Expected outcome We expect that our nursing goals are met properly. The standard of care provided by nursing staff at Patan Hospital should make patients and their families satisfied. So we think we research would yield results that will suggest the same. At the same time we also expect to find out if there are some areas of improvement and suggest possible strategies for further evaluation and improvement. We expect to gather data enough to analyze weather or not our in-patients are satisfied with quality of care provided by nurses serving them in specific domains as mentioned above. We also expect to be able to analyze and suggest the areas that needs further evaluation and possibly intervention for improving our quality of care. The data gathered through measuring patient satisfaction reflects care delivered by staff and can serve as a tool in decision-making. Patient satisfaction surveys can be tools for learning; they can give proportion to problem areas and a reference point for making management decisions. They can also serve as a means of holding care givers. Patient satisfaction data can also be used to document health care quality.
