Technology project for grades 2nd through adult

Alabama course of study for technology standard:#15 Utilize information from a locally approved Internet web site.

Students will utilize Internet information in a

research project and create a PowerPoint. Equipment includes internet access and

Microsoft Office with PowerPoint. Primary grades will need a curriculum page, or

this Power Point, to provide quick access to specific websites.

Explore the links on ALEX to find web links and lesson plans for your grade level and curriculum content.

Together using whole class instruction research a topic. Students can take notes on the facts they learn. They can use the facts to create a project such as a Power Point and Word document. Students will create a book jacket for

illustrating information.

The following topics are familiar and easy for students to explore. Students should record 3 or more facts and present them in a Power Point. They can also create a book jacket on their research.

Once students are familiar with research engines they can independently research and develop their own projects.
