THE EIGHTH GRADES OF MTS AN-NUR PALANGKA RAYA
ABSTRACT
This study aimed at measuring the significant effect of using idea listing technique to
increase students’ writing descriptive text score at eight graders of MTs AN-NUR Palangka
Raya. The study belonged to quantitative research with Quasy Experimental Design. The
population of study was the eighth graders at MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya which consisted of
two classes. The writer took the sample of two classes are VIII A as Experimental group and
VIII B as control group. The number of students of experimental group were 30 students and the
numbers of control group were 30 students. The sample was determined using cluster sampling
technique.
The result of data analysis showed that there was significant effect of using idea listing
technique toward the students’ ability in writing descriptive text at the eighth grade students of
MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya. It meant Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It can be seen
from the data calculated using ttest formula. The tobserved was consulted with ttable which df = 56.
Significant standard 5% = 2.01. Manual calculation found that the tobserved was higher than the
value of ttable at 5% significance level or 2.55 > 2.01. Then, the data was calculated using ttest
SPSS 18. it was found that the value of ttest was higher than ttable at 5% level of significance ttest =
2.559> ttable = 2.01. It meant that there was significant effect of using idea listing technique in
writing descriptive text at eighth graders of MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya.
It was recommended that both teacher and apply idea listing technique in pre-writing. It
is recommended for the teacher to apply idea listing technique in teaching writing by follow the
procedures: (a) Determine the topic, (b) Making technique using idea listing about the topic, (c)
Identifying and placing the topic in the center of the idea listing technique Asking students about
topic, (d) Linking the related word to the topic, (e) Asking the students to write the topic based
on idea listing technique.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam
menggunakan teknik ide daftar dalam menulis teks deskriptif siswa di kelas delapan MTs AN-
NUR Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan Desain Eksperimental
Quasy. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas delapan di MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya yang
terdiri dari dua kelas. penulis mengambil sampel dari dua kelas yang VIII A sebagai kelompok
eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelompok kontrol. Jumlah siswa dari kelompok eksperimen 30
siswa dan jumlah siswa dari kelompok kontrol 30 siswa. Sampel ditentukan dengan
menggunakan teknik cluster sample
Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dengan
menggunakan teknik ide daftar terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks deskriptif pada
siswa kelas VIII MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya. Itu berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hal ini
dapat dilihat dari data dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus t.observed itu berkonsultasi dengan
ttabel yang df = 56. standar Signifikan 5% = 2.01. perhitungan manual menemukan bahwa
tobserved lebih tinggi dari nilai ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% atau 2.55> 2.01. Kemudian, data
dihitung menggunakan ttest SPSS 20. ditemukan bahwa nilai ttest lebih tinggi dari ttabel pada
tingkat signifikansi 5% ttest = 2.559> ttabel = 2.01. Ini berarti bahwa ada pengaruh yang
signifikan dari menggunakan teknik daftar ide dalam menulis teks deskriptif pada siswa kelas
delapan MTs AN-NUR Palangka Raya.
Dianjurkan bahwa guru dapat menerapkan teknik daftar ide dalam pra-menulis.
Disarankan bagi guru untuk menerapkan ide listing teknik pengajaran menulis dengan mengikuti
prosedur: (a) Tentukan topik, (b) teknik Pembuatan menggunakan ide daftar tentang topik, (c)
Mengidentifikasi dan menempatkan topik di pusat teknik ide daftar Meminta siswa tentang topik,
(d) Menghubungkan kata terkait dengan topik, (e) Meminta siswa untuk menulis topik
berdasarkan teknik daftar ide.
