boiler and using only agro based fuel (exempted from SOz & NO, emission

In view of the letter cited under reference, the emission standards for SOz & NO, for

industrial boilers is notified by MoEF & CC vide ref(l)in compliance of the direction dated

02.Q5.201.7 issued by Hon'ble Suprerne Court in the matter of WP (c)-*A2911985(M C

Mehta v/s Union of India and Ors.).

Under this notification, SOz & NO* emission standards are not applicable to boiler

using agro based fuel. In order to reguiate such industries, CPCB has laid down the

guidelines to ensure that industries having boilers and using only agro based fuel and are not

using any other fuetr in the boilers. The copy of the guidelines is enclosed for implementation-

In this regard it is informed to implement the Guidelines and action taken report shall

be submitted within '07' days in the enclosed prescribed format.
