It was beautiful to see the children of our church showing the love of
God in a big way to the residents. What abundant blessings we were
all given! Thank you Crystal for your incredible gift. You did such an
amazing job working with the kids on their singing. Thank you Toni,
Jamie, Gina, Camille, Cedric, Michelle and Donna for your assistance
with the kids. It was such a special afternoon. Thank you to Suzanne,
Tamara, and Camille for the cupcakes! The residents and kids loved
them. And, thanks to Tonia for coordinating it all!

FAITH
The Bible says in Eph. 2:8-9, by grace you have been saved through faith, that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works that no man should glory.
Grace: unmerited favor
Now let’s look at man’s part, obedient faith. That means faith that leads you to
repent of your sins and to confess that you believe in Jesus as God’s Son. It also
leads you to be buried in baptism for the forgiveness of your sins. It leads you to
live a new life, a Christian life.
What is faith? The Bible says in Heb. 11:1 now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Then he gives us a few examples as in
verse 3, by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so
that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Then in
verse 6, he tells us who needs faith. But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those
who diligently seek Him.
We do not earn salvation it is given, but our part is fundamental. God commands
us to do something; it is like each of us breathes God’s fresh air every moment that
we live. It is God’s free gift but we must breathe it. We do not earn it by breathing
it; it is necessary to life. We must fulfill the requirements of accepting God’s gift.
Read Acts 2:37-41, Acts 8:35-39, Acts 16:30-31 and Rom. 10:1-21.
We are on our way to walking “THE EXTRA MILE”. I started back at the beginning
because we don’t want N C L B. We want to walk the first mile together, amen,
praise the Lord. Ask your neighbor, how you are doing on walking your first mile?
Need any help? We got your back, BRING THEM.
~Hayward
Opportunities to Serve—New Quarter Begins March 3rd
We have many areas involved in the teaching and education of our children that
are important in their early years in the church. These are activities and experi-
ences that help children learn at an early age about the Bible and the life of our
Lord and how Christians should live according to scriptural teachings. These devel-
opmental years may be the most critical in the lives of our children and their
growth into strong young Christians serving in the Church.
The teaching and parental involvement in the teaching and spiritual development
of our young people is a fundamental element of a strong Christian family. Children
who see their parents involved in the teaching and direction of their Bible classes
and their praise time activities make the connection with the role of parents as
models of Christian members working in the Church
family; it creates the image essential to becoming a ser-
vant in the works of the body of Christ.
Please contact Tonia Boyer for Worship Hour openings,
and Gina Betz for quarterly bible class opportunities.

Keith’s Kitchen…
Keith’s Kitchen is an op-
portunity to support our
work in Honduras. Each
Wednesday at 6:15PM
Keith prepares a deli-
cious meal. The teens help with the
dessert, drinks and clean-up. All
proceeds go to the accounts of stu-
dents who help. There is no set fee
but your generous checks should be
made to Tampa Youth Missions.
Dessert this week: Reid, Perdigon,
Bonk.
Serving Our Seniors Ministry…
The Serving Our Seniors Ministry will
be hosting a “Spa Day” at the church
building in F-1 on Saturday, Febru-
ary 23 from 1:00-3:00PM. It will
include massages, facials, mani-
cures, and pedicures. Invitations
have been mailed.
Valentine Fundraiser Dinner…
Thank you to the VERY MANY people
who worked so hard for our Fund-
raiser Dinner for Honduras, and to
the huge crowd who came out in the
rain Wednesday evening to support
this mission work. It took planning,
preparation and work, all of this to
give two more families in Honduras
a home, to protect them from the
very rain you all came out in!
Thanks to your generosity, we ex-
ceeded the goal of $2800.00. All the
glory goes to God! The list is long on
who to thank but I would like to sin-
gle out Stephanie McDonald for
sharing her creative gifts with us.
She coordinated and did a lot of be-
hind the scenes work, and then gave
two full days at the building decorat-
ing so beautifully. I think everyone
enjoyed a delicious meal and the
great atmosphere! ~ Keith
