool.

Other Services form Spain at Global village with a FEE :

The organization of Spain at Global Village offers the following services on hiring bases.

• Staff replacement on days off. (DAYS OFF SERVICE)

The Global Village is open to the public every day of the week. The organization offers replacement

staff to each of the stores to cover the weekly days off of the staff employed by each Shop.

This service is contracted monthly and in advance of at least 15 days.

FEE: Service Days off one day a week. 750 AED / month.

Service Days off two (2) days a week. 1,500 AED / month.

• Daily transportation of personnel to and from the park.

Spain at Global Village offers a daily shuttle set for permanent staff of each of the stores. From home

to the Global Village and vice versa. This service is contracted monthly and in advance of at least 15

days.

FEE: 500 AED / month (Dubai only)

• Credit card Payment Gateway. 5% commission

• Delivery Service of product to the end customer.

Participants of Spain at Global Village may accept telephone orders Internet, or as deemed

appropriate. The organization provides a service of home delivery from Spain pavilion only and

to any destination in the UAE in one day a week.

This service is contracted monthly and in advance of at least 15 days.

FEE: 1000 AED / month.

7. Grouped Transport from Valencia to the Spanish pavilion.

Participants may use their own international transport and delivery service to Global Village. Spain at

Global Village gives each participant legal coverage for the import of products for the Spain pavilion.

The Organization of Spain At Global Village offers participants a service of consolidated cargo by

conventional container (not temperature controlled) from Valencia to the Spanish pavilion.

Merchandise: remontable, not IMO, not requiring temperature control.

The shipping schedule will be communicated well in advance.

The first grouped shipment will be made in the first week of October.

The conditions of this service and negotiated rates with our shipping agent are listed in the Annex.

The cost of transport and the import tariff (5%) shall be borne by each of the participants, and the

individual cost will be calculated based on the volume (m3) of shipments and value of commercial

invoice for import tariff.

The organization of Spain at Global Village will invoice transport costs to each participant once

merchandise is received in Dubai and the participant agrees to pay this amount within the next 5

days.

The Consolidated transport service may be hired with the following documents sent to

• AED 5000 deposit returnable.

• Acceptance of our negotiated rates with our shipping agent. (see bellow)

• List of companies / vendors that will utilize this service on behalf of each shop owner. (Each

participating company may have several product suppliers)

Air shipments. In this case there is no consolidations service in place. The organization also has

negotiated rates with logistics companies who can be sent to any shop owner upon request.

8. Not permitted products and products with special requirements.

• Alcoholic beverages and products with alcohol content exceeding 0.05% (natural

fermentation limit)

• Any product derived from pork and / or containing it as an ingredient.

• Food products containing ingredients or additives not permitted by the regulation of EAU.

• Plants with soil.

• Products that represent any risk to visitors, eg sharp or pointed objects.

Products with special requirements on labeling.

Food and cosmetics.

The products shall be labeled in English, temporary labels (stickers on white) are permitted

with the following information in English. These stickers will stick on each product in a

location that does not obstruct the original information.

9 Accommodation and hotels. The rental market in Dubai is pretty fast and with pretty fluctuating prices. It is recommended to

start the search as soon as possible.

The organization of Spain at Global Village offers corporate rates in some hotels in Dubai

that will be sent to those who request it for the initial days, while looking for final residence.

The Global Village is well connected by highway With Dubai and other emirates, if you have

a car, it can be interesting in terms of rent price to look for residence in other UAE emirates.

10. Car Rental.

Driving licenses in AEU.

Anyone can drive and car hire a car in UAE with Spanish license or international driving license while

not having UAE visa.

Upon obtaining this UAE visa, you must validate your license and obtain your UAE driving license.

The car rental companies may require your passport and keep it during the rental period. Although

this is legal, it is quite inconvenient for the renter.

11 Holidays Calendar.

Islamic holidays are determined annually based on the lunar calendar, which means that usually

exact date can vary a day or two, so that the exact dates are known only a few days in advance.

You can consult the schedule of public Holidays in the UAE and in neighboring countries in the

- The holidays from neighboring countries, especially Saudi Arabia. Qatar and Kuwait.

12 Currency and exchange rates.

The UAE currency is Emirati Dirham (AED.) Dirhams Exchange rate is fixed to the USD (1 USD = 3.65

AED).

The following table shows the fixed exchange rate of AED Dirhams to major currencies in the region:

1 AED = 1.02 Saudi Arabian Rial.

1 AED = 0.95 Qatari Rial

1 AED = 0.078 Kuwait Dinar.

1 AED = 0.10 Bahrain Dinar

1 AED = 0.10 Omani Rial

There are ATMs in the park as well as exchange offices available to visitors and exhibitors.
