4-H is for youth ages 5 to 19. Studies show that 4-Hers say they are beer decision makers, problem solvers, public speakers, and team members because of life skills developed in 4-H. They also credit 4-H with helping them develop their leadership skills and a commitment to their community. 4-H community clubs are led by adult volunteers who help youth run their own club meengs, develop club acvies and service projects, and explore a variety of projects. 4-H helps young people see themselves as unique, resilient, life-long learners who acvely parcipate in their own future! Community club members are 5 to 19 years old. Clubs are spread throughout the county, so you can find one to join near you. Club members work on projects, complete community service acvies, and plan group acvies. If you want to expand your 4-H experience, there are lots of opportunies for overnight camps and conferences where we focus on building leadership skills, learning new things, making friends, and having fun! Members must complete at least one project per year. There are more than 50 projects to chose from including archery, dog obedience, cake decorang, cats, photography, veterinary science, foods, clothing design, rocketry, chickens, etc. Extension programs are available to all without discrimination. Colorado State University Extension, U.S. Department of Agriculture and Colorado counties cooperating.

Enrollment Opens: October 16 (Some clubs fill up quickly so call ahead to reserve your spot!)

Enrollment Closes: March 1 (Members who enroll after March 1 cannot participate in County Fair).

Enrollment Fee: $30 for members, $20 for Cloverbuds (members ages 5-7)

To Find a 4-H Club:

1. Visit pueblo.extension.colostate.edu to find a list of 4-H clubs in Pueblo County

2. Call the volunteer club leader and ask questions like:

Do you have room for additional members?

Where do you meet?

When do you meet?

What are the ages of the members in the club?

What projects does your club offer?

Are there any additional club requirements?

3. Select the club most compatible with your family.
