About Faculty TrainingAcademy Teachers in Engineering and Technology

do not undergo a formal teachingmethodology unlike the teachers in

Schools, where they undergo a formalteacher training programme.

In such situations even the existingfaculty members in Engineering andTechnology should be updated andtrained for new subjects and skills.

Funding

Funding of Rs. One Lakh was received fromthe Tamil Nadu State Council for Scienceand Technology for implementing the

Traditional Science and Technologydevelopment in August 26 2010.

The Faculty Training has generated fundingamount of Rs.15, 000 from the Tamil NaduState Council for Science and Technologyfor the programme.

An Induction programme for New FacultyMembers was organized between 15-17

July 2010. Over 60 faculty members were

trained in different aspects of pedagogy,psychology and interactive methods ofteaching including 25 faculty membersfrom other colleges.

A two day Interactive workshop on Javawas offered for the Faculty members ofCSE, IT and MCA departments in Sept 18-19 2010 in partnership with Digiterati,

Chennai. Totally 35 faculty members
