M-2 MainsailOriginal North mainsail featuring new split-weight construction

The M-2 is the tried and true original design that has been fast and winning regattas since the J/70 class made its debut in 2012. The M-2 is made from durable North Radian™ cloth and is a proven performer. The powerful designed shape flattens out nicely and reacts well to aggressive use of the backstay when the breeze is up. We have introduced split-weight construction on the M-2 using a lighter, more forgiving North Radian cloth in the luff and slightly heavier North Radian in the leech for added durability and low stretch.

SDM-1 MainsailExcels in light-medium conditions

The SDM-1 mainsail was designed to perform on a mast with less prebend so it has less luff curve and sets up well on a straighter mast with less shroud tension. This allows the forestay to sag more to create a powerful setup in the light to moderate conditions. This sail also has the ability to de-power nicely in the big breeze. Since the shape on the SDM-1 main is placed higher it provides your team with more power when the traveler is up and the sail is twisted. This gives the sail plan an extremely forgiving setup in light lump.

The SDM-1 main, like the M-2, also features a split weight construction. The luff of the sail is made with a lighter, more forgiving North Radian sail cloth which allows the sail to set up well in a wide range of backstay settings.

XCS-1 Mainsail 2016 Worlds!

The XCS-1 main is a crosscut sail that sets up well across the wind range. The traditional crosscut panel layout allows the rig to be set quite loose in light air, to maximize headstay sag, power and pointing ability. It also easily accommodates the increase in rig tension and backstay that are needed in the J/70 to depower in big breeze. The crosscut construction allows the sail to better match your mast bend when the backstay is on hard. This balanced design has proven to be very forgiving with the ability to maintain maximum speed longer creating a wide “groove”.

J-2 All-Purpose Jib2015 & 2014 Worlds!

The J-2 features the designed shape that has been a proven performer, with a new construction detail using a minimum weight North Radian cloth in the luff. This not only produces a lighter sail, it also creates a sail with increased sensitivity and a more forgiving groove for steering. The leech is still made out of a slightly heavier North Radian cloth for increased durability and low stretch. The J-2 Jib also features a new tack flap to cover the headstay turnbuckle and new side loading batten pockets to make rigging and de-rigging the jib a breeze.

J-2H Jib2016 Worlds!

Released in the Summer of 2016, in preparation for the Worlds in San Francisco, the J-2H features the same proven shape of the winning J-2 jib featuring a slightly firm finished cloth. Perfect for the moderate to heavy conditions.

SDJ-1 JibOptimized for light-lumpy conditions

After years of testing to find a jib that performs as well as the J-2, we have developed the slightly fuller SDJ-1 Jib to perform in light and lumpy conditions when it is difficult to use a lot of weather sheet. This sail sets up with a powerful shape with less weather sheet but can carry up the wind range very well. The SDJ-1 Jib can still be trimmed with substantial weather sheet if so desired with the lead slightly aft. This sail also features split weight construction.

J-6 All-Purpose Jib High Clew. New for 2017!

The new J-6 jib is designed based on the successful J-2 shape that has won the 2014, 2015 and 2016 World Championships. A key component to the J-6 is a shortened leech which creates a higher clew position to allow more aggressive windward sheeting over the cabin house. The sail also features a slightly deeper entry and a straighter exit down low allowing a more forgiving steering groove and maximize performance with tighter sheeting angles. The J-6 is an all-purpose sail that excels in maximum in-hauling conditions.

AP-1 Spinnaker2016, 2015, 2014 Worlds!

The AP-1 is another proven performer and continues to outperform all other J/70 downwind sails. The AP-1 can sail hot angles as well as deep angles and the sail has plenty of power to get planning quickly and then stay on a plane in puffy conditions. The luff is full which makes it trimmer and driver friendly which translates to “FAST”!
