DESCRIPTION
FERP provides consultation with the Navy’s Family Employment Readiness experts at no cost.
Citation preview
Established by law as part of the Military Family Act of 1985, the Family Employment Readiness Program (FERP) provides assistance to military family members in developing, improving or continuing their professional careers while sharing in the military member’s lifestyle.
The Navy recognizes that moving every few years creates career challenges for military spouses. Our program addresses those challenges in workshops and through individualized assistance, in areas such as launching a job search, career planning, resume writing and interview techniques, federal employment information, conducting self assessments, goal setting and much more.
