Our community association needs volunteers to continue to run all the fan-
tastic programming we provide! Join our volunteers who freely donate their
time to help others. It is an excellent way to gain skills, meet friends and de-
velop contacts. Use volunteer experiences to build your resume, improve
your language skills, gain self-confidence, learn about Canadian culture and
gain a stronger sense of belonging to a community. The City of Saskatoon
provides excellent training opportunities as well as a liaison that attends all
of our meetings.
The Fairhaven Community Association has various open positions within
our Executive. Please consider joining our community to help make a differ-
ence! Contact us through our website or Facebook page if interested.
President:
Position is suited to a motivated individual with strong organization skills. The
president chairs meetings, works with community liaisons and makes sure all legal
documentation and grants are completed on time.
Vice President:
Position entails the same qualities needed for President. VP assists the President in
regular duties to keep the association running. The VP should work closely with the
President with intent to move into that position when it becomes available.
Volunteer Coordinator:
This position would work with other organizations in and around our community to
make new connections and grow our volunteer base. We need volunteers to help
deliver newsletters, organize bottle drives, and help put on community events just to
name a few.
We NEED YOU!

The rink has enough floods on to start skating!
There are a few rough spots but those should
disappear as I continue to add more floods.
Light Update: The lights have been updated and
will not be staying on 24 hours like last year.
They are on a timer and will stay on 6 hours
past sunset.
Public Skating (without hockey sticks): The
signs will be put up soon and will have the
times that families can enjoy a skate without
dodging pucks and sticks.
We are looking for people/families to su-
pervise these times. To help out your com-
munity it would be great to see a family
volunteer for a week of supervision.
Supervision of a public skating time is
easy….you can go for a skate and just make
sure that kids do not have hockey sticks on ice.
If you are already going to be going for a skate
you might as well help out your community!!
Check our webpage for the public skating calen-
dar, if there is a week that you can supervise
please email me and I will update the calendar
with your name.
Public Skating: Thursdays 6 – 8pm, Satur-
day 1 – 3pm and Sunday 3 – 5pm
If you have any questions,
concerns or want to sign
up for a week of supervi-
s ion p lease emai l
