  • INTER COLLEGE MANAGEMENT EVENTSRULES AND REGULATIONS

    Rules & Event Description:

    “Put not your trust in money, but put your money in trust”

    is the game all about. The key to making money in stocks

    is not to get scared out of them. Its just as matching your

    wits against the Big Bulls with Big money. Show to

    everyone it’s all about the Brains!!! BECAUSE we know

    market does not BEAT them,,, they beat

    themselves…because though they have brains they cannot

    SIT TIGHT!!!

    Framework of the Game

    ?The game will consist of two rounds

    ?Number of teams MAX 14(first cum first basis)

    ?Number of members in each team 4

    ROUND I: Trading Session

    In the first round, two sessions of virtual market will be

    created where each team will be offered securities and a

    virtual limit of Rs. 10 Lakhs. The teams have to trade in

    this market with fluctuations in prices taking place on a

    regular basis.

    ROUND II: Extempore Session

    The teams will be presented with different scenarios on

    the spot and will be required to share their views on the

    same.

    The winner and the 1st runner-up will be awarded on the

    basis of the decision taken by a panel of judges.

    1. NIVESH (In Search of the Smartest Investor)

    Rules & Event Description:

    Puzzles are jumbled up. Some of these jumbled up pieces

    are handed to each group. Groups will be given some chips

    or money and are asked to form the puzzle within an hour.

    Full puzzle will get 100 bonus points. So judge your

    entrepreneurial skills with this puzzle game. The Rules of

    the puzzle are:

    ?Time Duration of the event is 1 Hour 15 Minutes

    2. JIGSAW MANIA(An Entrepreneurial Puzzle)

    ?No. of Participants in a team = 3 (Min.) and 4 (Max.)

    per team

    ?There are 3 rounds. After every round the teams will be

    eliminated as per the scores

    ?All materials required for the games are provided to you

    ?Only 8 teams can participate in the event on first come

    first serve basis

    Rules & Event Description:

    Friedrich Nietzsche once said– “Those who cannot

    understand how to put their thoughts on ice should not

    enter into the heat of debate”. But if you know how to do

    this, then come and prove you words and views. The rules

    of the competition are:

    ?There has to be a team of two, one speaking “for the

    motion”, while the other “ on the motion”.

    ?The team would be judged on the basis on content and

    presentation( body language, communication and

    time).

    ?Each participant would be given 5 minutes to speak:

    • 3 minutes would be given to the contestant to put

    forward their view over the topic.

    • Remaining 2 minutes will be for the interjection from

    the other participants (against the motion) or from

    audience.

    ?A bell will be rung after the expiration of one and six

    minute. Further for the indication of the last minute.

    ?Speaker must observe parliamentary language i.e. not

    to use offensive language.

    ?Use of props is not allowed.

    ?Topic will be given on the spot.

    ?Decision of the judges will be considered as final.

    3.War of Words (WOW) (Debate Competition)

    Rules & Event Description:

    Business quiz, a part of our two day fest UDAAN. The

    participants can share their knowledge and ideas through

    our brainstorming rounds. Each B-school can send only

    Rules & Event Description:

    God said, “Let there be LIGHT.” Then everything started

    sprouting out of nothing. Ever since by the invention of the

    wheel, which changed the way the human kind lived,

    inventions and the innovations have never ceased. More

    recently, these have been in the form of the T.V., VCR, 3M

    little yellow note pads, walkman, microwave oven, small

    car, fast foods, internet, cellular phone, etc. All of these

    have not only filled-in our needs and gaps but have also

    gone on to become an integral part of our living style. But

    in today’s world there are many other issues like moral

    issues that take place in society as well as in the business

    world like Traffic management, Teen smoking, and

    discussions of emotions in society with mental handicaps

    and so on. Participants are supposed to pick one such

    social issue from the society. Drawing upon your vision,

    creativity and ingenuity, suggest such an innovative

    /service and build a business outline for the same;

    highlighting the benefits, the target users, production

    possibilities and commercial requirements and of course

    the management way to tackle them. The rules of the

    event are:

