VACUUM & SPRAY Function

Whether blackheads or whiteheads, acne or blains on the face, not only is the appearance of a person affected but the metabolism of the skin becomes seriously impaired. The skins pores become blocked and the overall blood circulation becomes reduced. With ageing, the skins pores will increase in size and skin becomes much courser and rougher. By using the F-807 combined vacuum spray and patter machine, all of these problems can be improved by cleaning and clearing any blackheads, whiteheads, make-up residue and everyday dirt etc, in the skins pores. With the use of toners, astringents or soothing lotions being spraying on to the skin post treatment, many combined benefits may also be achieved. One of the main uses and benefits of vacuum suction treatments is the removal of toxins from the body, by the dragging or flushing of toxins to the nearest lymph node to be expelled by the body’s lymphatic system naturally. Vacuum

Using the chosen glass ventuse vacuum attachment (shape chosen to area being treated) to aid with the extraction of black-head (comedone), white-head (milia), and acne or blockages of the pores - everyday dirt and grease including stubborn make-up can be removed helping to improve the circulatory system and overall metabolism of the skin.

Spray

Using the spray bottle to spray toner, astringent or soothing lotion to diminish any visible areas of inflammation or redness, to calm and comfort and the skin and close the pores after treatment. Benefits

Increased blood circulation Increased lymph circulation helping with the removal of toxins and the bodies waste products Stimulates the metabolism Softens scar tissue Improves overall skin condition Helps cellular regeneration Can help with the movement of fatty deposit when combined with diet & exercise Contraindications (Medical approval should be sought prior to treatment if the client has any heart/epilepsy/diabetes or vascular conditions)

Pregnancy or client is lactating Skin disorders or diseases Cuts, grazes or open wounds Varicose veins Sensitive or delicate skins Inflamed or severe acne conditions Sunburn New scar tissue Bruised areas or oedema Loose sagging or crepey skin Thrombosis or phlebitis

METHOD Turn on the mains power supply, followed by the main ON/OFF power switch on the rear panel of the machine. Vacuum

Firstly turn on the vac-spray ‘power’ button to select the ‘vacuum’ function and start the vacuum pump. Adjust the ‘intensity’ (fig.I) dial setting to its lowest level. Connect the vacuum air pipe to the corresponding vacuum nozzle on the rear of the machine (fig. A), and then connect the other end of the pipe to the chosen glass ventuse. 4 x small glass ventuse attachments in different sizes are included giving you the option to perform all types of facial and body vacuuming. You may improve vacuum control by using your forefinger over the vacuum release hole on each ventuse. It is advisable (for cleaning & machine longevity) to insert some absorbent cotton wool into the glass vacuum attachments to act as a ‘disposable filter’ preventing dirt or debris from being vacuumed into the pipe, which intern will prevent debris entering the vacuum pump, causing damage to the machine. The glass vacuum ventuse must not be held in one position too long, to prevent hematoma occurring on the face. You should be aware that vacuum pressure is not instantaneous and may take a few moments to build up, when the pump is first switched on. It is advisable to use a small piece of cotton wool over the vac hole (on the glass ventuse) and between your finger, to give increased control over the vacuum pressure release.

Diagram of vacuum movements For the effective removal of toxins and waste by products, follow the direction arrows to perform drainage to the facial and décolleté lymph nodes. Spray

First- turn on the “vac-spay” on/off button. Then connect one end of the spray air pipe to the corresponding spray output nozzle (fig.b) on the rear of the machine, then connect the other end to the spray bottle inlet nozzle. Two spray bottles are supplied so that they may contain different liquids for use in treatments. To operate the spray bottle, simply cover the ‘top’ vacuum nozzle with your index finger which will allow the release of the desired liquid from the spray canister. To stop the flow of spray, simply remove your finger from the nozzle and the vacuum seal will be broken, stopping the spray. Always spray in a downward direction from the forehead during use. Care should be taken to prevent liquids entering the nasal cavities, therefore clients should be asked to close their eyes and mouth during this treatment. Maintain an adequate distance from the face whilst spraying so the effect is felt as a gentle mist landing on the skin.

Attention After vacuum treatments, be aware of the following. The tissue may appear red or flushed on its surface and this is a normal reaction by the skin tissue to the vacuum treatment. The skin may be gently massaged by hand in conjunction with soothing or moisturising products to calm the treatment area if affected. You (the therapist) should choose the most appropriate vacuum ventuse (size & shape) suited to client, and pay particular attention to the treatment length (time), and the intensity used. Particular care should be taken as to the ‘treatment length’ to ensure the skin is not over treated, and the vacuum intensity is set appropriately to prevent tissue damage or bruising to the treatment area. Constant observation is essential during this treatment and the client should never be left unattended while the machine is in use. If excessive redness is observed or any discomfort is felt by the client, the vacuum intensity levels should be adjusted accordingly. If discomfort is felt by the client with the machine at its lowest settings, the treatment should be stopped and not repeated until the sensitivity or discomfort is no longer present. Working time and intensity should be according to each customer’s condition & treatment purpose. When the treatment process has ended, you should adjust both intensity levels to their lowest settings to minimize any vacuum pressure prior to switching off the machine. It is recommended that you sterilise the ventuse attachments used after each treatment so they are immediately ready for use again.

Caution Never use the machine for extended periods of time, to prevent the pump from overheating and damaging its performance or causing the pump to seize. Always site your machine with a good airflow around it to aid with cooling of the pump. Damage caused by extended use and overheating is not covered under your manufacturing warranty. Never open the machine or remove any casings by yourself, the machine contains no ‘user friendly’ parts and injuries may result. Should you have a problem with your machine always contact your sales agent or authorised repair person. Never place vacuum cups onto the client’s breast before starting the unit. For safety purposes, you must always ensure the machine is started and both the vacuum and patter intensity is set to the lowest point before operation. Any damage (bruising/oedema) to your client’s breast tissue through incorrect usage is the responsibility of the machine operator. Never insert any of the vacuum tubing into the ‘air holes’ on the front of the machine as this may result in liquids being pulled into the vacuum and spray canals into the machine and will be drawn back into the air pump and may damage the machine beyond repair.
