My Vision for the Community (Market Feasibility)• Host more nutritional/ wellness related classes and programs for the adults, teens and children- the use of traditional/ holistic medicines

• Build more Navajo based colleges

• Build more educational/cultural centers for tourist and the communities

• Make all casinos smoke free

• Domestic violence centers, fully staffed licensed employees’ for women and children

• Build safe spaces for youth

• More recreational centers for the community

• More Navajo owned businesses/ franchises

• Use more natural resources for energy conservation

• Cleanup and revamp all national parks

• Create more living space for community

Project Breakdown• . This will be a long going project for the community

• It will be organized through community/ Tribal Member

• This will generate profits by providing services for the community as well as build community through outsiders (tourists, non tribal members of the Navajo Nation).

• Funding to be provided by grants, outside investors, non- profits, community involvement, revenue from current businesses, casinos, tourism.

• The services are made for the community and some for outsiders to help develop cultural awareness

Project Breakdown Main Goals• Build safe spaces/buildings for community ex. Domestic violence

centers for women and children, safe space centers for youth as well as safe for “Two Spirits”/LGBTQ, recreational spaces for community, spaces for community based education and prevention classes.

• Environmental Conservation- maintaining conservation of the land and its environment.

• Entrepreneurism- continually have more opportunities of Navajo- runned businesses and franchises.

General Operations Model- Locations: Around the whole reservation especially those

communities that seem to need the most services as well as places where tourists are more active for the Navajo owned businesses.

- The size of operation: varies in operation based on the different specific building for the future businesses, recreation centers, libraries, cultural centers, and etc.

- New Innovations: Natural energy resources, new aged technology (solar, social media, educational tools).

Technology• Includes new aged technology and equipment to further education

and cultural awareness.(Updated computers, touchscreen abilities, social media, updated literature for library, wifi, solar panels).

●Personnels and staff are required to have mandatory cultural trainings. As well as offer many other trainings to the community.

Required Capital Improvements• Utilize as much old buildings as we can, re-purpose with new aged

technology and green technology

• Build new buildings for businesses and for living spaces too

• Also keep in mind with location and cultural awareness (burial grounds, sacred areas)

Benefits towards community• Economic impact- more revenue to be used and made by the community

• Social Impact- bringing the community to a better place as well as keeping our cultural traditions and values while showing those outside the community cultural appropriation and the fact that we exist and we offer a lot.

• Impacts on surrounding communities

- Pro: future development of the Navajo Nation in all aspects benefiting the well being of its people.

- Con: more development= more outsiders. Also the idea of change for the community.

In Conclusion..• Navajo Nation has a lot to offer currently however...

• Much needed improvement of its community

• Lots of ideas, trial and error

• Would overall be great investments for the Navajo Nation especially for generations and generations to come.