    ?Idea should be original and not the copy right of any

    other

    ?Idea should be related to societal cause

    ?The idea should generate profits in the practical

    situation and should not be totally hypothetical

    ?Each team will be allotted 10 minutes for presentation

    & 5 minutes for Q & A

    ?Team will be reminded 2 minutes before the end of

    given time by ringing a bell

    ?Basic requirements will be supplied by the organizing

    institute (Notepad, Pen, Copy of Rules, Projector)

    ASSESSMENT of the teams would involve

    ?In case of any assistance required please inform to event coordinator/main coordinator, ½ an hour before

    the schedule of the event

    ?Participant(s) are requested to register their name(s) & Idea for participation with event coordinator

    Rules & Event Description:

    “It is an “Ad-Mad Show” where the participants can share

    their creativity and ideas through our exciting rounds.

    Candidates are required to present advertisements along

    with their group members in the scheduled time period.

    Rules should be strictly followed as stated below;

    ?Each college will be represented by only 1 team

    ?Each team will consist of 3-5 members only

    ?Event Duration is 1 to 1:15 hr

    ?Topic will be given on the spot

    ?Preparation time for the advertisement is 3 min

    ?Presentation of advertisement will be of 2-3 min

    ASSESSMENT of the team would be done on

    the following criteria:

    ?Creativity

    ?Clarity Of Thoughts

    ?Communication

    ?Co-ordination

    6.OGILVY TRIBE (The Ad Parade)

    one team comprising two members only. The process of

    selection of the five contending teams would be done on

    the basis of screening wherein candidates are required to

    show their proficiency in general awareness and corporate

    affairs.This would be followed by successive rounds

    covering areas like familiarity with current business world,

    in-depth and core knowledge of subjects (specialization

    based).

    The top two winning teams would be awarded with

    certificates and Trophies. Come; let’s be a part of this

    enriching experience in search for our genX CEO’S

    because it’s our time now to be in the Leaders shoes.

    Rules & Event Description:

    A face is not less than a canvass; paint it with your

    imagination. The following will prevail;

    7.CAMOUFLAGE (Face Painting)

  • ? Colors should be user friendly

    ? Each team have to bring their own colors, pencils,

    brushes(or any other stationary items)

    ?Each team must have two participants, one for painting

    and one for face

    ? Only face painting colors should be used

    ? Three rounds will be available.

    ? From each round according to the number of

    participation lowest scoring teams are eliminated

    ? First round is of 20 minutes, Second round is of

    30 minutes and 3rd round is of 40 minutes

    ?Themes Are Provided In Each Round.

    Furthermore ASSESSMENT will be based on

    following criteria:

    a. Face and neck area must be utilized

    b. Explanation must be given after painting in front of

    judges

    c. According to theme painting should be made

    d. Creativity must be taken into consideration

    e. Clarity in terms of using colors and differentiation in

    several colors

    Rules & Event Description:

    A The nature of the game is Strike but strike on the

    different note… in the cyber-world and win the race. The

    rules of the game event are:

    ?Registration form is required to be filled by each

    candidate which will be free of cost.

    ?Maximum no. of entries…4 (i.e. about 40 entries of total

    from other colleges) from each college depending on

    the no. of colleges.

    ?In-college entries…4 from each section of first year and

    12 entries from the senior batch. i.e. about 38 entries.

    ?Racing slot will be designed by the coordinators on spot

    . Name of the members racing will be displayed on the

    notice board timely and if someone misses the time slot

    he will be disqualified.

    ?Participants may carry their own headphones if they

    require sound effects.

    ?Both girls and boys are invited and are required to bring

    their college IDs.

