1. NOW! We use the present continuous to say that we are in the middle of action. Often the action is happening at the time of speaking.
I’m working now. = I’m in the middle of working; I’ve started working and I haven’t finished it yet.
Margaret’s having a bath.= She’s in the middle of having a bath; she has started having a bath and she haven’t finished it yet.
It is raining now.=It’s in the middle of raining; it has started raining for a while and it hasn’t stopped yet.
She is sleeping now.
She is not sleeping now.
