1. What is the Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Christmas Top up and Win Promotion?
The Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win Promotion gives all prepaid
and postpaid (GSM and 4G) customers a chance to win daily and weekly prizes
throughout the promotional period.
2. Who is the Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win Promotion for?
The Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win Promotion is available to all
Digicel customers. That is, postpaid and prepaid 4G and GSM account holders.
3. What is the promotion Period?
The Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win promotion begins Friday
November 16th
at 12:00:00AM and ends Thursday December 27th
at 11:59:59PM
4. How does this promotion work?
Prepaid customers (GSM/4G broadband) who top up with values of $108 or
more and postpaid customers that make accumulated calls for 10 minutes will
receive one (1) entry for the daily or weekly prizes.
All customers who purchase any handset or 4G Broadband device throughout
the promotional period will receive one (1) entry for the daily or weekly prizes. All 4G Broadband postpaid customers will receive one (1) entry into the weekly
draw for paying their bills in full and on time.
There will be 5,953 daily winners of $108 bonus credit throughout the
promotional period

There will be weekly winners of $1,000,000 each week for 6 weeks. Each weekly
winner will be entitled to an additional Five Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars
(J$500,000) to be shared with anyone (maximum 5) selected by the winner.
Active prepaid and postpaid 4G customers are included in both the daily and
weekly prizes.
Qualified daily winners will be contacted by Customer Care’s automated agent
requiring the customer to choose from the various options with the correct
Digicel tagline (“Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network” or “The Bigger Better
Network”)
Qualified weekly winners will be contacted by a live agent and will be required to
provide Digicel’s tagline (“Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network” or “The BiggerBetter Network”).

6. What is the weekly prize?
Every Friday beginning November 23, 2012 through to Friday December 28,
2012, weekly winners will win One Million Jamaican dollars ($1,000,000) each
week for six (6) weeks. Each weekly winner will be entitled to an additional Five

Hundred Thousand Jamaican dollars (J$500,000) to be shared with anyone
(maximum 5) selected by the winner.
In week 1 to 3 there will be 1 weekly winner per week. Weeks 4 and 5, there will
be 2 winners each week and on week 6 there will be 3 winners.
Customers must repeat the Digicel tagline correctly in order to win the weekly
prize, Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network” or “The Bigger Better Network”
7. What is the daily prize?
There will be 5,953 daily winners of $108 bonus credit throughout the
promotional period
Bonus credit can be used to call Digicel numbers only. Qualified daily winners will be contacted by Customer Care’s automated agent
requiring the customer to choose from the various options with the correct
Digicel tagline (“Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network” or “The Bigger Better
Network”)
The daily winners will be contacted within24 -48 hours within the qualifying
period.
8. How does a prepaid customer qualify for the promotional draws?
Prepaid customers (GSM/4G broadband) who top up with values of $108 or
more and postpaid customers that make accumulated calls for 10 minutes will
receive one (1) entry for the daily or weekly prizes.
Prepaid customers will receive one entry for each voucher added valued at $108
or more.
Prepaid customers will receive an SMS informing that they are eligible for the
promotion.
Variable top up entries should be $108 or greater.
There are no accumulative top up entries. That is, values must be $108 or
greater on each top up. No individual top-up values will be added to gain an
entry.

9. How can I check my bonus credit?
To check the bonus balance customers can dial *120*7# send.
Bonus credit can be used to call Digicel numbers only and expires 7 days after
being received.
10. How are 4G customers included in the Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and
win promotion?
Both prepaid and postpaid 4G customers can qualify for the daily and the weekly
prizes.
Prepaid:a. Prepaid customers will be required to purchase top-up of $108 or greater (in one
day) to qualify for a chance to win one of the prizes.
b. Qualifying customers (prepaid) will receive a SMS informing that they are eligible
for the promotion once the qualifying top-up is completed.
Postpaid:
c. All customers that have paid their 4G bill on time and in full will receive oneentry in the weekly draw.
d. This list will be run at end of day each Thursday for them to be included in the
weekly draw & will include all postpaid customers who are fully paid up.
N.B. 4G customers who do not have a MSISDN assigned to a service number
will not be eligible for any of the draws. (Both daily and weekly draws).
[The application is set up to take only MSISDNs and not service numbers]
11. Is a postpaid customer able to qualify with bonus credit?
No. Calls made from bonus credit do not apply to the promotion.

N.B.: Bonus credit includes airtime loyalty redemption bonus credit, online top
up bonus credit, overseas diaspora double bubble bonus credit, double bubble
bonus credit, Digicel Christmas Promotion 20122 bonus credit or any other form
of free bonus credit which does not form a part of the customers main account
balance.
12. Will a customer who makes a single top up valued at $1,000 receive 10 entries into
the draw?
Yes. The customer will earn 1 entry for every $100 increment not including a
$100 denomination
13. Will prepaid customers who top up with two (2) $100 vouchers be eligible for the
promotion?
No. Prepaid customers who top-up with two (2) $100 vouchers on the same day
will not receive an entry.
In addition, top-ups done using Variable Vouchers that adds up to $108 within a
day will not receive an entry.
14. Will top-ups done using Credit U be eligible to enter the promotion?
• No. Credit U transfers are not eligible for this promotion
15. Do I have to top up to be able to enter?
• No. All customers will receive an entry once they purchase any handsets or 4G
devices throughout the promotional period.
16. What are the methods of top ups that can be used as a prepaid customer to qualify
for the Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win promotion ?

