1 Introduction

Fatima Marian Apparition (FMA) is one of thebest documented anomalous phenomena and hasstrong resemblances with UFO and ET experi-ences. Personally I learned about this phenomenonfrom Joaquim Fernandes, who together with Finad’Armada has written three books on the subject[2]. There is also a book by Vallee [4] about FMAphenomenon. The very common “buzzing” soundsheard by several witnesses at Fatima spot near theoak contact only when the Lady, according to Lu-cia, was speaking with her. Michael Persinger andhis team in Laurentian University [24] have testedin laboratory the hypothesis that UFO experiencesmight involve geomagnetic influence and this servesas a hint also now.Three children, Lucia, Fransisco, and Jacinta met

a brilliantly effulgent lady whom they identified asthe Virgin Mary. This occurred six times at 13thof each month. The so called Sun miracle was wit-nessed by people in a large area measured about20-30 miles (it is estimated that about 70.000 peo-ple congregated in the vicinity of Cova de Ira towitness the predicted miracle!).The witnesses reported a light tunnel and little

image of Mary at its center. Also reported wereheat waves with sudden drying of clothes, healings, fall of white filaments (“angel hair”), and a strangeauditory sensation defined by some witnesses as a“buzzing of bees within a vase”. This sound washeard only when the seer Lucia told that “the Ladywas talking to her without moving the lips”. Alsoglowing globe-shaped vehicle appeared suggesting asimilarity with UFO experiences. In this article I summarize briefly the speculative

picture provided by Topological Geometrodynamics(TGD) and TGD inspired theory of consciousnessabout bio-systems. I try to understand FMA asan example of an exotic phenomenon of collective

consciousness having no obvious explanation in thestandard neuroscience framework. The first version of this article was written

about 16 years ago. During this period TGD hasevolved dramatically as new ideas and principleshave emerged. Mention only the hierarchy of Planckconstants [29, 40] serving as a correlate for darkmatter explaining macroscopic coherence of livingsystems, zero energy ontology (ZEO) [55] central forthe recent formulation of TGD and TGD inspiredtheory of consciousness, so called adelic physics [76]as fusion of real physics for matter and p-adicsphysics for cognition and imagination [41, 77], andtwistor lift of TGD [42, 43, 44]. The vision aboutFMA as a manifestation of collective consciousnessand the idea about the role of microwave hearinghave not been given up but the recent model em-phasizes the general ideas.

1.1 Basic Ideas and Notions of TGD

The notion of many-sheeted space-time [39] (seehttp://tinyurl.com/mf99gpv) allows to under-stand how bio-systems manage to be macroscopicquantum systems. Topological field quantizationimplies that also classical fields have particle likeaspects: these particle like aspects are crucial forthe models of sensory qualia [47], sensory represen-tations [62, 53] and long term memory [64] as wellas for the general model of control and coordinationin living matter [57, 58]. One can say that any phys-ical system has besides the ordinary physical bodyalso a field body, in particular magnetic body (MB)[66]. An entire hierarchy of field bodies is predicted. For an illustration of MB assignable to dipole fieldsee http://tinyurl.com/n3sghcs).A crucial element is hierarchy of Planck constants

heff/h = n defining a hierarchy of dark mattersas macroscopic quantum phases [29, 40]. In liv-ing systems dark matter residing at magnetic fluxtubes (see http://tinyurl.com/lrvtwe5) of mag-netic body (MB) would receive sensory input frombiological body (BB) and control it by using darkphotons with energies above thermal energy. MBwould therefore serve as intentional agent. Wewould however identify with our biological bodiessince sensory input comes from and our control ac-tions act on it.The effective value of Planck constant heff =

n × h correspond to the number sheets of singularcovering defined by space-time surface giving rise

to n discrete degrees of freedom and single-fermionstates labelled by integer 0 ≤ m ≤ n and many-fermion states formed from these (all particles con-sist of fundamental fermions in TGD).

A further generalization of the space-time con-cept involves the introduction of p-adic topologies[31, 33] labelled by primes besides the real topol-ogy. p-Adic topology is difficult to illustrate: for in-stance, prime power pn at the limit of infinite n goesto zero p-adic topology but infinity in real topology, and p-adic numbers differing by large power of p areclose to each other. Real space-time sheet and its p-adic counterparts define pages of a book like struc-ture, adele (see http://tinyurl.com/lxkpj9y).Each extension of rationals induces extension of var-ious p-adic number fields and only finite extensionsare accepted for them. These extensions define a hi-erarchy of adeles identified as an evolutionary hier-archy with evolutionary level identified as the com-plexity of the extension [76] [41].

p-Adic space-time sheets are identified as corre-lates of cognition. They satisfy the same field equa-tions as the real space-time sheets but are not fullydeterministic and therefore serve as correlates forimagination and correspond to the “mind stuff” ofDescartes. The common points of real and p-adicspace-time sheet have coordinates in some extensionof rational number can be said to define cognitiverepresentation as the intersection of reality and var-ious p-adicities.

1.2 Basic Ideas and Notions of TGDInspired Theory of Conscious-ness

TGD inspired theory of consciousness [54] can beseen as a generalization of quantum measurementtheory forced by what I call zero energy ontology(ZEO). Self can be identified as a generalized Zenoeffect [77]. Some aspects of selfness remain unaf-fected during the sequence of state function reduc-tion whereas some aspects representing among otherthings sensory input change and give also rise to theexperienced flow of time.

Selves form a hierarchy with sub-selves experi-enced as mental images. Selves can fuse togetherby quantum entangling. The new view about sub-systems implies that sub-selves can entangle evenif selves do not: this gives rise to sharing of men-tal images realized for instance in the fusion of

right and left visual mental images [54] (see http:

//tinyurl.com/lm6hzcv).

1.3 Sensory Representations

The notion of many-sheeted space-time (see http:

//tinyurl.com/mf99gpv) and hierarchy of Planckconstants allow to understand how bio-systemsmanage to be macroscopic quantum systems. Topo-logical field quantization [28, 45] implies that alsoclassical fields have particle like aspects. These par-ticle like aspects are crucial for the models of sen-sory qualia, sensory representations and long termmemory as well as for the general model of controland coordination in living matter. One can fairlysay that any living system has besides the ordinaryphysical body also a hierarchy of field bodies. The realization of the sensory representations at

the field body outside the brain represents the mostradical departure from the views of standard neuro-science and leads to a vision about both “personal”sensory representations and magnetospheric sensoryrepresentations presumably responsible for the col-lective aspects of consciousness emerges. For thenotion of sensory representations see [62, 53]. ForTGD based model of remote mental interactions see[61, 67].

1.4 Summary of TGD Based Modelfor FMA

The TGD based model for FMA relies on the fol-lowing ideas.

1. The notion of self hierarchy allows to identifythe entity “Marian” as a collective higher levelself, a genuine conscious field entity receiv-ing information from human brains by TGDcounter parts of dark EEG photons, realizedperhaps in magnetosphere or at dark variant ofthe Earth’s magnetic field. The visions and alsosome experiences of witnesses of FMA couldinvolve in an essential manner quantum entan-glement with “Marian” allowing sharing andfusion of mental images. In TGD quantum en-tanglement is the basic mechanism of remotemental interactions and remote healing: the oc-currence of healings during FMAs were indeedreported.

2. The interpretation of the buzzing sounds heardby the witnesses in terms of microwave au-

2 TGD BRIEFLY

dition [11] (proposed by Joaquim Fernandez[2]) led to a model of FMA and also to amore detailed model of remote mental inter-actions and of bio-control. The topologicalquanta of electromagnetic radiation (“mass-less extremals” or briefly MEs, see http://

tinyurl.com/kczvzaz) and dark photons withnon-standard value heff/h = n of Planck con-stant associated with them serve as a basic el-ements of the model.

3. Massless extremals (MEs) carrying dark pho-tons with extremely low frequencies (ELF) (saythose assignable with EEG frequencies) makepossible communications between distant sys-tems using dark photon radiation propagatingalong them. Dark ELF photons having energy(E = hefff) in bio-photon range and ELFMEs would be associated with magnetic fluxtube structures of Earth’s magnetic field andof the magnetic fields associated with humanbrain. Dark ELF photons induced by cyclotrontransitions of dark, possibly superconducting, ions at the magnetic flux tubes. ELF MEscan be generated resonantly by several mech-anisms. For instance, TGD counterparts ofAlfven waves and cavity resonances, in partic-ular Schumann resonances accompanying tec-tonic activity, generate them [53].

Both ELF and microwave dark photons wouldhave value of Planck constants heff/h = nguaranteeing that their energy E = hefff isabove thermal energy, in particular in the re-gion of visible and UV frequencies assignableto bio-photons. Conformational transitions ofproteins and DNA molecules and rotationaltransitions of water molecules and clusters cor-respond to energies in microwave range anddark photons should be also able to decay or-dinary microwave photons.

4. Plasmoid structures, primitive lifeforms involv-ing plasma of charged particles and MB carry-ing dark ions and utilizing microwave photonsas their “food”, could serve as kind of relaystations. Plasmoids could entangle perceiverwith the entity “Marian”, and generate radi-ation at visible, infrared, and microwave fre-quencies and in this manner induce effects likeheating and drying. Also some UFOs couldbe identified as plasmoid like structures entan-

gling the observer with life-forms, which couldbe even extraterrestrial and thus induce tele-pathic encounters of ETs.

