CERTIFIED RECOVERY SPECIALIST (CRS) CREDENTIAL UPDATED
On May 9, 2014, PCB brought together Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review and update the CRS Job Analysis and standards. Participant SMEs included: Lori Abbott, Betsy Duncan, Denise Holden, Jodi Holland, Robert Holloman, Mike Krafick, Denise McCulley, Al Meyer, Curt Proctor, and Jeff Reed. Thanks to all SMEs for their hard work and dedication to this process.
Minor changes were made to the CRS Job Analysis which can be found on the PCB website by clicking here.

PCB CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT REVISED SEPTEMBER 2014
The PCB Ethics Committee underwent a thorough review of the PCB Code of Ethical Conduct recently which resulted in the PCB Board of Directors approval of the revisions. The revisions are effective immediately for everyone holding a current and valid PCB credential as well as for professionals applying for credentials. PCB Code of Ethical Conduct Changes

IC&RC ADDS PREVENTION PRACTICE EXAM
PCB previously announced the availability of IC&RC practice exams for the Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Clinical Supervisor examinations. Now, a practice exam for the Prevention credential has been added by IC&RC. Each practice exam is designed to mimic exactly IC&RC’s Computer Based Testing platform and are available to any interested professional. The fee for practice exams is $49.00 (non-refundable). The rates to advertise in the PCB Newsletter are: $600/year (2 issues) full page ad, or $450 per issue $400/year (2 issues) half page ad, or $250 per issue Ads must be submitted in electronic format only (PDF, JPG, TIFF, PNG are all acceptable), colored ads preferred. PCB will present a free workshop on the certification process at your facility/agency for your staff upon request. This 1 ½ hour workshop will focus on the requirements for all levels of certification, recertification, and the written exams. 1.5 free PCB education hours will be given to each participant for use toward initial certification or recertification.
You will hear first-hand of any changes to the process, new credentials offered, and have an opportunity to ask questions.

CADC AND CAADC CREDENTIAL DOMAINS UPDATED
IC&RC has updated two of its international reciprocal credentials resulting in new domains for PCB’s CADC and CAADC credentials. The new domains for the CADC take effect December 2014. The new domains for the CAADC take effect March 2015.
