1. Why should I install the new FF2PC software (Farm/Field to PC) on my combine?

• The new Farm/Field To PC software has been developed for CX and CR combines who are equipped with the black and white INFOVIEW monitor.

• Two groups of customers will benefit from this new software.1. The first group owns a combine with Yield sensor and

moisture sensor.

2. The second group has a Yield monitor and moisture sensor and the Data logger or the D-GPS equipment.

• The new FF2PC-software makes navigating and input of data much easier and customer friendly.

• The new FF2PC-software can be configured in a BASIC mode for the first group and in ADVANCED mode for the second group of customers.

• The original Operator Manual stays valid.

What is new in FF2PC?

• Basic mode: for customers who do not use datalogger or D-GPS in general they want to attribute only a Field name and a Crop name, they do not want to be forced to introduce a Farm name.

• Advance mode: for customers who use datalogger or D-GPS equipment they want to upload the full management tree from the PC-desktop and then select in a fast and easy way the Farm/Field/Crop.

• Automatic generation of intelligent names. When a new Farm or Field is created the monitor proposes an IntelliName. An IntelliName is composed out of the Date plus a sequence number: example 07/06/25-GHI. This system is the same for Farm , Field and Load.(We strongly recommend to accept the default name for the load except if you perform a yield or moisture calibration)

• If you do not agree with the IntelliName, click enter, the default name is now highlighted:

• Navigation and Editing is made easy and fast.– If you start writing the IntelliName will be over-written immediately. – If you click Right arrow ► the cursor will move to the end of the field, you

can then delete from the back example 07/06/25-001.– If you click Left arrow ◄ the cursor will move to the beginning of the field.– If you click Up arrow▲: navigate to the field above.– If you click Down arrow▼ navigate to the field below.– Crop names are editable.– Maximum memory in basic version is 13 fields (with in total 14 loads)– Maximum memory in advance version is 50 Farms with max 350 Fields

and with maximum 1200 loads.– Easy calibration for Moisture sensor and Yield sensor.

2. FF2PC-software in BASIC mode.

How to set BASIC mode?

In the “Set-up screen, Set•Flow sensor to “1” (if you have one, if not “0”)

•Moisture sensor type: “1” (if you have one, if not “0”)

•Datalogger type to “0”•DGPS unit type to “0”

How to work in BASIC mode?

Your current Operators Manual remains fully valid. All operations remain unchanged but the screen to select a new field is simplified: Just select the cell: Field and click “Enter”, Now select “New” and an IntelliName will be proposed. If you agree just click the arrow ▼ and select the correct Crop and start combining. You don’t need to select a load (the machine will do that for you when you engage the threshing system, a pop-up will communicate the name of the load)

Conclusion: It takes you only few clicks to create a new Field (It was much more clicks in the past)

If you want to alter the name of the Field: click “Enter” and start typing, the proposed IntelliName will be overwritten and you can start immediately writing your preferred name. You can also use the navigation buttons ◄► to edit a part of the IntelliName.

If you do notCreate a load, the

Machine will do it for you

The only selection to be made: Field name. The machine proposes an

IntelliName

Example: In Basic version: A field called “River”. The crop is “Corn”. A load must NOT be selected, the machine will do that for you.

Select “New” and the machine will propose you an

IntelliName

Basic mode = Data logger type= 0

How to calibrate Moisture and Yield sensor in BASIC mode?

Only to be done if your combine is equipped with Moisture sensor and Yield sensor.

In the Active field mode Select the correct Field or create a new Field. Select the correct crop.

Rename the IntelliName for the “Load”. A good practice is to give it the special name “Date-Cal”.

Start combining and harvest up to 3 full grain tanks (or min 15 ton). When done take a small representative sample for your moisture sensor calibration and send the load to the weigh bridge. While the trailers are being weighted, harvest the remainder of the field under a DIFFERENT load name example “07/07/06-GV2”.

When the results from the weigh bridge is known, go to the screen and select Flow sensor.

In the screen select now the Field and the special load “Date-Cal”.

In the cell fill in the result from the weigh bridge.

Click then on the cell “Calibrate now”, a message “calibration successful “ will appear on the screen.

Remark:

The calibration of the Yield sensor needs to be done only ONCE in a season.

The calibration of the moisture sensor needs to be done for every CROP. A moisture sensor calibration takes only 2 minutes. The procedure for Moisture sensor calibration is completely similar as for the Yield sensor.

The sample that you took can be measured with a hand-moisture tester or it can be mentioned on the weigh bridge report. Fill the result

From the weigh bridge

Click to calibrate

Create a special load: “Cal” and combine 15 Tonne.