5. Dark ELF and microwave photons propagatealong correspond MEs plus associated fluxtubes. They could induce self-organization atthe end of the receiver by inducing heff increas-ing phase transition requiring energy and serveeffectively as “food” by providing metabolic en-ergy.

There are several candidates for the source ofmicrowaves. Microwave static, known to have abiological origin and to strongly correlate withtaos hum phenomenon [16], involves sometimesalso buzzing sounds. Tectonic activity can in-duce microwaves (quartz crystals generate mi-crowaves).

To help the reader I have included a vocabularyat the end of the article and include here a list ofthe abbreviations used in the text.Topological Geometrodynamics (TGD); General

Relativity Theory (GRT); Zero energy ontology(ZEO); Strong form of holography (SH); Negen-tropy Maximization Principle (NMP); Negentropicentanglement (NE); Causal diamond (CD); Mass-less extremal (ME); Magnetic body (MB); Biologi-cal body (BB); Exclusion zone (EZ).

2 TGD Briefly

The reader can probably skip this section in the firstreading if she/he feels it too technical and start di-rectly from the section devoted to the general the-ory of consciousness, which I have tried to formulatewith minimal reference to TGD based physics.

2.1 Space-times as 4-D Surfaces in 8-D Imbedding Space

Topological Geometro-Dynamics (TGD) can be re-garded as a unified theory of fundamental inter-actions. In GRT the curvature of space-time (seehttp://tinyurl.com/kxrjlw8) spoils the symme-tries of Special Relativity TGD was originally anattempt to construct a Poincare invariant theory ofgravitation [39].

1. Space-time, rather than being an abstractmanifold endowed with metric is regarded

4

Page 5: Fatima Marian Apparition And TGD Inspired Theory Of ...ªncias_06-12.pdf · CONSCIÊNCIAS ‘06 | 133 1.3 Sensory Representations 1 INTRODUCTION to n discrete degrees of freedom and

2.2 The Notion of Many-sheeted Space-time 2 TGD BRIEFLY

as a 4-surface in the 8-dimensional spaceH = M4 × CP2 (see http://tinyurl.com/

kn6hn42), where M4 is Minkowski space andCP2 = SU(3)/U(2) is the complex projectivespace of 4 real dimensions [27] obtained also byidentifying the points of complex 3-dimensionalspace C3 differing by a complex scaling (seehttp://tinyurl.com/mh9pbay).

The size of CP2, which is about 212 Plancklengths from p-adic mass calculations is be-sides Planck length a fundamental length scalein TGD Universe (it has turned out thethe twistor lift of TGD leads to emergenceof Planck length as a second fundamentallength scale [44]). For details about CP2 seethe appendix of [27] at http://tinyurl.com/ml28c3r.

2. The identification of the space-times as sub-manifolds of (4-D surfaces) in H = M4 × CP2

leads to Poincare invariance (translations, rota-tions, Lorentz transformations) and solves theconceptual difficulties related to the definitionof the energy-momentum in General Relativ-ity Theory (GRT). Even more, sub-manifoldgeometry, being considerably richer in struc-ture than the abstract manifold geometry be-hind GRT, leads to a geometrization of theknown fundamental interactions and of elemen-tary particle quantum numbers. In particular, classical electroweak gauge fields are obtainedby inducing the spinor curvature of CP2 to thespace-time surface.

3. One can say, that the mere hypothesis thatspace-times are representable as 4-surfaces inH = M4 × CP2 realizes Einstein’s dream ina very elegant and economical manner: veryconcisely, sub-manifold geometry brings in thenotion of shape besides the notions of distance, angle, and curvature. Furthermore, twistor liftexists only for this choice of H so that imbed-ding space can be argued to be unique bothphysically and mathematically.

2.2 The Notion of Many-sheetedSpace-time

TGD approach forces a generalization ofthe conventional space-time concept tomany-sheeted space-time [39] (see http:

//tinyurl.com/mf99gpv). The topologicallytrivial 3-space of General Relativity (GRT) isreplaced with a many-sheeted space-time contain-ing matter as particle like 3-surfaces “glued” tothe topologically trivial background space-timesheet by connected sum (wormhole) contacts (seehttp://tinyurl.com/mbk9hvh) having CP2 sizeconnecting the space-time sheets. They havenothing to do with the wormholes in GRT sense.

Many-sheeted space-time means roughly thatvarious structures that we see in various lengthscales correspond to space-time sheets with outerboundary glued by extremely tiny elementaryparticle-sized wormhole contacts to larger space-time sheets representing larger structures contain-ing them. The sheets are extremely near to eachother (CP2 size scale). Besides atomic space-timesheets which our measurements are usually about, there is an entire hierarchy of larger space-timesheets with their own physics. Space-time sheetscan be connected to each other by bonds identifi-able as magnetic flux tubes (see http://tinyurl.

com/lrvtwe5).

TGD should produce GRT and standard modelas approximation in long length scales, when thespace-time sheets look geometrically like small de-formations of empty Minkowski space locally. GRTspace-time should correspond to a slightly curvedM4 such that gauge potentials and gravitationalfields are sums of the induced gauge potentials andgravitational fields at space-time sheets [35]. Alleffects due to many-sheetedness disappear at thislimit and appear as anomalies of GRT and standardmodel.

Space-time sheets form a hierarchical structure.Macroscopic material bodies are identified as 3-surfaces. Physical objects have outer boundary:what is its counterpart at the level of space-timesurfaces?

1. The original hypothesis was that sheets havea genuine boundary identifiable as the outersurface of the macroscopic body.

2. A more plausible view is that sheets are actu-ally closed - at least 2-sheeted - structures offinite size with the boundary of M4 projectionidentifiable as the boundary of physical object.Sphere (space-time surface) above plane (M4)and its projection to plane (M4) serve as anillustration.

3 TGD INSPIRED THEORY OF CONSCIOUSNESS IN NUTSHELL

3. Also the surface at which the signature of theinduced metric changes from Minkowskian toEuclidian is a candidate for the counterpart ofouter boundary of a physical object.

For instance, my physical body would be a space-time sheet with my skin representing its effectiveboundary whereas external world wold be repre-sented by a larger space-time sheet at which thespace-time sheet representing my body is “topo-logically condensed”. This generalization implies aradical reformulation of condensed matter physics.Space-time sheets are connected to each other bywormhole contacts. Various new physics effects re-lated to the many-sheeted space-time concept arediscussed in the books about TGD: see for instance, the books [38, 37, 32].

2.3 Topological Field Quantization

Topological field quantization distinguishes betweenTGD and Maxwell’s electrodynamics. What hap-pens is that em field and classical fields in generaldecompose into field topological quanta representedby space-time sheets. Each physical objects cre-ates classical fields and - unlike in Maxwell’s theorywhere the fields superpose - one can tell the phys-ical system to which a topological field quantumdefining a classical and quantum coherence regionbelongs to. Every physical system has field body, field identity. For instance, radiation field decomposes into

massless extremals (MEs) [56], which are cylindricalstructures carrying em fields propagating with lightvelocity (see http://tinyurl.com/kczvzaz). MEsare ideal for classical communications: classical sig-nal propagates with light velocity inside a cylindri-cal tube and without weakening making high preci-sion targeted communication possible, and the non-determinism of the associated vacuum current prop-agating also with light velocity allows a coding ofarbitrary signal.Magnetic flux tubes and their electric counter-

parts represent also general solution families to fieldequations [66]. This leads to the notion of magneticbody (MB).

1. The hierarchy of Planck constants and iden-tification of dark matter as phases with non-standard value of Planck constant implies thatdark matter both receives sensory information

from BB and controls it. The value of Planckconstant heff = n × h - integer multiple ofits standard value - scales up quantum lengthsand times since typically they are proportionalto heff as also energy E = hefff associatedwith a photon with given frequency. This al-lows to understand the quantal effects of ELFem fields to vertebrate brain [22].

2. heff = n×h means that quantum length scalessuch as Compton length are scaled up by fac-tor n. This makes possible macroscopic quan-tum coherence and non-locality. Magnetic fluxtubes are identified as carriers of dark matterwith non-standard value of Planck constant.

3 TGD Inspired Theory ofConsciousness in Nutshell

The recent form of TGD inspired theory of con-sciousness [77] relies on zero energy ontology (ZEO).Quantum entanglement binding selves to largerselves is in central role. In the adelic physics [76] theentanglement is number theoretically universal - en-tanglement coefficients are always in some extensionof rationals characterizing the evolutionary level ofthe system - allowing interpretation as both real andp-adic entanglement for various primes p. The defi-nitions for real and p-adic entanglement negentropyare different and - unlike real entanglement - p-adicentanglement is negentropic. The interpretation isas cognitive information.Negentropic entanglement gives rise to poten-

tially conscious information resources, “Akashicrecords”. ZEO allows to solve the conceptual prob-lems of the previous approach. The emergence ofadelic physics [76] fusing the physics of matter andcognition simplifies the theory radically since negen-tropy maximization principle (NMP) [55] in statis-tical form is a consequence rather than postulate ofthe theory.

