Fall arrestAs a general rule, it is recommended that a fall arrest system be used at working heights of four feet or more. This system consists of:• anchorage/anchorage
connector• body wear (full-body harness)• connectingdevice

susPension*Suspension systems are used widely in the window washing and painting industries and are designed to lower and support a worker while allowing a hands-freeworkenvironment.A typical suspension system would include:• anchorage/anchorage

• bodywear(full-bodyharness)
• connectingdevice(workline)• suspensiondevice
(Bos'n chair)
retrievalTheretrievalsystemisprimarily used in confined space applications where workers must enter tanks, manholes, etc. and may requireretrievalfromaboveshould an emergency occur. Aretrievalsystemtypicallyconsists of:• anchorage/anchorage connector(tripod,davit)
• bodywear(full-bodyharness)
• connectingdevice(retractable lifeline/retrievalunit)
* The positioning and suspension systems are not designed for fall arrest, and therefore a back-up fall arrest system should be used.

FriCtion BuCkleTo adjust the friction buckle, simply pass thewebbingovertheknurled bar and back down between the
knurled bar and frame. Pull web end
to tighten.
mating BuCkleTo connect the
mating buckle, push the centre bar buckle completely through the square link and allow it to fall into
place. Pull web end to tighten.
tongue BuCkleThe tongue buckle works similar to a
belt buckle. Insert the loose strap of
webbing through the tongue buckle
placing the buckle tongue through the
appropriate grommet hole. Push remaining webbing through the
keeper.
QuiCk-ConneCt BuCkle
Quick-Connect Buckles
for chest and leg straps interlock
similar to a seat belt for easy donning and
feature a dual-tab release mechanism to preventaccidental
opening.
How to Don a Harness
Hold harness by back D-ring. Shake harness to allow straps to fall in place.
Ifchest,legand/orwaist straps are buckled,
release straps and unbuckle at this time.
Slipstrapsovershoulders so D-ring
is located in middle of back between shoulder
blades.
Pull leg straps between legs and
connect to opposite end. If belted
harness, connect waist strap after leg
straps.
Connect chest strap and position
in mid-chest area. Tighten to keep shoulder
straps taut.
After all straps havebeenbuckled,tighten all buckles so that harness fits snug but allows full
range of movement. Pass
excess strap through loop
keepers.

1. Fall arrest attachment Point: D-ring (large or small) or loop between shoulder blades for fall arrest.
2. D-ring extender:18"D-ringorloopextensionattached to the back D-ring of the harness. Makes access to D-ring for lanyard attachment easier allowing user tocheckfor100%snaphookgateclosure.
3. up arrow indicator: Arrows indicating the fall arrest attachment point of the harness. Up arrows indicate the proper orientation of the harness.
4. sub-Pelvic strap: Webbing strap located just belowthebuttocksprovidescomfortinpositioning applications and helps distribute forces intheeventofafall.
5. Chest strap: Webbing which connects the two shoulder straps together to keep user in the harness.
6. shoulder D-rings: Small D-rings at the top of the shoulder used with a spreader bar oryoke(Y)lanyardforretrievalandrescue in confined space situations.
7. Front D-ring:D-ringorloopatthechestlevel. Versatile position can be used for descent, ladder climbing and rescue application.
8. lumbar support:Softandfirmprovidingsupport to lower back in work positioning applications.
9. Body Belt: Integrated body belt. Excellent support for work positioning and for tool storage.
10. side D-rings: D-rings located at the hip or just abovethehip.SideD-ringsareusedforwork positioning or restraint applications.
11. leg Connectors:Availableinpass-through,bayonet orgrommetedversions.Allowstheuserchoiceinleg closure suited to the application or worker preference.

The harnesses are engineered with a lumbar support to make the donning of a harness a breeze. The comfort pad also eliminates the tangling of the straps which are common with traditional harnesses. Subsequently, blood flow is restricted to the brain and other major organs. This is called orthostatic intolerance, also known as suspension trauma, and may initially result in unconsciousness.
