Energy-efficiency upgrades can help: • Reduce drafts and increase comfort • Save on your energy costs • Maintain a cleaner, quieter and healthier home Ways to save No-cost improvements Energy Trust trade ally contractors, who receive training and support from Energy Trust, can help you discover no-cost ways to save. An Energy Trust trade ally can visit your home and test for areas of heat loss. Your trade ally contractor may seal these areas and, if possible, repair your duct system at no charge. Your contractor may also install LED bulbs, high-performance showerheads and faucet aerators in your bathroom and kitchen. No-cost improvements can only be made one time per home, regardless of new ownership. Cash incentives Achieve greater energy savings when you make qualifying upgrades to your insulation, windows, and heating or water heating system. You’ll receive Energy Trust cash incentives that help offset your out-of- pocket costs. Incentives are paid directly to the owner of the existing manufactured home or property. Installations must be made by an Energy Trust trade ally contractor or actively licensed contractor. There are also cash incentives for self-installing qualifying floor insulation or a smart thermostat. Who is eligible? Oregon residents who own or rent an existing manufactured home that is not on a permanent attached foundation may qualify to receive no-cost improvements and cash-back incentives from Energy Trust (other cash-back incentives may apply to homes on a permanent attached foundation). Your existing manufactured home must be prequalified before installation can begin. If you do not own your existing manufactured home, the property owner or manager must approve the project before it can begin. You must heat your existing manufactured home with electricity or gas from Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista to be eligible.

Ways to save

INCENTIVES FOR EXISTING MANUFACTURED HOMES

Heating

Ductless heat pumps

$800—ductless heat pump with HSPF 9.0 or greater, for an upgrade from an electric furnace, baseboard heat, wall heater or ceiling heat

This incentive is paid one time per home, regardless of new ownership.

Ducted heat pumps

$700—heat pump with HSPF 8.5 or greater, for an upgrade from an electric furnace, baseboard heat, wall heater or ceiling heat

Smart thermostat

$50—select models qualify, home must be heated by a forced-air furnace (electric or gas), or by a ducted heat pump

Windows and insulation

Floor insulation

$0.30 per sq. ft.

Efficient windows

$4 per sq. ft.—U-Value 0.27 or less

$1.75 per sq. ft.—U-Value 0.28 to 0.30

Water heating

Energy Trust trade allies offer quality water heater installations at competitive prices, and select retail store locations offer instant discounts on efficient gas and electric models.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Establish your eligibility

Your existing manufactured home must be prequalified before installation can begin. To prequalify, call 1.866.368.7878 and receive a list of approved Energy Trust trade ally contractors in your area.

2. Select a contractor

To receive no-cost improvements, all work must be made by an Energy Trust approved trade ally contractor. To receive all other cash incentives, installations must be made by a trade ally contractor or actively licensed contractor (with the exception of self-installed floor insulation and/or a smart thermostat).

3. Sign and submit your incentive

application form

Your trade ally contractor will help you complete the application form. Applications must be submitted within 60 days of installation.