3.1 Zero Energy Entology (ZEO)

In standard ontology of quantum physics physicalstates are assumed to have positive energy. In zeroenergy ontology (ZEO) [36] physical states decom-pose to pairs of positive and negative energy statessuch that the net values of the conserved quantumnumbers vanish. The interpretation of these states

6

Page 7: Fatima Marian Apparition And TGD Inspired Theory Of ...ªncias_06-12.pdf · CONSCIÊNCIAS ‘06 | 133 1.3 Sensory Representations 1 INTRODUCTION to n discrete degrees of freedom and

CONSCIÊNCIAS ‘06 | 137

in ordinary ontology would be as time evolutions be-tween initial and final states, physical events. Quan-tal events - state function reductions - are quantumjumps between classical events.

By quantum classical correspondence zero energystates must have space-time and imbedding spacecorrelates.

1. Positive and negative energy parts of zero en-ergy state reside at future and past light-likeboundaries of causal diamond (CD) identifiedas intersection of future and past directed light-cones (2-D projection is diamond, see http://tinyurl.com/mh9pbay). The analog of CD incosmology is big bang followed by big crunch.Penrose diagrams provide an excellent 2-D vi-sualization of the notion. CDs form a fractalhierarchy containing CDs within CDs. DisjointCDs are possible and CDs could also intersect.

2. The interpretation of CD in TGD inspired the-ory of consciousness is as an imbedding spacecorrelate for the 4-dimensional(!) perceptivefield of conscious entity: the contents of con-scious experience is about the region definedby CD. At the level of space-time sheets theexperience come from space-time sheets in theinterior of CD. Whether the sheets can be as-sumed to continue outside CD is still unclear. An attractive possibility is that they do so andCDs are analogous to a covering of manifoldby open sets defining charts of an atlas: CDswould be kind of conscious chart leafs.

3. Quantum measurement theory must be modi-fied in ZEO since state function reduction canhappen at both boundaries of CD and the re-duced states at opposite boundaries are relatedby time reversal. One can also have quantumsuperposition of CDs changing between reduc-tions at active boundary followed by localiza-tion in the moduli space of CDs with the thepassive boundary fixed. Quantum measure-ment theory generalizes to a theory of con-sciousness with conscious entity - self - identi-fied as a sequence of state function reductionsat active (changing) boundary of CD [46].

3.2 ZEO Based Quantum Measure-ment Theory as a Theory of Con-sciousness

Let us first briefly recall what ZEO based theory ofconsciousness says.

1. In ZEO self corresponds to a general-ized Zeno effect (see http://tinyurl.com/

qbs7cbz) that is a sequence of state functionreductions leaving the passive boundary of CDunaffected as also the members of state pairsassociated with 3-surfaces at it. At activeboundary the members of state pairs changeand the active boundary drifts reduction by re-duction farther away from the passive bound-ary. The temporal distance between the tipsof CD, clock time, increases gradually and cor-responds to the experience about the flow oftime.

This gives the correlation between clock timeand subjective time identified as sequence ofstate function reductions at same boundary ofCD. These two times are not identified unlikein standard physics, and this saves from thebasic paradox of standard quantum theory.

2. Eventually the first reduction to the passiveboundary of CD takes place [55] and forces selfto die. Passive boundary becomes now the ac-tive boundary: a new time reversed self is born. For this self the arrow of geometric time is op-posite since now the formerly passive bound-ary is active and shifts in opposite directionof imbedding space time: in this manner CDsteadily increases in size and in principle canevolve to a new sub-cosmology.

3. Also the time-reversed self will eventually dieand make the first reduction to the opposite -the original passive boundary of CD: the selfwith the original arrow of time can be said tore-incarnate: this is like falling asleep and wak-ing up in the morning. The position of theactive boundary for re-incarnated self will beshifted to the geometric future from its posi-tion at the moment of death. One can makeonly guesses for the time lapse from death tore-incarnation. This time lapse is expected tobe rather short as compared to the size of CDitself.

7

Remarkably, ZEO does not only reduce con-sciousness theory to quantum measurement theorybut would also explain what happens in birth anddeath and predict re-incarnation. The repeateddeath and re-incarnation of mental images (sub-selves) could be seen as support for this vision. What the time ghostly time reversed selves couldbe is a fascinating question: phase conjugate laserbeam is one example of a system for which timeruns backwards and could be seen as primitive timereversed self. Fantappie postulated long time agothat time reversal is a basic aspect of living sys-tems [25]. Fantappie called entropy for the reversedarrow of time syntropy.Quantum entanglement is the central quantum

notion and Schrodinger cat able to be living anddead simultaneously is the classical manner to “il-lustrate” the notion (see http://tinyurl.com/

lpjcjm9). The earlier vision about self as a sys-tem able to remain unentangled corresponds nowto the passive boundary of CD at which nothingchanges during the lifetime of self: subsystems thereare maximally unentangled. These sub-systems cor-respond to unchanging aspects of selfness whereasthe active boundary gives rise to sensory perceptsand experienced flow of subjective time. The earliervision about integration of quantum jumps to selfcorresponds to the identification of self as a gener-alized Zeno effect. So called negentropy maximization principle

(NMP) [55] stating that quantum jumps must in-crease entanglement negentropy was earlier postu-lated as a basic variational principle of conscious-ness but in adelic physics NMP in statistical senseis a prediction [77]. The dimension of the extensionof rationals defining the adele can only increase instatistical sense and this implies generation of ne-gentropic resources in statistical sense.TGD Universe thus allows also temporary reduc-

tion of negentropy but in the long run it increases- we do not live in the best possible Universe. Theincrease of negentropy realized as negentropic en-tanglement (NE) is a correlate for evolution. NMPin this sense states that the negentropy associatedwith NE increases as Universe learns more aboutitself. One can also say that NE defines kind ofAkashic records. One might say that fundamentalethical principle is that increase of negentropy pro-moting evolution.Self hierarchy is a fundamental prediction. Selves

can have sub-selves which it experiences as mental

images and self itself is mental image of higher levelself. This hierarchy continues to the level of en-tire Universe. The entanglement of sub-selves ofsame or of two separate selves means fusion of men-tal images to a more complex shared mental image(see http://tinyurl.com/lm6hzcv). The sharingof mental images crucial, not only for remote mentalinteractions, but also for genuine communications. For the notions of self, self hierarchy, and sharingand fusion of mental images by quantum entangle-ment see [54] [77].

3.3 p-Adic Physics as Physics ofCognition and Imagination

p-Adic number fields are labelled by primes p =2, 3, 5, ... and, just like real numbers, they can be re-garded as completions of rational numbers q = m/n,m,n integers to contain the p-adic counterpartsof algebraic and transcendental numbers [31, 33].Most p-adic number are infinite as real numbers. p-Adic numbers emerged to TGD first only as an effec-tive mathematical tool but it has turned out that p-adic physics is a fundamental element of TGD. TGDspacetime decomposes into regions obeying real andp-adic topologies analogous to pages of a book (seehttp://tinyurl.com/lxkpj9y).p-Adic space-time regions obey the same field

equations as the real regions but are characterizedby p-adic non-determinism since the functions hav-ing vanishing p-adic derivative appearing as analogsof integration constants of differential equations areonly piecewise constant. Therefore one cannot fixthe solutions of dynamical equations by giving theinitial values of dynamical variables for fixed valueof time (for instance, initial positions and veloci-ties are integration constants for Newton’s equa-tions and fix the solution). Pseudo constant de-pends on a finite number of positive pinary digitsof its arguments. p-Adic space-time regions are ob-tained by glueing together regions for which integra-tion constants are genuine constants.p-Adic space-time sheets are only piecewise realistic - like cubisticpaintings.

The interpretation of the p-adic regions is as cor-relates of cognition and intention [63]. The inter-sections of real and p-adic space-time sheets consistof points with coordinates having values in the ex-tension of rationals inducing in turn extensions ofp-adic number fields. This discrete intersection be-tween reality and various p-adicities defines cogni-

tive representation.Freedom of imagination would be due to the

p-adic non-determinism. p-Adic regions performmimicry and make possible for the Universe to formcognitive representations about itself. Real/p-adicspacetime sheets are interpreted as geometric cor-relates of sensory/imagined experiences. The original idea that realization of intention as

action corresponds to quantum jump replacing p-adic space-time sheet (intention) with real space-time sheet (action) turned out to be wrong. Rather,so called strong form of holography (SH) impliesthat 2-dimensional data given at string world sheetsplus fixing the cognitive representation as points ofspace-time surface with coordinates in the exten-sion of rationals defining the adele, allow to con-tinue these 2-surfaces to 4-D surfaces. This is adirect analogy for the continuation of 2-D data toanalytic function of complex variables. p-Adic non-determinism allows always this continuation but inthe real case this is not always possible. One cansay that only some imaginations can be realized.

