Exporting Responses for a Survey Linked to Many Sessions Context:
• I have created a Session Feedback survey. • I have linked this survey to many different schedule sessions
Objectives:
• I want to export all of the survey responses to one spreadsheet. • I want to group feedback per session.
(1) How to Export Data
From the guide dashboard, click on “Advanced Tools”.
Click “Export Data”
Click on the name of your survey, ie “Session Feedback (CSV)” Note: The survey will not appear here until there is at least one response recorded.
Click “OK, I’ll check my email” and the spreadsheet will be emailed to you.
You will receive an email from [email protected]. Open the email and click “Download File”
When you open the spreadsheet, the survey responses will be sorted by Question Text.
If you would like to sort the data so you see a group of responses per session, we need to sort by Session/Item Name.
(2) How to Filter Data
Select all of your data. You can do this quickly by click on the arrow icon to the top-left corner of your rows & columns.
Click the Filter icon at the top of the screen. You can also find this icon in the “Data” section of the ribbon.
There are now little down arrows in each of the column headers in Row A. Click on the down arrow for Session/Item Name, and click to sort in Ascending alphabetic order. Make sure ALL of your data is selected when you click that little down arrow.
Your data is now sorted by Session name! The survey responses for each session are now grouped together.