    ?Last date for the final entries for application is 19th

    November which shall be final

    8. CATACLYSM(Cyber Games)

    Rules & Event Description:

    This event vouches for your blogging talent. Let the people

    know your thoughts in a very few but articulated words. To

    put it simple, you should adopt the idea – Less is More.

    The simple rules of the event are:

    ?No. of participants – Maximum 2.

    ?The event is about building a micro blogging webpage

    using any micro-blogger website like (Facebook,

    Google+, Twitter, Blogger, Wordpress etc.). The

    participants need to make a personalized webpage

    using any of the above mentioned blogger on the

    theme provided at the time of event.

    ?Duration – 90 min. (subject to change as per

    requirement)

    9. MICROBLINK(Micro Blogging Competition on Social Networking Sites)

    Rules & Event Description:

    “Tasveerien bolti hain…” Really? Prove this by exhibiting

    your talent in photography. The rules of the events are;

    ?Only 1 participant from each college is allowed to

    participate

    ?Maximum no. of teams that can participate is 5; hence

    selection will be based on “first come first serve” basis.

    ?Participants will have to click snaps within the campus

    premises.

    ?Theme for the competition will be given on spot.

    ?Final decision will be declared last day of the fest i.e.

    7th December 2013.

    ?Decision of the jury will be considered as final and

    applicable on all.

    10. SHUTTERBUG(Photography Competition)

    ?All the participants are required to be on time to submit their film or else their registration will be cancelled

    ?The length of the film can vary from 10 to 15 minutes.

    ?The film can be in English OR Hindi with an appropriate title

    ?The initial credits should clearly mention each member’s role in the making of the film

    ?There would be additional marks if the makers ACT in the film as well. No vulgar, obscene and explicit scenes

    will be entertained

    ?Inclusion of the above in the film would lead to Disqualification

    ?Best film based on content, idea, creativity and quality will be declared the winner

    ?The movie will be screened to a panel of judges and select audience. Teams have to bring their own pen

    drives with their films saved in it

    ?Each team is expected to give a brief introduction on how he film was made and the inspiration behind

    making the movie

    ?This would be followed by a question- answer session by the judges which will be duly marked

    ?Judges decision will be final. Clarification regarding the judgment will not be entertained.

    Rules & Event Description:

    If you are clever enough to decode the codes and finds it

    interesting, then this one is meant just for you. Under

    “Treasure Hunt”, the contestants would be required to

    find out a particular book out of huge collection in college

    library, based on certain clues provided to them on spot.

    The book, being searched for, could be a part of the

    exhibition or lined up in any of the library shelf. Rules of

    the event are:

    ?Time- 60 minutes.

    ?Area- college library.

    ?Team Strength- 2 members in each team

    ?Team work- members are supposed to stay together

    during entire game. Splitting would lead to elimination.

    ?Penalty- any damage to the library property would result

    to the payback value of the damaged property.

    ?Unfair means- unfair means such as: external help,

    tampering of other team’s clues, interrupting other

    teams, etc. would also result to the elimination.

    ?Violating library rules would result to elimination.

    12. TREASURE HUNT(Khojo to Jaane)

    Rules & Event Description:

    Turn the Scraps into item worth wondering and aspiring.

    Creative craft and art from scrap is what you would

    compete for in this event. The rules are:

    ?All scrap items would be provided by college

    ?Maximum no. of members in a team should be 2

    ?Maximum no. of teams should be 5

    ?Decision of judges would be consider as final decision

    ?The team to finish the game earliest or within the time

    limit will win the game.

    ?Rules and the process of the entire game would be

    explained at the beginning of the game.

    13. SCRAPIVITY(Creativity from Scarps)

    Rules & Event Description:

    “Good Morning listeners main hoon aapka host and

    dost...”, You can have that blank space filled with your

    name in it. Do you have the ability to grab attention when

    you speak, right attitude, presence of mind, sense of

    humour, creativity, and ample knowledge of the subjects

    you speak about?? Here comes the opportunity to unveil

    your talent and discovering RJ in yourself. This event would

    put your abilities to influence the people with your voice.