3.4 Adelic Physics as Fusion of Realand Various p-Adic Physics

Adelic physics has emerged during last few yearsas a fusion of real and various p-adic physics. Thebasic notion is fusion of real number and variousp-adic number fields to a book like structure withone page of the book identified as real numbers andthe remaining pages as extensions of p-adic num-bers fields induced by a given extension of rationals, which therefore characterizes a given book. Onehas infinite hierarchy of these books - adeles - withincreasing complexity and with increasing negen-tropy resources. The interpretation is in terms ofan evolutionary hierarchy: evolution would reduceto number theory [76, 77].The extension of rationals is obtained by adding

algebraic numbers (roots of irreducible polynomi-als) to get a finite-dimensional extensions of ratio-nals. Also roots of Neper number e can be addedsince ep is ordinary p-adic number so that exten-sion of p-adics is finite: this conforms with the ideathat cognition is finite. Cognitive representationscorrespond to the imbedding space points with co-ordinates in the extension of rationals and the com-plexity of extension increases with the dimension ofextension.Galois group (see http://tinyurl.com/

mrvqhz2) permuting the roots of polynomial defin-ing the extension has natural action on cognitiverepresentation and therefore also on space-timesheets containing the cognitive representation.Space-time can be regarded as n-sheeted singularcovering with n identifiable order of Galois group.Since the value heff/h = n of Planck constant isalso identified as number of sheets for a space-timesurface as singular covering, the natural conclusionis that the hierarchy of Planck constants identifiedin terms of hierarchy of dark matters is a predictionof adelic physics. Galois groups would becomesymmetry groups of adelic physics and of cognition.

p-Adic length scale physics [38] states that primesp 2k and possible also powers of other smallprimes such as 3, are physically preferred beingassignable to physical systems such as elementaryparticles. In particular, Mersenne prime Mn =2n − 1 seem to define fundamental length scales. These primes characterize the size scale Lp ∝ √

pof the system. For instance, k = 151 correspondsto the length scale 10 nm associated with the cellmembrane thickness. p-Adic length scale hypothe-sis is absolutely crucial element of TGD and givesit much of its predictive power.

Adelic physics [76] suggests an explanation of p-adic length scale hypothesis. Given extension of ra-tionals contains so called ramified primes (ordinaryprimes) for which the decomposition to a product ofprimes of extension involves higher powers of someprimes of extension whereas some primes of exten-sion are missing. These primes should be physicallypreferred. It could be that extensions for which theramified primes satisfy p-adic length scale hypothe-sis are survivors in number theoretical fight for sur-vival. For instance, the algebraic complexity forthese extensions could be exceptionally large. Theextensions of extension preserve the ramified primesso that they would be analogous to conserved genes[76].

4 Some TGD Inspired Biology

TGD inspired quantum biology relies on followinggeneral ideas.

1. The hierarchy of dark matters with levels la-belled by Planck constant heff/h = n makespossible macroscopic quantum coherence. Thehierarchy of p-adic length scales labeled by

primes p 2k defines second important hierar-chy.

2. Magnetic body (MB) (see http://tinyurl.

com/lrvtwe5) carrying dark matter act as in-tentional agent using biological body (BB) assensory receptor and motor instrument andcommunicating with it using dark photons ableto transform to ordinary photons identifiableas bio-photons. Bio-chemistry could to seen asshadow of the dynamics of MB. For instance, basic biomolecules would have analogs consist-ing of sequences of dark proton triplets (analogof DNA codon) realizing genetic code [73].

4.1 Magnetic Body as IntentionalAgent

Magnetic field associated with a given system de-composes to flux tubes and sheets to that systemhas magnetic body (MB). The physics of MBs couldbe a new chapter in physics and MB could define abasic space-time correlate for non-locality.

1. Flux tubes of MB would serve as correlates forquantum entanglement, which in TGD frame-work can be negentropic and for this reasonrather stable under state function reductions.Magnetic flux tubes carrying monopole fluxare stable since flux conservation prevents theirpinching. The pairs of flux tubes with oppositefluxes can however split to two U-shaped fluxtubes by reconnection. Also the reverse pro-cess is possible. Note that magnetic flux tubesare necessarily closed and can be regarded asfluxes running along different space-time sheetsin opposite directions and from sheet to an-other through the wormhole contacts at ends.

2. Magnetic flux tubes and ME associated withthem form two-sheeted structures so that fluxtubes could be seen kind of waveguides forMEs. MEs carrying dark cyclotron or gener-alized Josephson photons would be crucial forcommunications from BB to MB and control ofBB by MB [48, 65]. EEG would be only specialcase of these communications and fractal hier-archy of analogs of EEG is highly suggestive.

3. MB and dark matter at it would serve as in-tentional agent in biological systems [40]. Theorganism-environment duality is replaced by

the trinity MB-organism-environment. For in-stance, EEG and its strong correlation withbrain state and consciousness could be under-stood in terms of communication of sensorydata from cell membranes to MB and controland coordination signals from MB to BB [48].

Signals generated by MB (presumably) DNAwould consist of dark cyclotron photons withenergies E = hefff = n × hf in bio-photonenergy range and thus above thermal energies.Cell membrane would generate dark (general-ized) Josephson photons to communicate sen-sory input to MB. For instance, the recently ob-served synchrony between hemispheres in ab-sence of corpus callosum [23] could be under-stood in terms of MB serving as “boss”.

4. The formation of flux tube reconnections wouldserve as a correlate for directed attention -the attention could be directed to objects ofexternal world or to their representations inbrain. The reconnection would take place forU-shaped flux tubes serving as kind of mag-netic tentacles and lead to a formation of pairsof flux tubes connecting the two systems. Ifflux tubes carry monopole flux as one has rea-sons to expect, the flux tubes would be actuallyclosed two-sheeted structures (also elementaryparticles would be this kind of structures) andflux tube pair would be pair of these. The fluxtubes of MBs would serve as analogs of waveguides along with precisely targeted communi-cations of dark photon signals (“massless ex-tremals”, MEs) would be possible. Also supracurrents would be possible and the TGD basedmodel of high Tc superconductivity relies onthe same mechanism [59]. These communica-tions would be essential in living matter.

5. The magnetic field strengths are expected tohave spectrum but there seems to be especiallyimportant value of magnetic field that I havecalled endogenous magnetic field Bend. Theflux tubes of Bend = 2/5BE , where BE = .5Gauss is the Earth’s magnetic field would ex-plain the findings about effects of ELF em fieldson vertebrate brain in terms of cyclotron tran-sitions [22, 59]. These flux tubes would carrydark matter. Closed magnetic flux tubes plusions and their electric analogs (involved withbio-electrets and liquid crystals and also with

cell membrane) would be fundamental electro-magnetic life forms around which ordinary bio-matter self-organizes.

4.1.1 About the Dynamics of MBs

The dynamics of MBs containing dark matter wouldbe central in quantum biology.

1. The formation of reconnections and phase tran-sitions n → m changing heff = n×h would beone of the basic mechanisms behind biochem-istry. U-shaped flux tubes would act like tenta-cles emerging from the system and the recon-nection of the tentacles would build a connec-tion between two systems serving as a correlatefor directed attention.

The reduction of heff would shorten the con-necting flux tubes and could force the systemsin the vicinity of each other after which bio-catalysis could take place. Braiding and its 2-braid variant for string world sheets and par-tonic 2-surfaces in 4-D space-time instead ofstrings in 3-D space would make possible re-alization of quantum computer program likestructures.

2. The proposal [49] is that the braiding of mag-netic flux tubes makes possible topologicalquantum computations and DNA and lipid lay-ers of cell membrane form an ideal hardware fortopological quantum computer with the braid-ing of flux tubes connecting lipid layers withDNA nucleotides defining the TQC programs.

Braiding provides also a universal memorystorage mechanism since liquid flow inducesbraiding of the particle in the flow. The lipidlayers of the cell membrane are indeed liquidcrystals so that their flows update quantumcomputer programs coded by space-like braid-ing. Dance metaphor gives the idea: imag-ine dancers with threads connecting their feetto a wall. As dancers move along the par-quette, their temporal dancing patterns gener-ate a braiding of the threads representing thedance as a memory.

3. Flux tube pairs connecting two system canbe superconducting. The members of Cooperpairs are at parallel flux tubes for which fluxesare in same or opposite directions. The Cooper

pairs are spin triplets or singlets in these twocases. Large value of heff makes possiblethe needed macroscopic quantum coherence[59, 60]. This high Tc superconductivity wouldbe crucial for life.

4. The phase transitions changing heff reduce orincrease the length of the flux tube and couldbe responsible for the dramatic volume changesof cytoplasm. The contraction of flux tubesprovides also a general mechanism allowing thereactants to find each other in bio-catalysis inthe dense molecular soup. Reconnections andcontractions/expansions of magnetic flux tubesmake topology of the web formed by magneticflux tubes - tensor network [75] - dynamical.

5. The binding energies of atoms are proportionalto 1/h2

eff and cyclotron energy scale to heff .This explains why metabolism is essential forlife. The transformation of ordinary matter todark matter requires energy feed and metabolicenergy provides it. Also the basic mecha-nism of catalysis can be understood. Reactingmolecules contain dark atoms. In the catalysissome dark atoms return to normal state andemit energy used to kick the reacting moleculesover the potential wall. Reaction proceeds fastand after that energy is returned back and theatoms become dark again.

