dance notation but on the stage of EXPLORICA it doesn’t end there. Through the course of a theme depiction, it

embraces rendering all the related human emotions in a heart touching way that strikes a harmony with the

audience. Unbelievable but true, this is Groove It Up for you…

MASQUERADE Masqurade is a dance form which is performed in costumes, wearng masks. This type of dance is different from

other dance performed because of this unique and interesting concept of masks and costumes together.

Rules and regulations: • in this competition, max. 6 people in a group can participate. • the performance should be approx. 3 to 4 min per group. • all the participants should have decent dancing outfit, no casual outfit will be allowed. • Use of mask is compulsory and will be provided by us. • all the participant should intimate about the song selection and are requested to submit the song in pendrive a day before the performance. •position holder are supposed to perform on stage.

FILMY NAUTANKI

The oldest and very famous forms of street play are the NUKKAD NATAK.

So just convey your message to people by a short story.

Rules & regulations: • The participants must have their identity cards. • Maximum of 10 members in a team. • Time limit: 10 minutes • The play must be related to the theme of EXPLORICA. • It should give a social message. • Play can be in Hindi or English. SPICE IT UP (Zaika) Bas ek rule, “Tasty dish warna game finish…..” Rules and regulations: • The participants must have their identity cards. • Maximum of 2 members in a team. • Time limit- 15 minutes. • Participants should carry their own ingredients. • No exchange or borrowing will be allowed. • The contestants will not be allowed to communicate with anyone once the event has started. • The preparation will be completed only in the stipulated time. It’s not to make you fight, but to test how you can put up your point to prove yourself right. If you agree with

some tenets of Objectivism, but disagree with others, do not call yourself an Objectivist; give proper authorship

credit for the parts you agree with.

THREE LEGGED RACE

A three-legged race is a game of cooperation between partners as much as it is one of

ANTAKSHARI It is a musical game and played with any number of members. Students have to make a team of 4 people,

which team stays till last wins the game.

TOO COLD TO HOLD Hold a piece of ice for a minute or two, the thing you need to do, is beat the person doing the same in front you.

Movin’ On Up - Move a stack of 40 glasses from top to down with alternate hands and bring the

last glass again to the bottom.

Penny Hose - Take two coins out of a pair of leggings put on your hands till elbows.

This Blows - Blow out 15 plastic glasses with the help of air filled in a balloon.

Noodling Around - Hold 6 pasta pieces on a spaghetti noodle put in your mouth for 3sec.

Hangover - Hang six hangers on onto the other without letting them move to the corners.

Chop Stack - Stack 4 lip balms with the help of chop sticks. The stack should stay intact at least

the analytical, decision making and communication skills. It's an arena where only the best minds can

survive, so oil your cogs and set the wheels of your mind in motion.

CASE ANALYSIS COMPETITION Contd.


Prior registration is mandatory

A case will be given to all the registered team one day prior to the event.

Teams can get disqualified at any time if the solution is found plagiarized.

Participants are expected to demonstrate their team spirit, analytical ability, decisiveness,

marketing and selling skills. The participants will be assessed on these skills and on their

representation of the problems and solutions of the case study.

PowerPoint presentation is allowed.

Analyze it within a time frame of not more than 20 minutes and enact

the solution (as a role play) within a time frame of not more than

10 minutes

Event is open to all individuals irrespective of institute, discipline and year.

Prior registration is mandatory.

You have to mail your executive summaries to [email protected]. If a team mails two or more

files, the last file received will be only considered.

The Business Ideas have to be sustainable, and the teams have to explain in their executive summaries,

the growth opportunities of their business.

Executive summary for Round 1 should be in .pdf / .doc format , Font :- Times New Roman ,

Font Size :- 12

The front page of both executive summary and complete business plan should contain

the name of the business plan, college name and address, names of the participants,

their mobile number and email ids

The identity of the participants should not be revealed in any other part of the document.

DOCUMENTARY MOVIE MAKING

Documentary is a technical craft combined with the art of storytelling using moving images. The Art of

Film making aims at providing a platform to the students to challenge and to showcase their creativity to the

world through the medium of reel. In this competition, students will be challenged to create an original short film

and also demonstrate excellence in filmmaking at all levels from concept art to polished editing. May the best

movie win.

Participation:

A maximum of seven members per team are allowed.

There will be a maximum 7 members in a team.

Movie can be in either English or Hindi.

It’s an open space to show your talent so there is no particular topic.

Movie has to be less than 10 minutes.

To register, all teams to send us the names of all the members, their email ids and contact numbers at

Teams will be invited to SBIT- Explorica 2011 where they shall have to present their movies in front of a

panel of judges.

PUNCH LINE Make a punch line of the given product or idea to you. The participant with the best punch line steals the show.

PANEL DISCUSSION Panel Discussion is a formal discussion involving five to seven participants in a group. It is a group

activity carried out by participating individuals. It is an exchange of ideas among the individuals of a

group on a “Corporate Culture.”

Participation:

Team should consist of 5-7 members including moderator.


The topic of the discussion will be given at the time of registration.

In case if the teams will be using slides they need to submit their presentation before starting

with the event.

The length for the discussion should be between 30- 40 minutes.

1. Participants must send the scanned copy of their Registration Form duly signed by the Director/Principal along with stamp of the Institute latest by 28th October at [email protected].

2. Separate Registration Form must be filled for each event.

3. The teams should report at the registration desk with the Original Registration Form (registered online also) from the SBIT website to mark their presence on the scheduled date of the event half an hour before the event starts. No team will be entertained thereafter.

4. It is advisable that at least one faculty member accompany the team (not mandatory).

5. Team leaders must pick up the lots at the cultural desk at the time of their reporting to decide the order of their appearance on stage. The first team must be ready at least 15 minutes before the event. Other teams must be ready backstage when the preceding team is performing.

6. Participants must bring their college identity card with them.

7. An official timekeeper will be there for all events. Performance duration will be strictly followed. In case any team exceeds the time limit on stage, they will be awarded with negative points.

8. All participants must possess their SBIT identity cards to participate in any of the events. Participants without identity cards will not be allowed to participate.

9. Green rooms will be provided 25 minutes before a team goes on stage.

10. Participants must bring their necessary material. Nothing will be provided by the organizing committee.

11. SBIT will not be responsible for any loss of instruments, costumes or jewellery.