17. How does a postpaid customer qualify for the promotional draws?
Postpaid customers will receive one entry into the draw for every ten (10)
minutes of talk time accumulated.

18. What calls will not qualify a postpaid customer for the promotion?

19. Are juveniles under 18 years old allowed to enter and win? Yes. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over 18 years
when claiming their prize.
20. Can customers enter the promotional draw more than once in a day?
Yes. Prepaid customer will receive an entry each day as often as they top-up with
a voucher valued at $108 or more.
Postpaid customers will receive an entry for each ten (10) minutes of talk time
accumulated daily.

21. How will the customers know that they have been entered into the daily and weekly
draw?
Prepaid customers will receive a text message each time they receive an entry
into the draw.
Postpaid customers may contact Digicel Customer Care to find out how many
entries they have in the applicable Daily Prize draw and applicable Weekly Prize
draw.
22. How long do customers who have won cash prizes have to collect them?
Customers have up to two (2) weeks after being notified that they have won to
collect their prizes.
23. How will the winners be notified?
Customers that are qualified for weekly prizes will be contacted by a live agent
and will be required to provide Digicel’s tagline (“Jamaica’s Bigger Better
Network” or “The Bigger Better Network”).
Customers that are qualified for daily prizes will be contacted by Customer
Care’s automated agent requiring the customer to choose from the various
options with the correct Digicel tagline in order to win any of the various prizes
(“Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network”)
24. Will a potential winner still get the prize if he/she missed the call from the Digicel
representative?
No. In order to win the customer is required to speak with the Digicel
representative or successfully complete the automated call.
If the call is unanswered then the attempt has failed. Failed attempts include
calls where the phone rings without an answer, calls that go to voicemail, calls
where the phone is busy or if the phone is turned off.

Two (2) attempts will be made to contact each customer that is chosen.
If that attempt fails, then another potential winner is selected.
25. I am a winner and do not want my picture or name to be published to the public; can
I still claim my winnings?
No. Digicel reserves the right to use the names and images of winners in the
media. If a winner refuses, they forfeit the rights to claim the prizes.
26. What is the Digicel tagline?
For the purpose of this promotion, either of the following two responses will be
deemed correct:
“Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network”
OR
“The Bigger Better Network”
27. If I was contacted and won where do I collect the prize?
• Winners will be required to collect their prize at the Digicel Head of office.
28. What do I need in order to claim the prize?
Winners are required to take with them the following items
A government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license or national
voter’s card)
The phone with the SIM card for the winning number that was used
to enter.

1. The Digicel Christmas Share a Smile Top up and Win promotion is available to Digicel
Flex (Pre-paid) Customers, Digicel Select (Postpaid) Customers, Prepaid and Postpaid
4G Broadband Customers (‘Customers’).

2. The Promotion is “Authorized under Section 58(3) of the Betting, Gaming and
Lotteries Act”.
3. The Promotion will run from November 16th
2012 (12:00 a.m.) until December 27th
2012 (11:59:59 p.m.) (“The Promotion Period”)
4. The Daily Prizes will be awarded as follows: The first Five Thousand Nine HundredFifty Three (5,953) customers contacted each day; to respond correctly to a standard
multiple choice question will each win $108 credit.
5. During the Promotion Period each weekly winner shall win one million dollars
(J$1,000,000) in addition to Five Hundred Thousand dollars (J$500,000) to be
disbursed by Digicel to individual(s) of the winner’s choice . The five hundred
thousand (J$500,000) can be shared among a maximum of five (5) persons based on
the winners request.