4.1.2 Pollack’s Exclusion Zones and MB

The discovery of negatively charged exclusion zone(EZ) formed in water bounded by a gel phase hasled Pollack to propose the notion of gel like fourthphase of water [7, 19, 18] (see http://tinyurl.

com/oyhstc2).

1. This phase would correspond to negativelycharged regions - EZs - with size up to 100-200microns generated when energy is fed into thewater - say as radiation, in particular solar ra-diation. The stoichiometry of the EZ is H1.5Oand can be understood if every fourth protonis dark proton residing at the flux tubes of theMB assignable to the EZ and outside it [72, 70].

2. One application is a model for prebiotic cell asEZ. Dark protons are proposed to form darknuclear strings, whose states can be groupedto groups corresponding to DNA, RNA, tRNA

and amino-acids for which vertebrate geneticcode is realized in a natural manner [30, 50].The voltage associated with the system definesthe analog of membrane potential, and servesas a source of metabolic energy as in the caseof ordinary metabolism. The creation of darknuclear strings requires metabolic energy. Theenergy is liberated in a reverse phase transitionin which dark protons transform to ordinaryones. Dark proton strings serve as analogs ofbasic biopolymers, and one can imagine ana-log of bio-catalysis with enzymes replaced withtheir dark analogs.

3. Pollack’s EZs might for instance explain whyDNA is negatively charged. EZs or theirgeneralization could play fundamental role inmetabolism with dark protons running throughmitochondrial membrane. Also other biolog-ically important ions involved would be dark.EZs could be important even in electrolysis andallow to explain what happens in cold fusion[74]. These hypothesis could be tested.

4. Water has an especially complex many-sheetedspace-time structure [50] and the proposal ofAndrzej Brodziak [1] is that the spring waterassociated with places where apparitions areclaimed to have occurred plays some importantrole. We ourselves consist mostly of highly self-organized water and it would not be surpris-ing if water would not have varying degree ofself-organization depending on external param-eters such as the structure of the local magneticfield. Perhaps highly self-organized water helpsto generate the quantum entanglement.

The TGD based explanation [50] for the ex-ceptional properties of water is that it involvesbesides ordinary phase also the dark phase inthe temperature interval containing the physi-ological temperatures. The dark fraction corre-sponds to water molecules connected by hydro-gen bonds to form molecular clusters perhapsidentifiable as EZs. The magnetic tentacles ofthese clusters would be able to build contacts toto invader molecule and form a representationfor the cyclotron frequency spectrum of the in-vader molecules characterizing its quantum bi-ological effects. This would give rise to watermemory. Immune system would have evolvedfrom these representations. Also homeopathic

remedies might represent the biologically activesubstances in this manner. If true, this wouldmean that medicines could be replaced withchemically harmless homeopathic remedies.

4.1.3 Magnetic Flux Tubes as Tensor Net

Some highly interesting new physics is related tothe transfer of matter between different space-timesheets, in particular super-conducting ions frommagnetic flux tubes of Earth’s magnetic field to theatomic space-time sheets, where these currents be-come ohmic currents and dissipate.

1. The many-sheeted circuitry provides the basicmodel of homeostasis as a many-sheeted ionicflow equilibrium, and metabolism at the ba-sic level reduces to the circulation of protonsand ions between atomic space-time sheets andmagnetic flux tubes. The notion of tensor net-work [75] realizing maximal quantum entangle-ment would be realized in terms of flux tubes.

2. Crucial elements of this circuitry are thebridges connecting different space-time sheetsto each other, in particular atomic space-timesheets and magnetic flux tubes [50, 51]. Mag-netic flux tubes are an essential element of themodel of sensory representations at magneticsensory canvas. Schumann resonances couldtransmit horizontal communications betweenbrains [53] and could make possible collec-tive shared experiences characteristic for FMA.Hypnagogic states give also rise to analogousexperiences and probably involve Schumannresonances.

3. The nodes of the super-conducting circuitryformed by the magnetic flux tubes could beof special importance for phenomena involvingcommunications with higher levels of self hier-archy. Therefore special geomagnetic featurescould characterize the places where apparitionscan possibly occur.

4.2 Dark Photons and Quantum Bi-ology

The hypothesis that biophotons result from darkphotons by a phase transition reducing heff/h = nto n = 1 is discussed in [68, 69].

4.2 Dark Photons and Quantum Biology 4 SOME TGD INSPIRED BIOLOGY

4.2.1 Dark Photons and Biophotons

The are several proposals for the source of bio-photons: for instance cell membrane [10], DNA[14], mitochondria [15], linear molecules [17], mi-crotubules are proposed as sources of bio-photons.The existence of several sources conforms with theuniversality of production mechanism. The spec-trum of bio-photons is continuous, which does notfavor the idea that they are induced by moleculartransitions. The TGD inspired hypothesis is that bio-photons

correspond to dark cyclotron photons emitted inphase transitions of Bose-Einstein condensates ofbosonic ions or of their Cooper pairs at the mag-netic flux tubes.A further assumption is that gr = eff = n hy-

pothesis holds true. Gravitational Planck constantgr = GMm/v0 = (Mm/m2

P ) × h (mP denotesPlanck mass) was originally introduced by Nottale[26] and suggested to explain planetary orbits asBohr orbits. The proportionality to the masses Mand m guarantees Equivalence Principle. M corre-spond large mass such as mass of Earth and m cancorrespond to the mass of particle, say electron, ion,or proton. v0 < c is a parameter with dimension ofvelocity. With this assumption cyclotron energies

effQB/m = GMQB/v0 (Q is the charge ofthe charged particle) do not depend at all on themass m of the charged particle so that the cyclotronenergy spectrum is universal. Also the gravita-tional Compton length Λgr = gr/m = GM/v0 isuniversal. Macroscopic quantum gravitation wouldbe fundamental in biology. Note that this proposalis very different from Orch-OR of Penrose andHameroff. The energy spectrum of dark photons would be in

visible and UV and correspond to the spectrum ofmolecular transition energies. The phase transitionsreducing heff to its standard value would producebio-photons as a kind of leakage.Cyril Smith [8] has found that irradiation of living

with extremely low frequency radiation gives rise toa radiation with much higher frequency.

1. The so called scaling law [50] predicting thathigh and low frequency MEs somehow accom-pany each other, helps to understand the sit-uation more clearly. The scaling law is ab-stracted and generalized from the findings ofSmith reads as

fhigh =c

v× flow ,

c

v= 2137−k × 2× 1011 .

Here v is some velocity parameter associatedwith the system transforming low frequencywaves to high frequency waves and vice versa. Also other values of v are possible. k is primedefining p-adic prime p 2k, labelling thespace-time sheets of the many-sheeted space-time and characterizing their sizes. k = 137corresponds to the space-time sheets of atomicsize and gives c/v = 2 × 1011. k = 151 corre-sponds to the cell membrane length scale andgives v 6 m/s, the phase velocity of alphawaves at the surface of skull.

2. TGD suggests a mechanism behind the scal-ing law: fhigh(k) corresponds to zero point ki-netic energy of an ion at the space-time sheetlabelled by k (p-adic prime p 2k), and flow tocyclotron frequency at the magnetic flux tubeof Earth’s magnetic field: both these energiesare inversely proportional to the mass of theion. k refers to the space-time sheet from whichthe ion “drops” to the magnetic flux tube. Thevalue of c/v is inversely proportional to the lo-cal value of Earth’s magnetic field and thusvaries somewhat. In the case of k = 151 thiscould explain the variation of the nerve pulseconduction velocity and EEG phase velocity.

3. These transitions could also correspond to thetransitions heff = hgr → h. It is not clearwhether the two mechanisms are related. Onewould have fhigh/flow = hgr/h = c/v =(Mm/m2

P ) × c/v0 giving v = v0 × (m2P /Mm).

Note that v might be more fundamental thanv0. The transformation of the dark photons tobio-photons could be in question.

4.2.2 Interactions of Ordinary and DarkPhotons

Pair of flux tube and ME as space-time correlatefor the interaction. One can imagine a great varietyof different kind of interaction of ordinary and darkphotons with matter and dark matter. I will use thenotation n = heff/h in the following. The followingmechanism could be called metabolic.

4.2 Dark Photons and Quantum Biology 4 SOME TGD INSPIRED BIOLOGY

1. Ordinary photons can provide the energyneeded to transform ordinary atoms or cy-clotron states to their dark variants. The basicfunction of metabolism could be generation ofdark matter in this manner. More general pro-cess would be the increase ni → nf induced bydark photons.

These states could decay back to state withni < nf by emitting dark energy. The couldbe basic mechanism of bio-catalysis allowing toovercome the potential wall preventing the re-action to occur swiftly.

2. Cyclotron transitions for the dark charged par-ticles at the magnetic flux could be induced byordinary or dark photons and lead to a pop-ulation reversal. Energies are proportional ton and therefore above thermal energy for suffi-ciently large n. Population reversed state candecay to the state with lower energy by a phasetransition producing dark photons. Also otherthan cyclotron states can be considered. Alsodark photons could decay to n ordinary pho-tons inducing population reversal for ordinarystates.

