Microprocessor-based and available in two drive (solenoid) sizes: beta/4 and beta/5.

Maximum capacity for the beta/4 is 5.3 gph; the beta/5 is 8.4 gph.

Features include: Continuous stroke length adjustment Stroke frequency adjustment LED fault indicators Convex diaphragm Auto-degassing liquid end External access to relay outputs

Stroke Length Adjustment

Stroke length (fluid displacement per stroke) is manually adjustable using the stroke length knob.

The scale is from 0% to 100% of the maximum stroke length at a ratio of 10:1.

Multifunction Switch

The multifunction switch has settings for manual stroke frequency, external pulse contact, stop and test modes.

Stroke frequency control is adjustable in 10% increments from 10 to 100%.

External pulse is a voltage-free on/off contact. The Stop setting will stop the pumping. The test setting is used for priming the pump. It overrides any of the pump settings and strokes at 100% of the pump frequency

LED Indicators

The 3 LED’s indicate the pump’s operating status:

The green LED flashes with each pump stroke indicating normal pump operation.

The yellow LED lights when the liquid level drops below the first float switch triggering level.

The red LED lights in the presence of faults such as low tank level (with option float switch)

Cable Signals

A 5-wire control cable is used for external control.

Close brown and black to run, or open them to pause the pump. Use brown and black together for remote pause or pulse signals.

Relay Outputs

An external panel in the base of the pump enables optional relays to be installed on-site.

The Relay Output can provide fault annunciation, pace a slave pump or allow stroke counting on an external counter.

The SPDT relay is available for collective fault indication as either pulling in or dropping out (which also alarms on loss of power).

Liquid End Options

Liquid end materials include: Polypropylene (Viton or EPDM seals) PVC (Viton or EPDM seals) Acrylic (Viton or EPDM seals) Carbon-filled Teflon-PTFE (PTFE

seals) 316 Stainless Steel (PTFE seals) Liquid ends are available with or

without a bleed valve. An auto-degassing liquid end is also available for fluids that outgas.

Some liquid ends are interchangeable between the beta/4 and beta/5 versions.

Auto-degassing Liquid End

Auto-degassing Port (discharges back to tank)

Discharge Valve

Suction Valve

The auto-degassing liquid ends for beta pumps automatically evacuate gas bubbles entrained in the solution to prevent the pump from becoming airlocked.

The pump can self-prime against system pressure so it does not

lose prime.