    The ASSESSMENT of your RJ acumen will be done by a

    professional ideally from FM world and that might involve

    your Voice Clarity, Pitch, Articulation, Creativity etc.

    14. RADIO MANIA(Radio Jockey Competition)

    Rules & Event Description:

    ?The registration for the said event has to be done in advance via Email, clearly mentioning the number and

    names of the participants

    ?Each team can have 2-5 participants

    ?The team has to submit a short-film based on a relevant theme on the day of the Event

    11. PAN GALACTIC(Light Camera Action – Short Film-making Competition)

    Rules & Event Description:

    ?Only 1 team from each college is allowed to participate.

    ?Each team could consist of min. 5 to max. 8 members.

    ?The theme for the Nukkad Natak should reveal a social issue, and should clearly illustrate the message as well.

    ?Time for each performance is 10 mins.

    ?Maximum participating teams can be 5, hence the selection of the teams will be done on first come first

    serve basis.

    ?Teams are free to use props in their act of performance.

    ?No offensive language/ words against the/any specific person, Indian Constitution, religion or caste is allowed

    during the performance, doing such results in direct

    elimination.

    15. AROHAN(Nukkad Natak)

  • INTER COLLEGE CULTURAL EVENTS

    Rules & Event Description:

    Let your imagination spread-over the floor. Create it, color

    it and make the marbles speak.

    Come-on friends lets decorate the floor. The following

    rules will follow:

    ?No. of participants in 1 team should be 4

    ?Carry your material along with you

    ?Late entrance not allowed

    ?Time limit specified: 40 min

    ?Duration of program: 40.min

    ?Total participants size in a group: 4

    16. KOLAM(Rangoli Competition)

    ?Every item will be given a product code

    ?The visitors/guests will be asked to cast their vote for

    the exhibited product which they find best in creativity

    and presentation.

    ?Contestant getting highest number of votes for any of

    their product will be declared winner by the judges.

    ?Judges decision will be considered as final decision

    Rules & Event Description:

    Fun on the run, you will be required to use limited

    resources on the spot and come-out with a piece of work

    which would be called a perfect COLLAGE of your sheer

    creativity and imagination.

    The following rule will be followed in the competition:

    ?All concern participants need to follow the following

    guidelines

    ?Team should be of two members.

    ?Each team will be provided chart paper and newspaper.

    They have to prepare a collage on the topic given on the

    spot.

    ?Timing will be 15 – 20 minutes.

    ?They can bring sketch pen and colors, if they need for

    extra decorations.

    Rules & Event Description:

    Exhibit and Win what you have crafted out of your sheer

    ability and talent. The following rules will prevail:

    ?This event is exclusive For Jaipuria Institute of

    Management’s students only

    ?Only handmade products can be exhibited

    17. PHOTOMONTAGE(Collage-making Competition)

    18. SMOOKY ART AND CRAFT(Shilp-Kalaa)

    Rules & Event Description:

    Get entangled with the notes of music and let your soul

    live again in the world of lyrics and emotions, come and

    be a part of it and sing for self and to win. The rules of the

    same would be;

    ?The singing competition is open for all the colleges of

    DELHI NCR region

    ?Contestants must be amateur singers or entertainers

    ?Must have good vocal quality

    ?Participant expected: 8

    ?A contestant can only perform as solo singer no duet or

    performance allowed.

    ?Contestants MAY NOT utilize live props. This will include

    back-up singers, or dancers. Non human props such

    as costumes and other accessories are permitted.

    ?Contestants must supply their own background tracks

    on a single CD (if they wish to do so).

    ?Background music must be free of background singers,

    only musical band instruments are acceptable

    The time limit for each contestant is 5 minutes. More than

    one song may be sung within the defined time limit. No

    changing of CD’s will be allowed. If more than one song,

    they must be on the same CD and be somewhat

    continuous. Songs going over 5 minutes will be shut off

    Judges will be instructed to not deduct points due to a

    song being shut off.