For instance, one can imagine also more exoticoption in which dark photon radiation “kicks”super-conducting ions to a larger dark space-time sheet or that the space-time sheet expandsbeing scaled by nf/ni. The reversal of the pro-cess emits dark photons. The ions having largezero point kinetic energy at space-time sheetwith larger scale can “drop” back to high n cy-clotron states at the magnetic flux tubes anddecay by emitting a large number of ELF pho-tons.

3. In ZEO negative energy dark photons propa-gating and dissipating in reverse time directionare possible. This could give rise to remotemetabolism which I have called also quantumcredit card mechanism [51]. The system thatneeds metabolic energy can send negative en-ergy signal (phase conjugate laser beam wouldbe example of this) to a source of energy anal-ogous to population reversed laser.

One can imagine also other interaction mecha-nisms.

1. The value of p 2k can change inducing achange of p-adic length scale by factor 2−k/2

and also the value of n can change such thatnf/ni = 2k/2. No net change of size scalewould take place. Zero point kinetic energy is2eff/2mL2

p is invariant under change of heff

whereas p-adic scaling increases it by factor2k so that this transition requires energy feed. The reverse transition involving reduction ofheff and increase of p-adic length scale liber-ates energy as one can indeed expect.

2. Ordinary photons can experience phase tran-sition to dark photons with the same energy:dark photon is n-sheeted consisting n effec-tively n photons with 1/n-fractional quantumnumbers.

4.2.3 Dark Photons and Remote Mental in-teractions

TGD based model of remote mental interactionsis discussed in [61]. The model is based on thenotion of negentropic entanglement (NE) [55] hav-ing as a geometric correlate the formation of mag-netic flux tubes. Many-sheeted space-time (seehttp://tinyurl.com/mf99gpv) makes in principleentanglement possible in even astrophysical timescales. Also time-like entanglement is possible andcould be involved with quantum mirror mechanismof long term memory [64] as analog for seeing intime direction (ZEO is essential here). Essentialis also the notion of adjunct serving as a kind ofrelay station entangling any two subjects during re-mote mental interaction, say healer and healee, andinducing sharing and fusion of mental images andmaking possible also classical communications. Anobject possessed by the healer or healee is one ex-ample of an adjunct.

The classical signals are associated with pairsformed by flux tubes and MEs having a length, which is a multiple of the wavelength of the radia-tion involved and therefore the frequencies involvedare typically ELF frequencies. Human intentionand attention could be able to generate dark mag-netic flux tubes accompanied by dark microwaveMEs giving rise to the bonds between the systemsinvolved.

Brain and body generate microwaves (GHz fre-quency scale corresponds to protein and DNA con-formational dynamics and water’s rotational transi-tions), and the intention could be remotely realizedalso using these microwaves. The problem is to un-

derstand how ELF MEs and microwave MEs are re-lated to each other. Fractal hierarchy of flux tubeswithin flux tubes and associated MEs is suggestive.

4.2.4 Dark Photons and Healing

How dark photons could be involved with healing? The simplest form of disease is that some part ofbody does not receive metabolic energy so that darkmatter degenerates to ordinary dead matter, losesquantum coherence, and does not self-organize any-more. One can also imagine more complex formsof illness such as those with genetic origin and dueto the failure of the tensor network formed by fluxtubes. For instance, some connections could bemissing. In particular, communications to and con-trol by some layer of magnetic body (MB). The de-pression caused by lack of Lithium could be due tothe lack of dark cyclotron photons at cyclotron fre-quency of Li so that the control by MB is lost [52].

For the simplest form of disease the challenge isrevival of the body part by getting a local feed ofmetabolic energy needed to transform some matterto dark matter. Healing in the simplest form wouldprovide metabolic energy. This energy could arriveas dark photons along dark flux tubes from healer, from the MB of healer, or some other MB.

In [50] it is proposed that the magnetic bodies forclusters of water molecules can mimic the cyclotronenergy spectrum of various molecules as spectrum ofcyclotron frequencies of their own MB, and that theability to reproduce the cyclotron frequency spec-trum of the medicine molecule is an essential el-ement of homeopathic healing. The level of self-organization of water would thus be measured byhow complex mimicry it is able to perform. Howdark cyclotron photons with energy above thermalthreshold could transform to ordinary photons withsay energies in microwave range assignable to molec-ular conformational degrees of freedom and rota-tional spectrum of water molecules?

1. Cyclotron photon associated with electron isabout 6× 105 Hz for Bend = .2 Gauss. To getphotons with frequencies in microwave range.3 -300 GHz one should have magnetic field inthe range .01-10 Tesla. The upper bound isunrealistically high.

2. If heff/h = n has integer m as a factor, darkcyclotron photon can decay to a bunch of dark

of m dark photons with heff/h = n/m. In par-ticular, dark photon with energy in bio-photonrange and frequency in microwave range candecay to a bunch of ordinary microwave pho-tons. Dark cyclotron photon decaying to mdark photons with energy of cyclotron pho-ton and transforming to ordinary photon withenergy of microwave photons could producemicrowave photons. Dark cyclotron photonswould thus provide a rather general mechanismof metabolism with quantized metabolic ener-gies.

4.3 Plasmoids as Primitive LifeForms

The view about MB as intentional agent carryinglarge heff dark matter leads naturally to the viewthat plasmoid structures consisting of closed mag-netic flux tubes plus atomic space-time sheets con-taining plasma ions represent primitive life forms. All life forms metabolize since energy is neededto increase heff/h creating phases of dark mat-ter. Ordinary bio-matter is assumed to self-organizearound plasmoids and nerve circuit could representan example of a structure resulting in this manner.Plasmoids from outer space could leak into the

magnetosphere mostly through pole gaps, wherethe magnetic field of Earth is weak: elsewheremagneto-pause serves as a magneto-immune sys-tem, which does not allow the penetration of theexternal magnetic life forms to compete about en-ergy sources. In accordance with magneto-immunefunction, planetary magnetospheres are known tobe self-organizing structures and the fact that Marsdoes not possess magnetosphere might relate to thedisappearance of Martian life. Also the magneticfield of Earth is getting weaker and the change ofthe polarity expected to occur within two thousandyears might have rather dramatic consequences forthe life as we know it.Plasmoids, being extremely light structures,

could easily follow the energy beam flowing fromthe spot of tectonic activity, and the random varia-tion of the beam direction could explain the randombutterfly like motion of UFOs often observed andvery difficult to understand if UFOs are structuresbuilt of steel and copper. The strange apparentmotion assigned with Sun in the case of Sun mira-cle might allow interpretation as an example of thiskind of rapid random motion of plasmoid possible

5 MODEL FOR FMA

following microwave beam of tectonic or some otherorigin. Also plasmoids need energy feed to self-organize.

Plasmoids could populate magnetosphere and onlywait for energy sources to self-organize. The basicmetabolic mechanism would be the same as in thecase of living matter [51]. The feed of micro-wavescould induce a primitive metabolic cycle. The fol-lowing is just one guess amongst many and besidesmicrowaves also waves with other wave-lengths canbe involved.

1. Microwave photons (in particular) could pro-vide the metabolic energy by kicking ions andalso atoms, and even molecules to dark fluxtubes and transform them to dark ions. Onecan also imagine that plasmoids generate par-tially their “microwave food” (also other fre-quencies are possible) themselves via the cy-clotron transitions of electrons. This would re-quire that the magnetic flux tubes in questioncarry a magnetic field of about .2 Tesla: thep-adic length scale in question corresponds tothe thickness of the cell membrane. Solar con-vective zone contains magnetic fields with thisstrength.

2. Dark ions could “drop” from the magnetic fluxtubes and transform to ordinary ions at atomicor some other space-time sheets, where theydissipate and induce ionization and UV andvisible light possibly identifiable as bio-photonsand then “drop” back to the magnetic fluxtubes. If the intensity of the magnetic fieldis about .2 Tesla, which by the quantizationof magnetic flux, corresponds to p-adic primek = 157 and p-adic length scale of 80 nanome-ters), electronic cyclotron transitions generatemicrowaves with frequency of about 2.4 GHzand the system can thus generate its “food”itself.

3. Microwaves can also “kick” ions from magneticflux tubes to k = 151 space-time sheets sincethe zero point kinetic energies for k = 151 cor-respond to microwave frequencies. It seemsthat the process involves at least the follow-ing space-time sheet: k = 137 (atomic), k =151 (cell membrane), k = 157, and k = 169(magnetic flux tubes of Earth’s magnetic field).UFOs are often observed near the lines of thetectonic activity could represent this kind of life

form using the energy of microwaves of tectonicorigin (quartz crystals are piezo-electrics andcan amplify wide range of microwaves) as their“food” and therefore following the microwavebeam emanating from the spot of tectonic ac-tivity. Also the UFO like structures associatedwith the FMA could be plasmoid like life forms.

The role of water making possible Pollack’s EZscould be also essential. The realization of geneticcode at magnetic flux tubes in terms of 3-protonunits could be predecessor of the chemical realiza-tion of genetic code [73].

