“Building Your Legacy” Orientation Schedule

Fall 2014 - August 23 to 27, 2014

FRESHMEN & TRANSFER STUDENTS

8:00 am to 5:00 pm Virginia Room - Student Center IDENTIFICATION CARDSStudents MUST have their Flagler College Identification Card produced.

8:00 am to 4:00 pm Bailey Lounge - Student Center PARKING DECAL PROCESSING

8:00 am to 5:00 pm Business Services, 20 Valencia St. STUDENT ACCOUNTS MEETINGS Students and parents will have time to meet with Student Accounts toaddress any issues or concerns with their financial status.

Noon to 1:30 pm Lewis Auditorium PARENT ORIENTATION - GROUP 1 (Students do NOT attend)There are two identical parent orientation sessions scheduled today, pick only one session.Parents will hear from the Administration about the College in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Parents are invited to mingle in the lobby after the session to network with other Flagler parents and the Administration.

3:30 to 5:00 pm Lewis Auditorium PARENT ORIENTATION - GROUP 2 (Students do NOT attend)This is an identical parent orientation session as in the morning.

5:00 to 7:00 pm Ponce de Leon Dining Hall FINAL ROOM VISIT AND DINNERor Student Center The administration will be available to answer any additional questions and there

will be an opportunity to make one last trip to your students room before dinner.

7:30 pm Flagler Gymnasium WELCOME TO CAMPUS EVENT - PLAYFAIRCome meet the Campus Activities Board (CAB), Student Government Association (SGA),and 700 of your new friends at this amazing campus-wide event.

9:30 pm RESIDENCE HALL MEETINGS (Mandatory)

10:00 pm to 12:00 am POOL, GYM, SAND VOLLEYBALL, STUDENT CENTER ARE OPEN

FRESHMEN ASSESSMENT SURVEY = FRESHMEN are requiredto participate in this computer based assessment program in the Proctor Library on Sunday, August 24, 2014 between 10:30 am and 2:15 pm.

Academic Sessions = Incoming students will be assigned to a specific academic session where full-time faculty will lead discussions on various topics including the summer reading, transitioning to college, and expectation of college level work.

Legacy Workshops = Incoming students are invited to these optional workshops which are designed to assist the students with transitioning to college and feeling secure in their new environment.

Legacy Bag = Backpack containing Orientation information

Social Events = Students are invited to all the social events during the week. The purpose of these events is to facilitate interaction with other new students in a fun and exciting setting.

You may arrive any time during your assigned time period listed below. However, after unloading, please move all vehicles from the parking lots to make room for other students moving in.

Check-in at Ponce Hall Rotunda. Parking is off Valencia Street.

Check-in at FEC Lobby on the 1st floor. Parking in the lot on Malaga Street adjacent to the FEC towers.

7:00 pm to 9:00 pm St. George Street - Downtown FLAGLER COLLEGE ON ST. GEORGE STREET Walk on over to St. George Street for free samples from some of our favorite eateries andshops. Wrist bands will be available at the Dining Hall, Info Tent, and the Legacy Store.

8:00 to 10:30 pm West Lawn SAINTS STREET FAIR Rides, Inflatables, and Games setup on the West Lawn.Join the fun when you return back from St. George Street.