    11 No changes in song choice may be made once the

    contestant has delivered the background CD to the sound

    person. CD’s must be given to the sound person 15-20

    minutes prior to their audition. If not you could forfeit your

    turn and possibly be disqualified. For the sake of the other

    contestants and keeping the flow of the contest in order,

    please be prompt.

    19. SYMPHONY(Singing Competition)

    Songs containing vulgar lyrics will not be allowed

    and will lead to straight elimination.

    A 50-point system will be administered on Contestants in

    the following manner;

    ?Vocal Ability (Rhythm/Pitch/Phrasing): 30 Points

    ?Stage Presence (Movement/Confidence/Command): 10

    Points

    ?Appearance (Costume/Attire): 10 Points

    The event would be having three rounds:

    Round I – “Direct Dil Se…” the contestants are free to sing

    song of their choice, best chance to showcase your talent

    and voice quality.

    Round II would be a theme round, wherein the contestants

    will be required to sing on a specific theme given to them.

    Round III – “Agni Parikscha” would be the last round, and

    the contestants will be required to as per the wish and will

    of the judges.

    Note: Round I & II are the elimination rounds.

    Rules & Event Description:

    Razzmatazz is a Group Dance competition which

    captures your acumen of make others shake with your

    dancing steps. The rules of the event are:

    ?This competition is only open for GROUP participation

    ?Only one team can participate from one college.

    ?Each group can have 06 to 12 members.

    ?The duration of the dance should be between 10-15

    minutes.

    ?The dancers can choose any one particular dance form

    or combinations of 2 to maximum 5 different dance

    forms.

    ?No vulgar, obscene and explicit dresses, movements or

    songs will be entertained. Inclusion of any of the above

    in the act would lead to Disqualification

    ?All participants need to provide their own music CDs

    and shall carry their own Costumes, Hair-style and

    Makeup…

    ?Props are optional and teams are free to choose their

    own props

    ?The dance MUST clearly include appropriate costumes

    ?Innovative ways of presenting any relevant messages

    are also encouraged and would lead to extra marks

    20. RAZZMATAZZ(Group Dance Competition)

    Rules & Event Description:

    The ultimate Band-show competition. Rock the audience

    with your enthralling beats!!! The rules of the show are:

    ?Each team should present their show using a team size of

    5-6 members

    ?Each band will be provided a maximum time slot of 10 min

    ?Judges will use their own criteria to evaluate your live

    performance.

    21. BLITZKRIEG(Band Show)

    Rules & Event Description:

    Also a talent show which involves refreshing ramp-walks,

    reflecting the changing phases and current trends in

    fashion. An Special Show by Jaipuria Noida Students - a

    treat to watch for one and all.

    22. MYSTIQUE(Fashion Show)

    Rules & Event Description:

    This session attracts your mind to let you loose your body

    and mind together, enjoy the open dance floor with one

    and all.

    23. JAM SESSION(Open Dance Floor)

  • THINGS TO REMEMBER?Entries can be sent either by e-mail or by post at the Institute’s address.

    ?Only one entry per event from each College/Institute is entertained.

    ?There is no entry fee for the event participation. College/Institute authorization is must.

    ?Participants cannot participate in more than three events since some events will be on simultaneously.

    ?No same team will participate in more than two events.

    ?Participants should bring along their institute’s ID card at the time of registration. The teams will have

    to arrange on their own items required for their event of participation.

    ?The outstation teams should be under the aegis of a faculty guide. Boarding and lodging will be

    provided for the outstation teams participating in the event only.

    ?The team will refrain from smoking and misbehavior at the fest venue.

    ?Punctuality and discipline are of primary concern.

    ?The rules of the events and contests will be disclosed before the event.

    ?Decisions of judges will be final.