5 Model for FMA

One can build a model of FMA using the abovedescribed view about TGD, TGD inspired theoryof consciousness, and TGD inspired quantum biol-ogy. In the case of FMA the interaction of darkphotons with various frequencies would generateentanglement between the brains of people seeingthe visions and the conscious entity “Marian” rep-resenting mental image in collective consciousness.Plasmoid like life forms could serve in the role ofmedium connecting humans with “Marian”. Samemechanism applies to UFO and ET experiences ingeneral.

There are strong resemblances between TGDbased models for UFO experiences, NDE experi-ences and FMA. Also in the case FMA structures, which might have been interpreted as UFOs in ourcultural context appeared and even “Marian” couldhave been interpreted as UFO in modern culturalcontext.

The TGD based model of UFO experiences dis-cussed in [53] involves in an essential manner quan-tum entanglement between conscious electromag-netic entities (plasmoids), and unifies Persinger’stheories [24] with the view that ETs are real, al-though not in the sense usually thought. Plas-moids could be seen as advanced counterparts ofspace ships having a rather ghostly crew consistingof mental images (sub-selves) entangled with themagnetosphere of some distant astrophysical objectserving as its tele-sensory system and able to en-tangle alsowith the person having UFO experience.Translating directly to this case this would meanthat plasmoid like structure in the vicinity of theapparition place would have served as kind of relay

station entangling with both seer and entity “Mar-ian”, which could have been even extraterrestrialintelligence (for more detailed mechanism see [67].

5.1 FMA as Interaction betweenCollective Level of Consciousnessand Humans

In TGD universe any system has besides the vis-ible, physical, body also field/magnetic body (seehttp://tinyurl.com/n3sghcs), which has muchlarger, actually astro-physical size - at least in caseof species possessing EEG. Personal sensory repre-sentations would be realized at the personal MBhaving layers with astrophysical size and fusingthird person view and first person view as aspectsof consciousness.

Second type of sensory representations (collectivelevels consciousness) would be realized at the darkpart of Earth’s magnetosphere and would give riseto multi-brained electromagnetic selves represent-ing collective levels of consciousness. Amazingly, plasma sheet at the night-side of Earth’s magneto-sphere is known to be a highly self-organizing struc-ture and the ionic velocity distributions representfeatures like “eyes” and “wings” [20].

Even religions could represent to collective levelsof consciousness having a rich repertoire of collec-tive mental images like Virgin Mary and saints. Thesimplest working hypothesis is therefore that the en-tity “Marian” is a genuine conscious entity - self - ata higher level of self hierarchy. In TGD frameworkany self defines a mental image of a higher level selfhaving it as a sub-self.

“Marian” could communicate with humans usingquantum entanglement making possible telepathicsharing and fusion of mental images. Plasmoidcould have served as a kind of medium, relay sta-tion. Even an identification as an extraterrestrialentity becomes possible since the entanglement be-tween flux tube ends does not depend on distance.

The TGD view about sensory perception is thatwe build our perceptions in terms of standardizedmental images with a lot of feedback from brain -during dreams this feedback dominates. Thereforethe visualization as Virgin Mary could reflect onlythe cultural background: nowadays the interpreta-tion might be in terms of UFO or ET.

5.2 The Mystery Of The BuzzingSound

The witnesses of FMA report buzzing sounds likebees in a vase [2].

5.2.1 Various Effects Related to the Mi-crowaves

Very wide range of frequencies ranging from thefrequencies of visible photons down to EEG fre-quencies and even below them (as the existence ofslower biorhythms suggests) are expected be of sig-nificance in biology. Microwaves frequencies corre-spond to the energy scale associated with confor-mational states of biomolecules and therefore oneexpect that it is of special importance.Microwave photons have energies below thermal

energy at physiological temperatures. This leadsto ask whether part of microwave photons could bedark photons at energies above thermal energy, per-haps even in bio-photon energy range (visible andUV). Can one imagine that the conformational de-grees of freedom are dark? Or should one assumethat dark microwave photons decay to a bunchesof ordinary microwave photons thus causing a largeeffect on ordinary matter?Microwaves span the wavelength range 1 mm -

10 cm corresponding to the frequency range 300-.3 GHz. There is support for the importance ofmicrowaves for living systems coming from variousanomalous phenomena involving microwaves. Thebuzzing sound might relate to several other strangesound phenomena like meteor sounds, taos hum,and physiophonic sounds. These exotic sound phe-nomena are discussed in [52].

1. A strange finding supporting the TGD viewabout sensory representations is that, contraryto expectations, the sounds generated by emfields of meteors have fundamentals around 40Hz thalamocortical resonance band responsiblefor sensory representations [21]. This soundis like “pop”, not buzzing. Microwaves mod-ulated by ELF frequencies in the range 200 to400 Hz are known to produce buzzing sounds.

2. Taos hum [16] is a strange phenomenon whichmight relate to the microwave audition. Nosource for this sound, which has frequencyspectrum in the range 40-80 Hz, has been iden-tified. Buzzing sound is also sometimes associ-

17

5.2 The Mystery Of The Buzzing Sound 5 MODEL FOR FMA

ated with taos hum. If the buzz has the charac-ter of taos hum, this would require that soundsheard also by the witnesses were endogenousand not recordable by microphones. There isstrong correlation between taos hum and socalled microwave static having poorly under-stood biological origin [16] suggesting that mi-crowave static is modulated by ELF frequen-cies.

3. Physiophonic sounds are endogenous soundsproduced by electric stimulation of skin. Onecan transform speech to electric signals ap-plied to skin and experienced as comprehensi-ble speech. Physiophonic sounds are probablyclosely related to taos hum.

4. Microwave hearing [11] is a phenomenon inwhich microwaves in the frequency range .3-300 GHz (wavelength range [1 , .1] m ) induce ahearing sensation. There is evidence that earsare not involved with the microwave hearing[9]. The average pressure of the radar waveat the threshold of hearing is roughly three or-ders of magnitude less than the average pres-sure of a sine wave in air at the threshold ofhearing air waves. Second, the location of themost sensitive area for hearing radar is remotefrom the ears, on top of the head. Third, thesubjective frequency spectrum seems to includehigher frequencies for radar hearing than fornormal hearing of air waves. Fourth, the direc-tion from which sound seems to come does notchange as the head is turned about in the radarfield.

It is difficult to point out any detailed TGDbased mechanism of microwave hearing (http://tinyurl.com/pc3odto): there are simplytoo many options. In standard physics ap-proach the cause is thought to be thermoelasticexpansion of portions of the auditory appara-tus. An intriguing finding possibly correlatingwith the effect is “burning” of water inducedby microwaves [12, 13].

5. Microwaves in GHz range are also found tobe involved with water memory [8]. Accord-ing to Smith microwave frequencies are accom-panied by ELF frequencies such that the highand low frequencies fhigh and flow are relatedby the scaling law to be discussed later. A pos-sible explanation is in terms of a phase tran-

sition transforming dark ELF photons to mi-crowave photons so that the ratio fhigh/flow =heff,f/heff,i = nf/ni.

6. The proposal of Joaquim Fernandez [2] that mi-crowave hearing would also explain the strangebuzzing sounds reported by the witnesses of theFMAs serves as a clue also in the TGD basedmodel of this phenomenon. Dark photonscould also transform to ordinary microwavephotons and induce the effects associated withthe microwaves.

7. UFO experiences are often associated with thelines of the tectonic activity could representthis kind of life form using the energy of mi-crowaves of tectonic origin (quartz crystals arepiezo-electrets and can amplify wide range ofmicrowaves) as their “food” and therefore fol-lowing the microwave beam emanating fromthe spot of tectonic activity. Also the UFOlike structures associated with the FMA couldbe plasmoid like life forms.

8. Microwaves radiated in the conformationaltransitions of proteins and possibly amplifiedby the rotational transitions of water moleculesand clusters of them mimicking the rotationalspectra of molecules generate bridges connect-ing super-conducting space-time sheets andatomic space-time sheets and thus sustain thedynamical circuitry. If some protein fails tobe expressed genetically, this implies the ab-sence of certain microwave frequencies so thatcorresponding bridges are not present and er-ratic functioning of the current circuitry result.Medicines and homeopathic remedies in whichwater clusters mimic the rotational spectrum ofthe medicine molecules generate the microwavespectrum of the proteins, which are not ex-pressed.

5.2.2 Microwave Hypothesis

It has been proposed [2] that microwave audition[11] could be involved with the buzzing sounds as-signed FMA. There exists a standard physics expla-nation for microwave audition based on thermal ef-fects caused by microwaves inducing small pressurepulses [11]. This explanation is however far frombeing established and TGD suggests an alternativemechanism.

5.3 Connection with Schumann Resonance? 5 MODEL FOR FMA

According to [2] French and Canadian researchershave found interesting results using a source of mi-crowaves on the subject’s heads: one of the soundstype heard was a “buzzing”. The source was be-tween 200 and 3000 MHz with a mean intensity offrom 0.4 to 2 mW/cm2 to a density level of above300 mW/cm2. The modulating frequencies rangedfrom 200 to 400 Hz. According to [2], the insectsounds resulting from the motion of wings could beput between that interval. An order of magnitudefor the resonance frequency of body guessing thesound velocity to be v = 300 m/s in body and bodyto have a size of order L = 1 m is f ∼ v/L = 300 Hz.Microwaves could correspond to microwave static ofbiological origin [16] or be generated by plasmoidlike structures.

