CERTIFICATE IN GOVERNMENT ANALYTICS ABOUT THE PROGRAM The Johns Hopkins Certificate in Government Analytics provides students with the knowledge and skill set needed to perform sophisticated data analyses, draw substantive conclusions, and communicate results for the purpose of improving the functioning of government. Through the use of cutting-edge tools and skills, students will be able to address contemporary political, policy, and governance challenges. Through their coursework, students will acquire foundational skills in statistical analysis and develop expertise in a specific analytical area. Our faculty is a combination of Johns Hopkins professors, scholar-practitioners, and experts at the highest levels of government and industry. The program welcomes students from diverse academic backgrounds. No prior coursework in quantitative methods is necessary. The schedule for completing the certificate is flexible. The majority of courses are offered online, though students can take some electives at the Johns Hopkins Washington, DC Center (located near Dupont Circle) if they wish. Students can take classes on a part-time or full-time basis. The average time for completion is two or three terms.