8. Customers selected in the daily draws must correctly respond to a standard multiple
choice question, when contacted in order to be a winner.
9. Customers selected in the weekly draws and the Samsung P5100 Tablet draw must
correctly state the Digicel tag line when contacted in order to be a winner (i.e. “The
Bigger, Better Network” or “Jamaica’s Bigger Better Network”). 10. If the customer does not want to participate in the promotion (for example, for
religious reasons) or if contact cannot be made with the customer after three (3)
consecutive attempts (going to voice mail, busy, unavailable or otherwise rings
without an answer), or if the customer incorrectly responds to the multiple choice
question or incorrectly states the tagline, another customer will be contacted.
11. All single purchase Top Ups of $108 or more through the following Digicel Top-Up
methods: Flexcards, Flex-e, DirectFlex, BankFlex, WebFlex, TeleFlex, StreetFlex, Phone
2 Phone, Direct Top Up, Digicel Top Up and Digicel Online Top Up will qualify for an
entry into this promotion. Diaspora Top Ups will also qualify for this promotion.
12. Postpaid 4G Broadband customers who have paid their bill in full and on time will
receive an entry into the weekly draw.
13. Customers who purchase and activate a 4G Broadband Modem will receive one (1)
entry into the Samsung P5100 Tablet draw
14. Only 4G Broadband customers who purchased and activated their device during the
promotional period will qualify for entry into the Samsung P5100 Tablet draw
15. Prepaid customers will receive an entry for a single credit purchase to the value of
$180; $100 top ups will not qualify, so accumulated purchases of two (2) one
hundred dollar Top Ups within 24 hours will not qualify for entry.
16. Customers who purchase a prepaid or postpaid handset or 4G device from an
authorized Dealer store will receive one (1) entry into the weekly draw. Customers
will be required to have an active GSM account and to provide a Digicel mobile
number to receive SMS notifications.
17. Credit U is not a recharge method and will not qualify for this promotion.
18. Postpaid GSM customers will receive one (1) entry for every ten (10) minutes of
accumulated talk time within 24 hours.19. Calls by Postpaid customers to their VIP partner(s) or destinations included in their
‘International Call plans’ are eligible for accumulated talk time.
20. Digicel to Digicel calls, Digicel to fixed line, Digicel to other mobile providers and
Digicel to International numbers qualify for accumulated talk-time for postpaid
subscribers.

21. Calls to voicemail, customer care or zero rated short codes do not qualify for
accumulated talk-time for subscribers.
22. All qualifying customers will be entered for the weekly prize for the week that they
have made the required top up/talk time/bill payment/purchase as set out in the
periods outlined in the table below.23. All prepaid 4G and GSM customers and customers purchasing handsets or 4G devices
who qualify for entry into this promotion will receive an SMS informing them that
they are eligible for the promotion.
24. Qualifying postpaid customers will not receive an SMS notification; they may call our
Customer Care department to verify qualifying entries. Qualifying postpaid 4G
customers will receive an email notification informing them about their entry into the
promotion.
25. Each day beginning November 16th
to December 27th
2012, 5,953 daily qualifying
entries will be randomly drawn and all selected customers will be contacted by an
automated system and prompted to respond to a standard multiple choice question,
to qualify as a winner of $108 credit.
26. Free $108 credit will be applied to winner’s accounts within forty eight (48) hours of
the winner being notified.
27. During the Promotion Period, a weekly draw will be conducted each week beginning
Friday November 23rd
2012 until Friday December 27th
2012.

29. Winners must elect the person(s) to receive a share of/the $500,000 prize money and
indicate where necessary how such prize money should be should be distributed,
within forty eight (48) hours of being notified that he/she has qualified as a winner.
The winner will be contacted by Digicel for this information.
30. Winners have fourteen (14) days after notification within which to collect their prizes.
31. Weekly prizes are to be collected from Digicel, RKA Building, 10-16 Grenada Way,
Kingston 5.

32. Winners of the prizes (including persons nominated by winners to receive prize
money) must bring in valid photographic government ID (either a passport, driver’s
license or National ID) and they must also bring the Digicel SIM card on which they
received the winning notification call.
33. In the event that a disabled customer is selected, that customer will be allowed tohave a representative collect the prize on their behalf, providing that there is written
consent, which must be endorsed by a Justice of the Peace. A valid photographic
government ID of both the winner and the representative will be required to claim
the prize.
34. Minors are eligible for this Promotion but must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian when coming to redeem their prize.
35. Digicel employees, dealer principals or employees of any of our affiliated companies,
advertising, promotion and public relations agencies, dealers, distributors, or anyone
else connected with this promotion and their immediate family members and
household members are not eligible for entry. For these purposes immediate family
members are spouses, parents, siblings and children.
36. Winners will be required to participate in any planned publicity in connection with
this Promotion. By entering the Promotion, the prize winner consents to the use of
their name, likeness, image, photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity
promotion or advertising purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media and
formats used by us or our agencies, without further compensation, throughout the
entire world in perpetuity. If a winner refuses to do so, they forfeit their right to claim
the prize.
37. Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC, reserves the right to at
any time vary the terms of the Competition, to amend its Terms and Conditions, or to
withdraw the Competition. In any of these events, notice will be given via media
advertisements or messages to subscribers and will be effective immediately or as of
the date referred to in such notifications.
Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC, reserves the right to terminate,
cancel, suspend and/or modify the Competition if any fraud, virus or other technical problemcorrupts the administration, security, safety or proper play of the Competition. In such event,
Digicel hereby specifically reserve the right (but not the obligation) to award some other prize
hereunder (as determined by Digicel, with consultation and prior approval from the BGLC) by
means of a random drawing from among the eligible entries received up until the time of the
impairment.
