The energy industry was, is and will be a major factor in
Russia’s total economic production, because apart from the enormous
oil reserves, it also disposes over approx. 25 % of the entire
global gas reserves.
MARKET FACTS: OLD MARKET WITH NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Thus, it is not really surprising that the output is increasing
in order to finance the state budget and the initiated economic
stimulus packages.
However, almost half of the conveying systems are over 20 years
old, which makes a modernisation or replacement urgently necessary
in order to at least maintain the required volume of the
output.
Indeed, the Russian government is to a large extent trying to
carry out the implementation of the necessary modernisation
measures without technology imports. However, taking
the age of the existing infrastructure into consideration as
well as the share of almost 50 % of the entire industry production,
accounted for by the gas and oil production, it will be very
difficult to manage this task alone.
ROSNEFT and LUKOIL alone have estimated the costs for
modernisations and new investments as being more than 500 billion
US dollars.

On 17 – 20 April 2017, Expocentre Fairgrounds will host the 17th
NEFTEGAZ International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies
for the Oil and Gas Industries. The organisers of the trade show,
which hits the world top ten oil shows, are Expocentre ZAO and
Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.
NEFTEGAZ 2017: KEY INDUSTRY EVENT HELD EVERY SPRING AT
EXPOCENTRE
NEFTEGAZ 2017 and associated events are the only ones, which are
organised with direct support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and
the expert community.
NEFTEGAZ will be supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy as
the exclusive exhibition for oil & gas in Russia and will be
adver-
tised in all official letters/announcements and publications of
the Ministry.
The reason for this important support is that the Ministry of
Energy is the organiser of the annual Russian Oil & Gas Forum,
which in
future will be held in parallel to NEFTEGAZ, in order to bring
the Russian elite of politics and industry together.
That means, we can expect that the national industry as well as
the large and important nationalised energy companies and
purchasers will be represented at NEFTEGAZ 2017, as was the case in
the events before.
