Pass Coil over target at decreasing heights to gain an indication of centre of target mass


Large or Multiple Targets

• Step 2

Approach centre at normal height until detection tone is heard

Repeat Step 2 at small intervals to obtain outline of target

Listen for changes in tone pitch. This may indicate multiple targets to include booby traps

Care of the F1A4 Detector

• Ensure all connectors clean and dry when not in use• Storage temperatures –55º C to +90º deg C• Control box is water resistant but not water proof• Do not use solvents to clean detector - use a damp cloth

with mild soap or detergent• If brought into contact with corrosive substances, including

salt water, wash away with fresh water before stowing detector

• When not operating the equipment, do not leave detector exposed in intense sunlight for prolonged periods

��

• Place Skid Plate flat on ground

• Gently place Coil onto into Skid Plate

• Using light foot pressure press Coil into Skid Plate
