CLUB SRACLC INFORMATION

Purpose: SRACLC has long been asked about an after school program for youth and teens with disabilities and the agency’s 2019 community needs assessment again high-lighted the need. Many parents are seeking a safe option for care for the 2:30-5:30 p.m. hours, especially for the older students who have aged out of typical after school programs.

Vision: To provide after school care in an appropriate and safe recreation setting for children and teens with special needs and disabilities in Central Lake County.

Goals: 1. To provide quality care in a safe environment for children and teens with special needs. 2. To promote recreation and leisure through a variety of programs. 3. Topromotesocializationamongstchildrenandteenswithspecialneeds.4. To provide nutritional snacks for children and teens after school. 5. To provide a quiet space for children and teens to complete homework assign ments or for sensory needs.
