Chosen Bio-Scientific Scenario

I have chosen the Slime Mold life cycle as my bio-scientific scenario. After looking at my initial ideas, the life cycle of the slime mold is a very interesting one and so that can be displayed in an animation well, in a company with my style. The cycle is very fascinating, and it matches the intended audience well.

Chosen Audience/Market Research

The market audience for the animation is Key Stage 2 children. Theprimary reason is in Key Stage 2 science it is then when children

begin to learn about cells and life cycles. Obviously, it's not the advanced learning of GCSE level, but the animation should/will be easy to understandfor younger children. It will give all the necessary information that is

required but will be demonstrated in a simple manner. The animation useof bright colours will appeal to said audience and will develop theirunderstanding of cells, life cycles and slime molds.

Influence Maps

These are two of the influence maps that I’ve created. The Forest will be very bright and colourful, as it should be a safe environment for the young boy. I was thinking about the idea of the boy being animated in 2D, with the rest of the animation being in 3D. This would be a style that would interest and look fun to the intended audience of young children. The boy, himself, with have a original boy scout design, but will look cute and innocent, as we should feel a connection with him.
