I graduated from Tennessee Technology University in Cookeville, where I majored in Child Development & Family Relations. I worked as an intern in the UT Extension Putnam County Office this summer. I also worked as a Student Leader Intern for the Childrens Defense Fund. While serving youth in underserved areas, my passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families was sparked. My interests are do-it-yourself projects, painting and couponing. Ultimately, I hope to bring new, fresh ideas and programs to the FCE Clubs in the county and to create my own base programs in order to make a difference in the community. National FCE Week is October 11 – 17. The FCE Council plans to have County Mayor Bill Newman sign a proclamation designating National FCE Week in Lincoln County and urging citizens to join with FCE in encouraging individuals to spend quality time with their families to foster communication, love and understanding within each family and strengthen our communities. The proclamation should help to recognize the Countys FCE Clubs for their leadership role in promoting this community action cam- paign to Make a Date with Your Family”. Dont Forget the FCE County Council Meeting on October 13 at 9:30 am Think about new ornament ideas for next year. Select which club will be taking over the tree for next year. McBurg & Molino still need to submit their 2016 FCE Yearbook Info Update form. County Council 2016 Information Sheet is Due October 1st. The Host of Christmas Past will be held November 13 - 15, Menu - Southwestern Stew, cornbread muffins, drinks and cookies & brownies The Council has purchased a tent for the event and there are two UT Extension Banners that can used. The Council will need to decide at the October County Council Meeting whether or not they want to purchase an FCE banner so that there will be time for it to be designed and printed before Host of Christmas Past in November. I’m Ethel Bonner, the new UT Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Agent in Lincoln County. I graduated from Tennessee