Microwaves has been proposed as an explana-tion for the other physical effects reported in FMA,namely those associated with the so-called Sun mir-acle when the people saw the “Sun” turning arounditself and produce a heat wave that dry the soil thatmoments before has been wet by a sudden rain, aswell the clothes of people in the spot, also wet. Theproblem with this explanation is that microwaveswith the required intensity might have had drasticphysiological effects: there is no known evidence forthis.

What ever the explanation of the buzzing soundis, it must involve modulation at ELF frequencies. This suggests that microwaves modulated by ELFfrequencies (say EEG frequencies) are in question.A possible TGD inspired explanation is that mi-crowave photons were dark and emerged from darkELF photons emitted a plasmoid like structure play-ing the role of a “medium”.

1. At space-time level this translates to the pic-ture about microwave flux tubes + MEs withinELF flux tubes + MEs. Any transformationof dark ELF photon to m dark photons ni →nf = ni/m is possible and could have pro-duced both visible bio-photons and dark mi-crowave photons. The ELF frequencies couldbe in the range 200-300 Hz. Note that 330 Hzcorresponds to the cyclotron frequency of pro-ton in magnetic field Bend = .2 Gauss. Fromfhigh/flow = ni/nf the ratio nf/ni would havevaried in the range 106 − 1.5× 109.

2. The transformation of the microwave photonsto bio-photons at visible and UV range could

have caused the visual sensations (Sun turningaround). Dark microwave photons could haveinteracted with water causing its evaporationand drying of the soil (similar interaction couldtake place in microwave oven and in the “burn-ing” of water subject to microwaves [13]).

Why the buzzing sound was heard only whenMaria talked with closed lips? Facial expressionis important part of communications, especially sowhen one cannot speak loudly. Did dark ELF pho-tons transformed to dark microwave photon induc-ing the buzzing sound rather than to visible bio-photons inducing the visual sensation about movinglips.

5.3 Connection with Schumann Res-onance?

Schumann resonance associated with the Earth’sMB could be important for collective consciousnessand allow fusion of personal magnetic bodies to alarger structure. One possibility is that microwave hearing involves

the “dropping” of ions from k = 151 cell membranespace-time sheet and liberation of zero point energyas microwaves propagating along EEG MEs. Thisspace-time sheet could be also subject to expansionreducing the value of zero point kinetic energy. Thismight allow to understand the connection with theSchumann resonance at 7.8 Hz in alpha band.

1. As a cavity resonance Schumann resonance pre-vails in the entire Earth size scale, and is inTGD based model of magnetospheric sensoryrepresentations responsible for horizontal com-munications between different brains, and moregenerally, between various conscious entities. For instance, during hypnagogy alpha banddominates and could by the sharing of mentalimages give rise to the strange experiences inwhich one experiences of being another person.Alpha band is also associated with creativity:perhaps our ideas are not completely ours.

2. The velocity parameter v predicted by the scal-ing law of homeopathy for k = 151 (cell mem-brane space-time sheet) is the velocity of al-pha waves at the surface of skull which sug-gests that alpha waves are generated in the pro-cess. For K+ and Cl− ions cyclotron frequen-cies are 7.5 Hz and 8.5 Hz respectively and near

to Schumann frequency and these ions are im-portant for brain functioning: their cyclotronradiation could resonate with Schumann reso-nance (note that the local value of Earth’s mag-netic field in brain could be subject to home-ostatic control). Thus the “dropping” of theseions from cell membrane space-time sheet couldbe crucial for the quantum entanglement with“Marian”.

5.4 Some Special Features Assignedwith FMA

The special features assigned with FMA deserved adiscussion.

1. Healings and water with special healing prop-erties have been also associated with Marianapparitions [1]. The model of healing basedon the feed of metabolic energy inducing phasetransitions generating dark matter could allowto understand why spring water with specialhealing properties seems to be a correlate ofapparition places [1].

The energies for the needed transitions are ex-pected to in a wide range. From moleculartransition energies in bio-photon range downto microwave energies assignable to conforma-tional transitions of molecules and rotationalenergies of water molecules. Although the cy-clotron frequencies are much below the mi-crowave range, the decay of dark cyclotron pho-tons to a bunch of dark photons with the en-ergy of microwave photons and transforming toordinary photons would allow feed of ordinarymicrowave photons perhaps inducing the gen-eration of dark matter.

2. The mysterious “angel hair” might have haveemerged as ions from magnetic flux tubes flewto atomic space-time sheets in the transforma-tion of dark matter to ordinary matter.

Perhaps the process creates chemical com-pounds in molten state which then cool andsolidify. Hair like appearance might reflect thegeometry of magnetic flux tubes (whose thick-ness is about 2.5-5 micrometers for Earth’smagnetic field). Many crop formations areknown to contain magnetized iron [5] as wellas small glass balls consisting of SiO2, that isquartz [3]. Meteoric iron could come from the

ionosphere along magnetic flux tubes. Si ionsor quartz could flow along magnetic flux tubesfrom the spot of the tectonic activity to theplasmoid, and become heated to high tempera-ture when entering to atomic space-time sheetsand colliding with oxygen atoms of the atmo-sphere. This in turn would give rise to glassballs. An analogous mechanism might be giverise to “angel hair”.

3. There is also anecdotal evidence for “vehicles”.Maybe the visual percept about plasmoid wascompleted by sensory feedback to something fa-miliar, which was “vehicle”. .

There are those who believe UFOs are real ob-jects rather than self-organization patterns cre-ated by (possibly dark) irradiation from a re-gion of tectonic activity. The reduction of effec-tive gravitational mass of a spinning magneticsystem has been reported [6]. TGD allows toconsider a mechanism causing this reductionand these objects are predicted to be accom-panied by plasma [71]. One can of thereforeplay with the idea that some UFOs are somekind of space crafts and maybe even the vehi-cles observed by witnesses in the case of Marianapparition.

Personally I do not believe that higher civiliza-tions would bother to use this kind of primitivetechnology if quantum entanglement allowingtelepathy and classical communications in bothtime directions allowing to circumvent the bar-rier due to finite light velocity are available.

6 Appendix: a Little Glossary

Topological Geometrodynamics (TGD): TGDcan be regarded as a unified theory of fundamentalinteractions. In General Relativity space-time timeis abstract pseudo-Riemannian manifold and thedynamical metric of the space-time describes grav-itational interactions. In TGD space-time is a 4-dimensional surface of certain 8-dimensional space, which is non-dynamical and fixed by either physicalor purely mathematical requirements. Hence space-time has shape besides metric properties. This iden-tification solves the conceptual difficulties relatedto the definition of the energy-momentum in Gen-eral Relativity. Even more, sub-manifold geometry,

Quantum-classical correspondence (QCC) states that allquantum notions have topological correlates at thelevel of many-sheeted space-time.Topological quantization: Topological field

quantization is one of the basic distinctions betweenTGD and Maxwell’s electrodynamics and GRT andmeans that various fields decompose to topologi-cal field quanta: radiation fields to “topologicallight rays”; magnetic fields to flux tube structures;and electric fields to electric flux quanta (electrets).Topological field quantization means that one canassign to every material system a field (magnetic)body, usually much larger than the material sys-tem itself, and providing a representation for vari-ous quantum aspects of the system.Strong form of holography (SH): SH states

tanglement both real entropy and various p-adic ne-gentropies identified as measures of conscious infor-mation. p-Adic negentropy - unlike real - can bepositive, and one can speak of negentropic entan-glement (NE). Negentropy Maximization Principle(NMP) states that it tends to increase. In the adelicformulation NMP holding true only in statisticalsense is a consequence rather than separate postu-late.Self, subself, self hierarchy: In ZEO self is

generalized Zeno effect. At the passive boundarynothing happens to the members of state pairs andthe boundary remains unaffected. At active bound-ary members of state pairs change and boundary it-self moves farther away from the passive boundaryreduction by reduction inducing localization of theactive boundary in the moduli space of CDs afterunitary evolution inducing delocalization in it. Selfdies as the first reduction takes place at oppositeboundary. A self hierarchy extending from elemen-tary particle level to the level of the entire Universe

is predicted. Selves can have sub-selves which theyexperience as mental images. Sub-selves of two sep-arate selves can quantum entangle and this givesrise to fusion of the mental images and the fusedmental image is shared by both selves.Sensory representations: The separation of

data processing and its representation is highly de-sirable. In computers processing of the data is per-formed inside CPU and representation is realizedoutside it (monitor screen, printer,...). In standardneuroscience it is however believed that both dataprocessing and representations are realized insidebrain. TGD leads the separation of data processingand representations: the “manual” of the materialbody provided by field (or magnetic) body servesas the counterpart of the computer screen at whichthe sensory and other representations of the dataprocessed in brain are realized. Various attributesof the objects of the perceptive field processed bybrain are quantum entangled with simple “some-thing exists” mental images at the MB.The topo-logical rays of EEG serve are the electromagneticbridges serving as the topological correlates for thisentanglement.
