Must have a Diploma in Management or Administration from a recognized Institution.

e. Experience: Should have a working experience of six (6) years, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Laboratory Technologist.

f. Other Requirements:

Should have management, counseling, communication and interpersonal skills.

g. Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Work as immediate technical in-charge of Laboratory services.b) Formulate and implement research programmes.c) Troubleshoot and interpret all laboratory procedures.d) Write standard operating procedures (SOPs).e) Participate in the investigations of epidemic disease outbreaks and report to the Head of Division.f) Coordinate, supervise and institute quality control measures in the Laboratory.g) Institute safety measures against hazards and ensure safe disposal of laboratory waste.h) Participate in planning and budgeting for the Laboratory Unit.i) Manage and account for allocated resources.j) Initiate and ensure that staff conduct research and develop appropriate technologies.k) Receive periodic reports from units. l) Compile and submit reports to the Head of Department.m) Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
