Dear Prospective Student,

Greetings from GLS University!

At GLS University, we believe that it is not a crisis, but our response to it that defines us.

The COVID-19 global pandemic represents the most serious public health challenge that our country and the world have faced in a century. At the outset, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists, sanitation workers, emergency services workers, teachers, and everyone who is rising to the occasion and caring for our society at large. Your dedication, commitment, and courage deserve our deepest gratitude and admiration. Your service to our society is touching countless lives and making thousands of differences.

GLS University has been working tirelessly not only to help mitigate the effects of this crisis on the university community but also to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable members of society.

Our constant concern from the beginning of the crisis has been the health, welfare, and safety of the entire GLS Univers i ty community. Apart f rom taking the precautionary steps to curb the spread of the virus, we have successfully completed our vaccination drive and more than 500 staff members of GLS University have been duly vaccinated. As even the darkest night ends with the crack of dawn, we are hopeful that the measures taken will lead us through these difficult times and take us forward to a better future.

To this end, we have also taken a number of significant operational decisions. Whilst we all are adapting to new norms of maintaining social distancing; GLS University is investing heavily into world-class ONLINE platforms and Learning Technologies that will ensure that the education delivery continues uninterrupted. This initiative would put our university at par with the leading global universities that have adopted high-tech educational innovations enabling us in doing all academic tasks ONLINE such as:

1) Conduct and Record Online Virtual Video Lectures

2) Arranging Online Exams, Presentations, Quizzes and Assignments

3) Enabling Online Group or Collaborative work

4) Online Query resolution

5) Online Grading, Feedback, and Announcement of Results

GLS University and on behalf of my staff members, we ensure a smooth educational journey during your programme tenure at GLS University.

As one of the most respected and long-standing institutions in Gujarat, GLS University has taken its responsibility very seriously. From contributing to the CM's Relief Fund, a comprehensive student benefit scheme/ scholarship for all deserving and needy students to reduce their financial hardship, special scholarship for COVID-19 affected students, GLS University is doing its bit in line with our motto of “Learn, Love, Serve”.

While there is still a lot of uncertainty about the coming months, our plans for the next academic year are based on two principles that remain completely certain:

Beginning from a single law college in 1927, Gujarat Law Society has transformed into one of the largest and

most renowned destination for education in Gujarat. Visionaries and luminaries such as Sardar Vallabhbhai

Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar and Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai were the first to set lofty standards of

excellence in education at GLS. Today Gujarat Law Society has burgeoned into a mammoth trust that manages

30 institutions imparting quality education.

GLS University has been established to provide an ideal and creative learning environment and continue the

tradition of excellence in the education of the sponsoring body of the University, viz., Gujarat Law Society (GLS).

Gujarat Law Society, established in the year 1927, is one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in the

State of Gujarat. GLS University is recognized by UGC and is a statutory state private university established by

an Act of Gujarat State Assembly. GLS University, with its rich legacy of Gujarat Law Society, is now poised to

With every consecutive year, we try to include management-centric activities in IMAGE – An International Management Fest. It is the perfect forum to bring together some of the most intellectual and creative undergraduate and postgraduate minds from colleges across the world. Last year the college organized the fest online considering pandemic. The aim of Samvedna is to make students socially, morally and ethically responsible

Even during Covid-19 Pandemic, Samvedna contributed in many ways :

• SAMVEDNA has been working with TIDE for many years and has collaborated on quite a few of their

projects. This year, it worked on three of the major projects for TIDE with 31 students volunteering almost 900

hours over a period of 6 months. Students happily contributed towards the improvement in quality of

education for underprivileged students.

• Samvedna students participated in Fundraising Internship of about One Month for the children catered by

Muskurahat Foundation.

• Samvedna students interned with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Research Foundation for Hridaan Festival Organizing

& Management Internship 2020

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FYBBA

The applicant must have

• Passed the GSEB/CBSE/ICSE or its equivalent under the 10 + 2 pattern in Commerce or Science stream, with

English and Mathematics /Physics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics, Accountancy

• Obtained the following minimum aggregate marks :

For open category candidates : 45%

For reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) candidates : 40%

ADMISSION PROCEDURE :

• Application form can be obtained from GLS University Campus or login to online admission portal.

• Duly filled application form should be submitted as prescribed.

• Admission is strictly on merit list prepared on the basis of HSC result.

• Set of Merit Lists for all categories will be displayed on the specified date.

• Eligible applicants will be granted admission according to his/her rank in the relevant merit list and the

availability of seats.

• Candidates other than GHSEB will have to obtain PEC from GLS University.

• GLS University reserves the right to make an exception in the above rules without any notice. Decision of GLS

University will be considered final and binding.
