There is actually adifference between a demo account and a live account. The difference comes inthis way. In a demo account no checking is done when you place an order tosell or to buy, the order is carried out instantly. However, in a live account,such an order is delayed slightly because there has to be a check of availabilityof funds to execute the order. Sometimes the order may not be executed.

Therefore, dont buy a robot just because it is performing well on a back testor based on past records or good demo trading results. It must have good liveperformance as well.

Furthermore, what is the comment of those who have used the robot? Are they

favorable? Just as you will like to buy a car or laptop usually based onrecommendations of others, the same applies to forex robots.

Also, when you use large lot sizes compared to your account balance, you willnot only have the potential to win bigbut lose big as well.

Yes-poor money management can wipe out your account.

This can also happen when a robot goes after relatively small gains incomparison to the risk. Think about risking 200 pips to gain 20 pips. The robot

will have many wining percentage as a result of that. However, on the otherhand, it takes just two losses in a row to wipe 20 winning trade. How sad.

Chapter 5-Two Examples of Traders ThatRegularly Make Profits Using Robots

EXAMPLE 1: EJIKE

This is a Zenith Bank Full Time Worker and the interview took 45 minutes. Hehas been a long time employee of the bank

I asked him how he got into forex trading. He revealed to me that his brotherwho is not a banker actually trained him.

He confided in me that for over 6 months he traded forex without a coach andwas losing money. But that with much perseverance and with much reading, he

was able to acquire a trading method that actually worked.

He mentioned that as we were discussing, he had his robot trading for him andmaking money. I then asked him how much does the robot actually make? Hethen said that for an investment of $1,000 the robot actually makes $500 ormore profit monthly.

According to him, the robot doesn't make much profit. This is so because therobot doesn't trade emotionally. But trades strictly on programmed instructions.Therefore, it takes some profit and sometimes a little loss. Nevertheless, doesnot take too much risk as a human does. That is why the profit is consistentmonthly.

Then, I asked him how the robot is able to trade and assuredly make profit

monthly?

Ejike's answer is that he programmed the robot. He further mentioned that ittakes an experienced forex trader who makes profit to actually program therobot so that it will avoid losses.

Further, the robot is hosted on a virtual desktop so that it keeps running nomatter whether ones laptop is switched on or off.

He went on to say that, a robot is usually best for safe traders. And thatsomeone must test the robot in a live account and adjustments made until therobot trades safely. Sometimes a particular robot will better trade a particularpair of currencies compared to another. And so will be hosted to trade thatparticular pair and no other. Therefore, it is important to perform tests on itsefficiency before sitting back to receive the cash flow.

I was a bit more inquisitive. Hence, I asked him what actual robots he uses.

He mentioned Pipstronics and Fapturbo.

He makes about $1,000 weekly including his efforts and the yield proceedingfrom the robot trades.

I then asked him, what would be required for a novice to start making money ina short time from forex trading?

He pointed to the fact that in his own case he had neither a mentor nor a coach,which made him to grope in the dark for long and learn mostly through trialand error when he started trading live.

He advised that one should get an experienced trader to train him on livetrading and coach him until he develops his own strategies. In that manner the

newbie will be able to make profit the very first month he starts trading.

He then cited the case of a lady he trained recently and coached. She has beenconsistently making a profit of $800+ monthly.

He was smiling when he mentioned the most interesting part of it to me..."every month after collecting the proceeds , she makes it a point of duty tocome and thank me for introducing her into such a profitable business".

I then asked him if it required trading all through the night to make such aprofit.

He answered no. That normally he sets his alarm clock to the time he wants towake up after work. He would look at the charts, study the trend and in a shorttime completes trading and makes about a $100 or more and go back to bed.

He mentioned that the highest amount he had made in a trade was $1,000. Hefelt so elated that night. According to him making profit in forex requires

discipline. There is a time to let go and leave with a little loss and later enter themarket again, follow the trend and make big profit.

One should not follow his emotions too much. One other factor is that he doesnot trade on Fridays and programmed his robot too not trade on Fridays. This isbecause the market is very turbulent.

As to his plans for the futurehe is renting a big apartment and will makewithdrawals from his forex account to fund the payment for the office

apartment as well as purchase other things required to set up the office andregister a limited liability company.

He is also teaming up with a chap who is fantastic in understanding the"behavior" of the currencies and understands forex trading very well. As toexpertise, Ejike claimed that on programming robots he is better than hispartner. He wants to train those that are interested in forex trading so as to beproficient in making profit.

EXAMPLE 2: SOJI ISHOLA( S-O-J)

The second example of a forex trader that actually made profit consistentlyusing robots is Soji Ishola (popularly known as S-O-J). I interviewed him and

he recounted that when he started to learn about how to trade forex he used aforex robot to trade and made profits.

He makes a profit of between USD1,500-USD2,000 on a capital of USD3,500.

Currency Pair Traded: USDJPY and GBPUSD. Used the robot for both.

Period: March-December 2008.

He developed trading skills by demo trading for six months. All this while therobot was trading and making money for him.

The demo account was opened with USD50,000. But after trading for a while,he felt that the amount was unrealistic, as he can never raise such a capital forlive trading.

Chapter 6-Money Management the Secret Behindthe Big Successes Of Robots and ProfessionalTraders.

Money management simply refers to how much of your capital or the value of your forex account is actually traded per trade you enter or position youopen.

For example if your capital is USD1,000 ( that is you funded your account with$1,000), you may decide to open a position with just 2% of the capital. Somemay even go for as much as 20 percent or 30 percent of their capital.

Let us examine these ranges further

CASE OF 2%-10% OF ACCOUNT VALUE

Let us assume you enter each trade with just 2-10% of the account value. Tosome this may be too low but it is not.

You have to remember that when people trade forex, they use leverage whichallows you to trade with a bigger amount than the actual percentage of youraccount you are using.

A leverage of 100 allows you to trade with USD2,000 (just USD20 of yours isinvested times 100). So this will multiply your profit. But then leverage is atwo-edge sword. It can as well go against you in the same ratio if there is a loss.Quickly wiping out the part of the capital you are trading with or more if thereis no good stop loss order.

Therefore, if you trade with just 2%, it takes 50 bad trades in a row to wipe out

your account.

WHAT ABOUT 20% OF THE CAPITAL

If you used 20% of your capital, it takes just 5 bad trades in a row to wipe outyour account. That is a very risky thing to do.

Most experienced and successful forex traders trade within 2-5%of theircapital. In that case if you encounter losses in a row, your account can stillsurvive it.

Well-designed forex robots apply the above principle on good moneymanagement.

Infact, provision is made for you to set the percentage of the capital for eachtrade.

This is where to avoid greed. Your account must exist in order to make profit.
