Extra-Curricular Activities
Autumn Term
Programme 2016
We make every effort to accommodate girls’ interests and we are happy to
offer alternative clubs, providing there is a sufficient level of interest. A
suggestion is rarely turned down! A programme of clubs and activities runs
Monday to Friday throughout the academic year and is reviewed termly.
Activities run before school, at lunchtimes and after school, at the following
times:
KC provides an exciting and broad range of activities
for girls of all ages throughout the academic year. It is
important that girls have the opportunity to discover
new talents and to nurture those that already exist. The
broad and varied choice allows students to create new
interests, whilst also complementing their studies.
As part of this extensive Activities Programme we may use outside
coaching, specialist staff or resources, and for some activities charges will
apply (the majority of activities are free of charge). Activities which require
a termly fee will be marked with an asterisk in this booklet and will be added
to the end of term bill. If the school has to cancel a session then that week’s
cost will be deducted. Parental consent (by email or signed consent form)
agreeing to your daughter taking part in a paid activity and agreeing to the
costs for the full term is required in advance.
Timings and location of some activities may alter slightly to meet the needs
of any outside coaching. Pupils must ensure that they regularly check the
Activities Board (located along the Hawkwell Corridor leading to the dining
room) for any important notices relating to their activity or club.