The remainder of the fieldMust be harvested under a DIFFERENT load name.

Select the sensor you want to calibrate

How to set ADVANCED mode?

In the “Set-up screen, Set•Flow sensor to “1” (if you have one, if not “0”)

•Moisture sensor type: “1” (if you have one, if not “0”)

•Data logger type to “2”•DGPS unit type to “1” (if you have one, if not “0”)

When your combine is equipped with Yield monitor and Data Logger there are 2 major advantages of working in the advanced mode:

1.You can upload your management tree (Farms and Fields) in advanced into the combine. This makes that you win valuable time in the field because you only have to select the correct Farm and Field from a drop down box.

2.You can also download the combine data: Farm, Fields, Area (Ha), Ha/h, Total Yield (Wet and dry), Yield/h (Wet and dry), Moisture %. These data can than be processed in the PFS software. This PFS software allows you to manage your data, make reports of the fields and the farms, draw statistical results about yields and so on.If your combine is equipped with a D-GPS antenna or an EZ-Guide plus, then you can create field maps but also create variable rate export files.

If you have only a Data logger you can create similar reports

from your fields

2 = Advanced mode,

Data logger is obligatory

“1” = if you have a D-GPS antenna(if not select “0”)

If you have only a Data logger you can create similar charts

from your fields

If you have a Data logger and a D-GPS antenna (or an EZ-GUIDE) then

you can create yield mapsfrom your fields. Also variable rate

fertiliser, spreader and planting maps can be exported.

How to work in ADVANCED mode?

Your current Operators Manual remains fully valid. All operations remain unchanged but the screen to select a new Farms and Field is simplified.

The possibility of uploading your management tree that you created in your Precision Framing desktop software will now result in the fact that the driver of the combine will win a lot of time because he does not need to fill in names, just select them from a drop down list: Farm & Field.

You can upload 50 Farms and 350 Fields.

Remark: If you are on a new Farm or new Field that has not been created in the management tree, you can simply add it by selecting the cell Farm or Field and click “Enter”, Now select “New” and a new IntelliName will be proposed. If you agree just click the arrow ▼ and select the correct Crop and start combining. You don’t need to select a load (the machine will do that for you when you engage the threshing system, a pop-up will communicate the name of the load).

Conclusion: It takes you only few clicks to select a Farm & Field & Crop (It was much more clicks in the past).

If you want to alter the name of the Farm or Field: select the cell, click “Enter” and start typing, the proposed IntelliName will be overwritten and you can start immediately writing your preferred name. You can also use the navigation buttons ◄► to edit the IntelliName.

While combining you can encounter stones or water- or insect-damage etc. in the field: these observations can also be logged.

The list and the order of the list is fully customisable.

If you push the numbers 1, 3, 4 during combining the system will log “Insects”, “Weed”, “Rock”. To stop logging push the above numbers again.

A list of all the farms is Preloaded (from the

PFS software). Just selectthe Farm you are on.

Just like the Farms also all the fields are preloaded,

Just make the correct selection.

How to calibrate Moisture and Yield sensor in ADVANCED mode?

As your combine is equipped with Moisture sensor and Yield sensor it is needed to do some calibrations.

In the Active field mode Select the correct Farm & Field (or create them). Select the correct crop.

Rename the IntelliName for the “Load”. A good practice is to give it the special name “Date-Cal”.

Start combining and harvest up to 3 full grain tanks (or min 15 ton). When done take a small sample for your moisture sensor calibration and send the load to the weigh bridge. While the trailers are being weighted, harvest the remainder of the field under a DIFFERENT load name example “07/07/06-GVF”.

When the results from the weigh bridge are known go to the screen and select Flow sensor.

In the screen select now the Farm & Field & Crop and the special load “Date-Cal”.

In the cell fill in the result from the weigh bridge.

Click then on the cell “Calibrate now”, a message “calibration successful “ will appear on the screen.

Remark:

The calibration of the Yield sensor needs to be done only ONCE in a season. Although in the above procedure you have to select “Crop” the calibration value is valid for ALL crops.

Fill the resultFrom the weigh bridge

4. I loose regularly my EGNOS D-GPS signal.

What is EGNOS?• EGNOS is a joint project of the European Space Agency

(ESA), the European Commission (EC) and Eurocontrol, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation.

• The Ag-business can use the Egnos signal for differential correction.

• The European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service (EGNOS) can change and improve the correction signal as required.

• Therefore also New Holland need to change the software in it’s antenna’s. The new software performs ever better and better.

Do you want to take profit of the new Antenna software for your NH100, NH110 or

NH134?

Please call your dealer or your PLM-support company.
