Time to Soar
I am currently writing a book about Eagles in my own personal time and I wanted to share an excerpt from this book
with my Flame Tree Family.
Take time this week to read Isaiah Chapter 40. Within this wonderful passage of Scripture you will become stirred in
your faith to purposefully wait on the LORD to find courageous strength. You’ll read verses describing the sovereignty
of our LORD and the magnificence of HIS power is revealed! You’ll even find a beautiful tender reference about GOD
caring for us like a loving Shepherd - giving us comfort and guidance in every season of our lives. After reading this
Chapter you’ll gain great confidence that you can put all your trust in Almighty GOD and it is HIS very strength that
we rely on. Verses 29-30 are well known passages and so very significant for all of us. “HE gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those
who hope - trust - wait on the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not
grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”. Run to Him dear one! GOD will exchange your weakness for supernatural
strength as you develop your companionship with HIM. HE promises that those of us who choose to rely on HIM will
soar to incredible and unfathomable spiritual heights just like an eagle. But how exactly does an eagle soar?
An eagle rarely flaps it’s wings like other birds. Only at the beginning of flight and take off will she beat her wings. An eagle WAITS & uses the updrafts & thermals, which are warm air currents to gain altitude. Then the eagle stretches
out her huge wing span to glide and soar. Eagles rely on the wind! The HOLY SPIRIT is urging us to no longer depend
on our own strength, efforts or understanding. Instead, we WAIT for our mighty FATHER’S leading. HE will carry you
and you’ll renew your strength because you’ll be relying on the Breath of GOD - ever sensitive to the prompting and
direction of the HOLY SPIRIT for your life. Zechariah 4:6 (AMP) “This [continuous supply of oil] is the word of the
LORD to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a
symbol],’ says the LORD of hosts”. Such Truth we can learn from this passage and from the way the eagle waits for the
wind - the HOLY SPIRIT. Gone are the days where we relied on our own finite efforts.
When you are in the LORD’S thermal currents and awaiting HIS HOLY SPIRIT’S guidance in your life, then you’ll find
you no longer need to strive! Let GOD take control! We don’t need to try and make things happen. Waiting on HIM and
following HIS leading will give you great Freedom!
ARE YOU A FLAPPER OR A SOARER? To answer this question you’ll have to consider what do you do before
making a considerable decision? You are a SOARER if you choose to SURRENDER your own will and wait on the
LORD before making those bigger decisions. You can prevent many a heartache when you are lead by the wind of the

HOLY SPIRIT. Psalm 28:7 says, “The LORD is my strength and my shield, in HIM my heart Trusts and I am Helped!”
Many “life lessons” that we go through help us to become more mature & Christlike. It’s interesting to study the “flight
lessons” adult eagles give their young. A wonderful representation of how our Almighty FATHER who stretched out
the heavens like a curtain comes to faithfully deliver us in our times of great need. Catching us when we may feel like
we are unsteady or falling so to speak. Deuteronomy 32:11-12 illustrates how the parent eagle swoops underneath
their young if they are in danger when learning to fly. “Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions, the LORD alone guided him”. YOU catch us
LORD when we are falling. YOU look on us with such great love in YOUR eyes. We are safe in your loving arms. Psalm
27 instructs us to “WAIT for and confidently expect the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, WAIT
for and confidently expect the LORD”. And as we do this we have nothing to fear as verse 1 in this same Psalm
reminds us - “The Lord is my light and my salvation— Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my
life— Whom shall I dread” Psalm 27:1-2
Eagles don’t fear the storm but rather use it to go to higher altitudes. Just like the eagle waits for the wind currents, we
too shall wait for HIS HOLY SPIRIT’S leading. This can only occur when we surrender our will.
Prince of Peace - KING JESUS is LORD of your heart (Isaiah 7:14) and that means you are a carrier of HIS Peace! You’re a proclaimer of HIS Peace (Isaiah 52:7)
You & I are also recipients of the Covenant of Peace that GOD has given us, written about in Isaiah 54:10 “Though
the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my Covenant of
Peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Before JESUS rose to be with our heavenly FATHER,
HE promised to leave HIS Peace with us (John 14:27).
How’s your vision? GOD wants us to be far-sighted and desires for us to have outstanding vision. What are you
believing for? Do you pray for the generations that are coming after you... for your great, great grand children to know
the LORD and walk in HIS ways? Did you know that eagles can see another eagle that is 50 miles away. Having a
focussed vision will produce great results. Eagles tend to use very little energy when they glide & soar to altitudes of
over 10,000 feet! It’s extraordinary to think just how high they can go. Continue to gain a heavenly perspective on the
circumstances you may be in right now. I’m very excited for the year 2020, in light of having 20/20 clear vision. In John
20:20 right after JESUS had died on the cross, the disciples couldn’t find HIM nor see HIM. Then HE miraculously
appeared to Mary Magdalene and the rest of the disciples when they were gathered together in a home. The disciples
were overjoyed when they saw the LORD! May you have many wonderful visions of the LORD & I pray that HIS living
WORD will be illuminating to you in the years ahead.
Remember to read Isaiah Chapter 40. You’ll gain great confidence that you can put all your trust in Almighty GOD and
it is HIS very strength that you can rely on. Run to your loving Shepherd. Depend on HIM. Stand in awe of how
sovereign and magnificent HE is. Wait for the HOLY SPIRIT’S leading in your decision making. Your strength & vision
will be revitalised as you spend time with the LORD.
I hope these words refresh your heart. My book will be released real soon.
So much love,
Ange Fenton x
