IT WAS A VERY BUSY SUMMER AT LITTLE SWEDEN! Our occupancy remains very strong and we have completed and con-tinue to work on several projects throughout the resort.

Through the end of this year and into the beginning of next year, we will complete the installation of new flooring in all units on our north side. This year, we have begun to install new carpeting on the main level in our north side units; that installation will continue throughout this year and throughout next year. All door mats and fireplace rugs have been replaced in all units. We have added 25 new bicycles, cycling out the older ones, and will continue with more new replacements next year. We monitor our equipment on a regular basis and have replaced golf clubs and other guest equipment as needed. We are planning now for some large spring projects. All buildings on our north side will begin to be power-washed and painted. Minor repairs to sidewalks and walkways will be made. A widescale tree-trimming project throughout the resort will commence in spring; we trim on a regular basis; however, due to the age of some trees, a larger scale branch trimming is need-ed. We continue to stay on top of our technology needs and we are positioned well in the future.

Little Sweden is also very active at giving back to our surrounding communities. We donate our used bikes to worthy community causes, as well as other items, and our employees give of their time and resources to pay it forward.

We continue to celebrate many employee anniversaries and ac-complishments. Your compliments of our staff are very much ap-preciated and shared with them. It is a team effort all the way here at Little Sweden!

We have some new fun and exciting plans coming in our future, so stay tuned! We look forward to seeing all of you as you visit Little Sweden, and we hope to see you at our up-coming Annual Owners’ Reception in Novem-ber (information is soon to follow)! As we approach the beautiful time of fall and the holiday season in Door County, we wish fortsatta välsignelser till dig i år! ~ Swedish for: ”continued blessings to you this year!”

WHO’S NEW AT LITTLE SWEDEN?

in Door County

A LOT HAS BEEN HAPPENING

over the summer months in Door

County. I t means more for you

to do and see on th is f ine

Peninsula!

We now have a real, live, working cheese factory in northern Door County. Door Artisan Cheese

Co. is located between Little Sweden and Egg Harbor and across the highway from the famous

Wood Orchard Market. This is a must stop for you. Not only can you watch them making cheese but

you can try their cheese along with cheese from all over Wisconsin. They also have a restaurant

called Glacier Lodge.

But by far the best part is their fresh cheese curds. These are

absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted.

Door County offers so many great places to enjoy either a

snack or a large meal. For something new give Trixies in

Ephraim a try. It’s operated by the Wickman House people of

Ellison Bay and they have a great reputation for good food.

For casual waterside dining with the best pizza try Sonny’s.

There’s a reason why they are always busy!

Good news. Shipwrecked of Egg Harbor is being rebuilt after

their fire and is scheduled to reopen before the 4th of July.

The Rusty Tractor south of Egg Harbor is always crowded for

breakfast. Why? Good food served in a farm setting.

So many choices from upscale to down home and it’s all good.

Ask our front desk staff or other locals for their favorite

places if you need suggestions.

What’s New

DON’T fall for these soon to be illegal over the phone sales pitches that try to take advantage of owners. They want you to pay exorbitant amounts to sell your weeks. Not only do these people scam owners, but they stick your association with bogus owners who don’t exist.

If you are having problems call our Manager, Lara Bush-Pensy.
