BETHANY LIFE COMMUNITIES (Bethany Manor, Cedar Place and Timberland Village): Provides appropriate living arrangements and care for the senior population. Our donations go to help support the Chaplaincy Endowment Fund and pays for a special Christmas gift for each employee. www.bethanylife.org

EAST EUROPEAN MISSIONS NETWORK is an evangelical Christian mission that sends short term and career missionaries to many former Soviet Republics. EEMN is headquartered in Minneapolis. www.eemn.org

MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND: Improves the lives of people in need in the United States and around the world by providing food relief. Volunteers package meals for delivery to people in need and work with various partners to provide meal distribution. www.mealsfromthehearland.org

FAMILYLIFE MINISTRIES (a subsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ): Their mission is to effectively develop Godly marriages and families who change the world one home at a time. FamilyLife has six primary ministries working together to call families back to God. Immanuel is sponsoring the Gene & Ginger McCluggage, who are working to train others to do effective ministry. GOOD NEIGHBOR EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE: Provides temporary help to those in need in Story County. Most county churches donate towards its operation. Headquartered in Ames. www.gnea.org

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, INC.: (Pastor Randy Hanson at Iowa State University): ISI exists to share Christ’s love with international students and to equip them for effective service in cooperation with local churches and others. www.isionline.org

LOAVES AND FISHES FOOD PANTRY: Local food pantry providing staple foods, paper items and personal care items to those in need. Run entirely by volunteers from Story City, Gilbert and Roland churches. Cash donations are also accepted to purchase needed items and assist with expenses. It serves many individuals and families each month.

LUTHERAN EVANGELISTIC MOVEMENT (LEM) is a national ministry that seeks to emphasize the work of evangelism within the Lutheran church by equipping churches and individuals to share the Gospel. LUTHERAN SERVICES in IOWA: A social ministry organization of the Lutheran Church. Some areas that it assists with are adoption services, foster care and mental health advocacy. www.lsiowa.org

MISSION OF COMFORT: Immanuel Church has constructed comforting quilts for Lutheran World Relief, Beloit-Lutheran Services in Iowa, and Riverside Quilt Auction for many years. Four times a year women meet for a day of fellowship and quilt tying. Members of the congregation generously contribute fabric, time, money and talents to help prepare these gifts of comfort for people around the world. Ways to support this mission in addition to participation in quilt days: donations of cotton fabrics and sheets, time cutting blocks, sewing blocks together, and money given to purchase batting and fabric.

PERSONAL ENERGY TRANSPORTATION INC. (PET): Manufactures mobility carts for many in third world countries who cannot walk because of leg deformities. Located in Columbia, Missouri. www.giftofmobility.org

WORLD MISSION PRAYER LEAGUE (WMPL) is a Lutheran community committed to the power of Christian community, the essential ministry of prayer, the adventure of pursuing a simplified lifestyle and sharing to all the world the wonderful news about Jesus.
