Theory of Distant Learning 10

• Transactional DistanceIt is imperative that the instructor is engaged throughout the length of the course, communication is the foundation of online learning. Student-teacher dialogue is minimal in online learning, however the structure of the course will allow a learner to succeed.

• InteractionMotivation from the instructor will serve as positive interaction for the learner, this will allow for feedback upon the submission of assignments. Learner to learner interaction will allow learners to communicate about assignments and collaboration projects.

• ControlLearners have the freedom to set their schedules as they see fit, online education requires discipline and persistence.

• Social ContextTechnology evolves everyday, learners must stay engaged with new technology as this will allow learners to utilize additional outlets to complete assignments.
