In Sahakar Maharshi Shivajirao Alias Dadasaheb Kale Administrative

Buildingfollowing offices and departments have been situated. Honorable president’s office

(institutional office),Principal’s office, office of president representative and Department of

commerce and Research Center,Department of Physics and Physics Laboratories and

Examination cell and various classrooms have beenlocated.

New Building

In New building, the following departments of Faculty of Arts have been functioning

-Department of Psychology –Department of Geography - Department of English, GIS lab -

Department of Marathi - Department of Hindi - Department of Political Science- Department

of Economics and new laboratories of Chemistry have been functioning and various

classrooms have beenlocated.

Old Building

In the old building, Department of Mathematics - Department of History - Department of

Education and NSS office and various classrooms have been located.

Science Building

In the Science building, laboratories of Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, DNA and

Research Center and various departments of science and their classrooms have been located.

Rajmata Jijau Auditorium

Established in 1984, Situated at the center of college, with a capacity of about 200

seats. Auditorium is well designed and equipped with LCD, OHP and Multimedia facilities

like Video Player and sound recording.

Indoor sports stadium and Gymnasium

The College started functioning in the year1970. Since then the Gymkhana

Department has been making progress day by day. College has a Multi activity Indoor sports

stadium and well equipped Gymnasium hall in which many indoor games like Table Tennis,

Badminton, Wrestling, Basketball, Fencing, and Chess are played. Play ground is also

available.

Laboratories

Chemistry laboratory

The Department of Chemistry of this college had been established in 1984. There are

6 laboratories for chemistry practical.Total area of the all lab is 748.98 Sq.m. and it is

equipped with all the necessary and modern equipments and instruments. Separate

laboratories are available for UG and PG. Along with separate Laboratories for physical

instrumental practical.

Physics Laboratory

The Department of physics of this college had been established in 1984. There are 3

laboratories and one Dark room for physics practical.Total area of all lab is 277 Sq.m.The

laboratories are fully equipped with instruments, equipments and departmental library.The

department also has separate computer lab with all facilities. Separate laboratories are

available for UG.

Botany Laboratory

The department was established in the year 1984. There are total 2laboratories for

botany practical with Tissue culture Laboratory (area 43.8 sq.m)with media preparation,

Inoculation, Incubationfacilities. Total area of the all lab is 165.71 Sq.m.

Zoology Laboratory

The department of Zoology was established in 1984. It has 4 labs 2 for routine

Practical, one is Research Center lab and also has DNA lab. (Under DST-FIST scheme)fully

equipped with instruments, equipments and departmental library. Total area of all

Laboratories is 294.05Sq.m.The Department is a Recognized Research Centre of S.P.P.U,

with five research guides.

Library

Total area of Library building is 304.80 Sq.mtr sitting capacity of Reading Hall is

150. Library provides Internet Facility to access to online e-journal & e-books subscribed and

freely available on the internet to the student and faculty.

Open Access system for P.G. & Research students are available, News paper clipping

are also available services.

N . S . S .

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has been introduced in Shri Shiv Chhatrapati

College, Junnar since 1971-72 as part of academic programs.NSS department is situated at

the center of college, near Rajmata Jijau hall.

N.C.C.

The introduction of NCC Department has been since 1970. NCC is available for all

faculty Students in our College. Our NCC Unit is under by 36 Maharashtra Battalion NCC

Pune. Total 100 Students can participate in NCC per year. NCC department is situated in

boy’s hostel building.

Jalkumbh

Central drinking water tank for students, located at the center of college.

Hostel

College has hostel for boys with intake capacity of 40 students. Ithad been established

in 2004-05. Hostel has well established reading room, Constant supply of safe drinking water

andfacilities for medical emergenciesare available. College has residential facility for the

staff and occupancy.

Sanskrutik Hall (Cultural Building)

There is a well-equipped staff common Room situated in the cultural building. There is

also a well furnished Internal Quality Assurance cell in function located in Room No. 68

Canteen

There are two canteens available in our college old canteen (near the indoor stadium)

situated in the college campus and new canteen placed at center of college. Faculties and

students are served the top quality hygienic food along with beverages.

Cultural activity

Students have various opportunities to participate in intercollegiate cultural activities.

For the events selected at college level, professional training by experts in the fields such as

singing, dancing, debate etc. is provided by the college.

Annual Prize Distribution

Our college celebrates Gymkhana Day and Annual Prize Distribution every year in

the month of Januaryopposite science building.

Parking

Parking space is available in our college forthe two wheelers and four wheelers.

Provision of separate Ramp for the physically challenged:

A separate provision of ramp for the physically challenged students to facilitate them

for their entry in class-rooms is made available in the new and old building as well as

Sahakar Maharshi Dadasaheb Kale Administrative Building.
