OVERVIEW• Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) was established 1955.• The Parlement approved the establishment by the law numbered 6594,

dated May 20, 1955.• It is the 4th university established outside Istanbul and Ankara.

OVERVIEW• 14719 m2 total area.• 3832 m2 is reserved for labs.• 11 classroom, 3 seminar rooms, 1 lecture hall and 2 PC labs.• About 120 students join to the department every year.• 24 faculty members, 16 Research assistants, 4 research engineers, 6

technical and 2 Office personal.• 30% in English. One year English language preparation.• 100% Turkish and 100% English programs are planned.

ACCREDITATION

EUR-ACE LabelIn 2013, MÜDEK was reassessed by the European Network forAccreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) within the scopeof ENAEE Standards and Principles for Accreditation Agencies andauthorized the EUR-ACE Label for the engineering licenseprograms it accredited.

MÜDEK is one of the 10 accreditation agencies in Europeauthorized to issue EUR-ACE Labels in 2014.

Washington Accord's SignatureMÜDEK was evaluated by a panel of experts coordinated byWashington Accord under the umbrella of the International
