He heard God’s word and had conviction and confidence in what God revealed to him.
Enoch had conviction
An unseen God – expected a reward
Romans 10:17 NKJV “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
MNT “So faith comes from a message heard, and the message comes from the teaching of Christ.”
Noah built the ark
He knew a flood was comingHe expected to escape the flood
God told him - Genesis 6:7 and 13-14
He had conviction and confidence because of God’s word
Abraham went to a new place
Gen. 12:1 “Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.”
His faith came by some revelation from God
How did your faith originate ?
From God’s word.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24
“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.” John 6:45
