FAQs - Accommodation & Luggage Grand Bend Motorplex offers camping for a small fee on the Friday evening prior to the bike tour. To book a space call 519-238-7223. If camping is not for you, Grand Bend has a plethora of accommodation options that can be looked into on Grand Bend Tourism’s website: http://www.grandbendtourism.com/stay/ Two large cube trucks are provided for your luggage to be transported from start to finish each day. When checking in you will receive two wrist bands with a number on each one that are colour-coded based on which residence you are staying in at the university. One band is for you, the other is for your luggage. You will find out when you check in. When checking in you will receive two colour-coded wrist bands with a number on each one. One band is for you, the other is for your luggage. Each residence is assigned a colour. If you are not staying overnight at the University, there is a designated colour too. For those not staying at the university, there is a designated room that is used for bike stor- age at the university. For those who are staying at the university in a residence, we recom- mend that you keep your bike in your assigned room. Grand Bend Motorplex offers camping for a small fee on the Friday evening prior to the

bike tour. To book a space call 519-238-7223. If camping is not for you, Grand Bend has a

plethora of accommodation options that can be looked into on Grand Bend Tourism’s

Are there checkpoints along the route

that I can refill my water bottle at?

Yes, approximately every 15km to 20km there

will be a checkpoint that has healthy snacks,

water refill stations, portable toilets, and bike

shop support. Please make sure to bring a

reusable water bottle with you to help reduce

waste.

If I am staying overnight at the university,

where can I get dinner on Saturday and

breakfast on Sunday?

Yes! Once you cross the finish line there are a number of things you can do:

Check-in to your room

Have a shower

Have a nap

Head over to the Beer Tent – you deserve it!

Socialize with fellow participants

Visit the scrambler prize room – for every $100 you raise you receive one ballot to enter in to

win a prize.

If you are a team captain or raise over $1000, head over to the VIP reception.

Have dinner at the cafeteria in your residence.

Attend the evening ceremonies at Thomson Arena on Western University campus.

When you check-in at your residence, you will

receive your room key and two vouchers for

food. One for dinner Saturday, and one for

breakfast Sunday. These can be redeemed at

the cafeteria in the residence building in which

you are staying.

How much do I have to fundraise in order

to participate in the ride?

$300 is the minimum fundraising requirement

for all PwC MS Bike events in the province. Sev-

eral individuals set their goals to raise $1000 so

that they are eligible to receive the MS Bike jer-

sey incentive prize.

Are there other prizes that can be

redeemed when I raise more funds?

Yes, to view the full prize structure visit the event

webpage, and refer to the cyclist handbook.

Some fundraising milestones include:

$1000 = MS branded Sugoi bike jersey

$2000 = MS branded Sugoi bike shorts

$5000 = Invitation to Celebration

of Champions

$12 500 = Invitation to ride in the Tour of

Champions

How do I ensure that my donors

receive a tax receipt?

Online donations will have a tax receipt

generated at the time of donation and

sent to the email provided. For all other

donations, the participant must ensure

that a pledge sheet with the donor’s full

name and full mailing address is filled out

and submitted to the MS Society.
