Innovative document matching & collation

All our services are in-house which,as a fully authorised and regulatedDownstream Access provider, includes the sorting and sending ofmail direct to the postman for finalmile delivery. By using our own sorting machinery and consolidatingoutput, we can offer significantly improved discounts on the standardpostage rates.

Year on year our technical excellencehas achieved outstanding results forour councils. FDM were an innovatorof matched bills and notifications toreduce output spend and through decisive industry changes like the discontinuation of Royal Mail ‘Walksort,’ we have helped to realiseequivalent, if not better postage savings.

Today the emphasis is on machine-readable mail for the largest postagediscounts. FDM has already passedRoyal Mail’s quality assurance accreditation and can help make allyour letters meet address and window requirements.

We use market leading GMC ‘Inspire’software that can enhance your billingdata, improve layouts, words or values, add barcodes, signatures,translate or output for the visually impaired.

With fantastic products like Data2mailfor bulk mailings and Hi-mail, FDM’shybrid mail solution, overheads likefranking machines, printers and postroom resources are eliminated fromyour budget requirement.

FDM holds over 40 public sector contracts and frameworks and understands that long-term improvement is a key priority. Wework with our customers to investigate ways in which costs ofproducts and services can be minimised and, as part of a typicalservice agreement, continuous improvement plans are developed toidentify cost savings and improvement opportunities.

Pre-print litho

FDM uses the very best print technology to providethe highest quality products, regardless of size orquantity. All our presses are equipped with the rightfeatures to accurately reproduce colours and storesettings to protect brand integrity.

Laser printing

FDM uses the latest high-speed lasers for your personalised data to improve productivity and reduce turnaround time. They provide options of variable spot colour and simple but effective highlighting like <arrears balances> in red to help messages stand out.

Enclosing & finishing

FDM operates mailing machines that can handle allthe recognised sizes from C4 to C6 and can insert different sized documents multi-directionally. They are laser-controlled, using OMR and barcode technology to accurately match effectively unlimited multiples of pages from different paperstock, then collate and insert in the same envelope.
